Bait and Switch

"I called and asked them about a TV they were selling. Specifically, it's the LG OLED65C7P model, their price is close to $1,000 cheaper than anyone else. I asked them specifically, it's "New" not factory reconditioned, unopened, etc... Yes, it is. But, and this is HUGE. I placed the order, then had to call in to verify the order, by providing the code from the back of my VISA card. I asked the guy why the deal was so great, he said, "Oh those are the 8-bit TV's, the original low serial number units, released in Jan. 2017". The newer ones, with the 10-bit color he said, are almost $1,000 more expensive, he said. The newer ones "Don't have the motion blur problem" he also said. I cannot find any reviews anywhere that mentions any motion blur issues on these OLED displays at all, but I do suspect the older sets will not work well with HDR10 and Dolby Vision as advertised on the site. It doesn't tell you anywhere on the item listing that you are getting a "Outdated, outmoded 8-bit color display" (giving you a total of 24-bit color vs. 10-bit displays which give you 30-bit color and are compatible with HDR10 and Dolby Vision). You aren't informed of that fact until you call, apparently. The guy may have goofed while talking to me, but I cancelled my order right away, I'm not being charged an additional $900+ for something that was not advertised! And that "10-bit" higher serial number unit isn't displayed anywhere on their site! Simple case of "Bait and switch". Very nefarious."

poor confirmation of placed order and shipping date

"Had to call office to confirm order, waited 20+ minutes to connect call, rep was in hurry to complete call and did not take time to clearly respond to questions and hung up before all questions were answered. Rep emailed out order confirmation that was incorrect; recalled but had to wait in que for another 20+ minutes, got disconnected, recalled and waited another 15+ minutes to speak with same rep. Apparently only one rep is available to take calls, is too busy and hurried. Rep sent email stating my order placed on 29 Jan was shipped on 30 Jan, but website still on 1 Feb stated order is in processing (not shipped). Credit card transaction states my payment is pending as of 1 Feb, so not sure why rep stated order shipped on 30 Jan when my credit card transaction has not been posted. I suspect the order is in back order status and the item is not in stock (contrary to info stated on web page)...not sure if the order will be completed."
