"This is for a Ipad Pro A1980 screen replacement. The difficulty would be 3, except for the Lidar, the logic board cover adhesive & the stringy adhesive. The replacement screen doesn't include Lidar and is not mentioned on the product page. So did not install lidar which is used for face recognition and apparently back camera. Also the increase volume doesn't work now. The adhesive should include instructions on how to install. The teardown did not mention lidar or the two 3/4" steel pieces attached to the top of the screen. I rate the difficulty as a 1. The
Ipad does mostly function.

"They product delivery was ahead of schedule and replacement battery for my laptop was a perfect match.
As side note, bought the tool kit to do the repair from BestBuy store even before i ordered the battery and was impressed by the quality. Totally worth the money."
"Excellent repair tool package and online instructions! Even the replacement seal package was first-rate and worked the first time.
Once I got the screen separated from the case, the rest went according to the instructions.
The hardest part was separating the screen from the case. I ended up with the point of a paring knife inserted almost vertically and then rotated to the horizontal to break the seal and open a gap wide enough to insert the plastic spudger, which then worked well after that. I did put a small gouge in the aluminum case with the knife blade. It's hard to know how hot to heat the case without damaging the big button or the electronics. It probably should be stated that the heat needs to be applied to the back (case side) and not the screen side. I used a rice bag heated in the microwave. Maybe if I had heated it more the knife would not have been necessary. Anyway, more tips on screen removal would be my only suggestion for improvement.
Overall, great job, iFixit!"
"Lightning fast experience. It allowed me to clean my keyboard quickly and efficiently. Thanks!"
"I was able to complete a full screen repair in my IPhone 11 Pro Max within ~20m. "
"I've had three interactions with ifixit so far.
1. Screen replacement kit plus tools for pixel 4.
2. Warranty replacement of the above mentioned screen three months after it was replaced.
3. Pixel 4 XL battery replacement.
1. The kit had everything I needed; however, I expected a lot more out of the quality of the parts. The spudgers and pry picks were all fine, but the screw driver was on par with something from Harbor Freight, maybe even lower. The replacement screen needed to be replaced three months later due to an intermittent flashing at low brightness. overall this experience is a 2 out of 5. It technically fixed the phone, but if I have to do it every three months then what's the point? The tools are cheap and basically only good for one repair. I took one look at the screw driver and used my own set. Oh, and the videos on YouTube were much more helpful than the repair guides and videos ifixit provided. Ifixit recommended a process that included about ten extra steps that were completely useless and would only make the repair more complicated and prone to more mistakes. If they would pay me I could make a much better video detailing not only the steps involved but also common mistakes and troubleshooting tips. It's not hard to provide a good service, it just takes a little bit of money to pay people who know what they're doing.
2. The warranty repair process was decent at best. They sent me a new screen but I had to have multiple emails back and forth with them just to get to that point. They even had me mail the old screen back as if that mattered at all. And when I didn't repair the screen and send the old one back within ten days of the warranty being filed they emailed me asking what was taking so long. I have a job, my life doesn't stop to make sure I fix this phone as soon as the part is delivered. The communication felt like all of the worst micromanagement I've encountered in the companies I've worked at. Not a great experience at all. I felt pressured to do the repair the entire time, which is never good for repairing electronics. I repair electronics for a living, I can only imagine what a laymen would feel during this encounter.
3. The battery I received for the Pixel 4 XL was a direct replacement for the battery I had that went bad. Can't really say anything bad about it, the battery was cheap and it was an OEM part. great experience.
To sum everything up, I've had two OK-ish experiences with ifixit and one good one. It's honestly sad that they are the best in the business. Surely someone can do better, this looks like an opportunity for some good competition. Unfortunately there is none, so you are stuck with ifixit, which is better than nothing for now. "
"I ordered a hem 055 motherboard for my ps4 controller and it arrived dead Partially"
"I am pretty tech savvy, but my repair didn't go well. Ifixit.com was great in providing a video on how to replace a battery in my daughter's laptop. Unfortunately, the computer is an MacBook. Apple products are never easy, but the video was very clear, and so I ordered the battery and the repair kit and proceeded to follow the instructions. The process is very easy. The only tool I need from the repair kit was the pentahead driver, very helpful, since I already own most of the other items. After reassembly the keyboard and mousepad did not work. Ifixit support suggested several things. I replaced both ribbon cables involved, though I did not think they were bad. Still no working keyboard or mousepad. I would have given a five star, but since my repair was unsuccessful I gave a four. I would definitely go to ifixit.com for my next repair. Shipping was very quick. My suggestion would be do not buy an Apple product."
"Watched logic board replacement steps with photos to get best instructions on how to get this done right. The display had some lines/boxes for first 12 hours or so after replacement. Love this old phone and glad it’s no longer obsolete. Follow all the steps and be rewarded."
"I replaced my iPhone X battery but phone keeps switching off after 30 minutes of use bz battery is heating up.
Worst product. I end up recycling my phone with apple !!!!!!!

"Every time I have anything to do with iFixit they are prompt, courteous and go over and above to help.
Awesome place. "
"Love iFixit and what they do for the community at large. Apple, in particular, is frustrating in their quest to keep us from fixing our own equipment. iFixit makes there kits well and instructions clear. Made a difficult job not easy but doable. Thanks."
"The part I bought showed up quickly and was packaged well. I had the customers xbox back to him the next day. "
"I was able to breathe new life into the iPhone SE even though I popped the screen off pretty hard. Was able to put everything back according to the video, and it all works. Extra Phillips screw (to replace the pentalobes) was a nice touch. Have ordered a second battery pack to help out the other iPhone SE we have with a quickly-dying battery."
"I installed the battery on my iPhoneX. It was relatively easy to install. I found a good 3rd party video which went into detail.
Its too early to tell. Phone is working, and hold charge. I will update this review should anything change.
