"My entire teenhood, I have never bought a single dress for myself for any kind of high school dance or anything so I was so extremely excited to be able to buy my first dress. I was looking online because everyone had said that buying prom dresses online were a lot cheaper than buying them in store. When I found Micwell I noticed that their prices were decent and the models that wore the dresses looked gorgeous and so I found a dress that I wanted. My first irk was that you can't see how the dress looks in the different colors.. and they didn't even provide the color that the dress in the picture was in. Micwell provides "swatches" of their fabric colors.. and when the dress arrived I was so appalled to see that the color of the swatch and the dress were not very close... Secondly, the dress I had ordered a dress that had these draping sleeves in addition to the regular shoulder sleeves.. I didn't want the draping sleeves so I asked Micwell to leave them off since it would actually help them with time and materials.. They emailed me back CONFIRMING that they had noted it. When I received the dress.. the sleeves were still on.... I tried on the dress and I HATED IT. It was so padded that it was extremely heavy even though the picture made it look so incredibly light and airy. I decided I was going to return it since it was in PERFECT condition... especially since the original draping sleeves were still attached. I emailed Micwell asking them for the return address understanding that I would need to ship it on my own expense.. Little did I know that the store was actually situated in China.... so the cost of shipping the extremely heavy dress was $55! Nothing on their website says anything about shipping from China.. And even with that.. When I asked them for the return address, I had to exchange 23 irritating e-mails before they actually gave me the address.. Instead of having great costumer service, they tried to bribe me by giving me $10 to go to a local seamstress to take the sleeves off.. Well to begin with, undoing all the seams and taking the sleeves off would cost much more than $10... and then they tried to give me $15 and a discount ON MY NEXT PURCHASE. They finally gave me the address and I shipped it to them... I waited 3 months for them to email me.. but I decided to email them first.... they said the dress hadn't arrived even though the tracking website said it had... weeks later, they said they would refund my money.... and again.. after badgering and emailing them over the course of two more weeks they said they had given me my refund.. even though they hadn't... this is when I decided to involve the bank.. and I showed them all the evidence with the receipts and the NUMEROUS e-mails.. and so finally... 5 months later, I finally got my $150 back.... and I am as irate as I was 5 months ago about what kind of company Micwell really is.. DO YOU BUY FROM MICWELL EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. My prom experience was ruined due to this company. I ordered my dream dress months in advanced and paid for "express tailoring", just to ensure that it will arrive on time. The first time I ordered it without the express tailoring and the expected arrival date was a day after prom. I changed my order and even emailed them to ensure that it will get here on time. They told me it would be there at least a week before my prom date. I checked the mail everyday. I continued to email the company, since that was the only form of information I had for them. They lied and kept telling me it was on the way. I wondered why it was taking them so long to respond to one simple email. Until finally a day before prom, I received an email saying that they regret to inform me that it was JUST shipped out and should be there in a few days. I was devastated and demanded a refund. I told them they can keep the dress; I don't need it after my prom date. They said, "well maybe you'll consider using it for another event" or they can give me a coupon for my NEXT order. I told them I would never do any form of business with them ever again. I had to threaten them by destroying the reputation of their company in order to receive a guaranteed refund, upon their arrival of the original dress. I had to find a new prom dress a day before my prom! Nothing special was left by that time. The dress finally got here a week or two after. The dress came after the expected arrival date WITHOUT express tailoring. It was hideous!!! It looked like a cheap imitator of the picture! I wouldn't be caught dead in that terrible dress. I sent it back as soon as it got to my house. I just don't want anyone else to go through everything that I had to endure. Then from there they took a while to refund my money, even after they received the dress. Micwell has terrible customer service and was the worst company that I have ever experienced! If you've already ordered, cancel it! I learned my lesson."
"Micwell was a great experience. Excellent customer service, they got back to me within 24 hours and made changes on the dress. It looks close to the stock picture. Since they recreate the dresses from scratch, the dress you receive won't look exactly like the stock photo, but it will look pretty close."

"I ordered a Homecoming dress for my daughter and measured to make sure of the exact size. First the shipping was delayed and I received an email asking if I still wanted the dress. I replied yes and that should have been my first clue. When we received the dress and tried it on, it did not fit and I took to a local tailor to see if it could be let out and there is not enough. The measurement is not what we ordered and when I sent an email to return or make right they keep asking for pictures and I have sent 7 different pictures and they still say they are wrong. I have asked for return instructions and they refuse to send to me. Very disappointed with the service and have a dress that cannot wear. I have contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge as they are not responding."
"I ordered my wedding dress from Micwell on 08/01/2012, and I received it on 08/15/2012. The shipping was with DHL Express, and it arrived to me within two business days, which is REALLY fast since shipping is from China to the United States. Micwell’s Customer Services responded to all of my e-mails with concerns and inquiries within 24 hours. Overall, I am very happy with the style and quality of my wedding dress and Micwell’s Customer Service, and I will shop at Micwell again.
Here’s my story: I am getting married, and I do not have a large budget for a wedding dress. Prior to coming across Micwell, I was planning to buy a really nice plain slinky white dress and passing it off as my wedding dress. As I was browsing for evening dresses for my sister to wear to my wedding, I came across Micwell. I saw the most beautiful chiffon style wedding dress on their website for a little over $200.00. It was EXACTLY the style I wanted. I know Micwell uses stock photos from other designers, and they recreate their designs from scratch at seriously 1/10th of the price. The downside of it is that I cannot see the final style or quality of the dress until AFTER they make it, and if I were to not like the dress once I receive it, I would just have to suck it up because I certainly was not going to waste my time disputing it with a company that is located in China. The customer service for Micwell is excellent. After I placed my order for the wedding dress, I realized that Micwell had two versions of the dress – one with a high neckline and one with a sweetheart neckline. I e-mailed Customer Service and inquired about whether the neckline is a high neckline or a sweetheart neckline since their website had images of both on that one listing. Annie Chung e-mailed me back within 24 hours, and she asked me to draw her a picture of how I wanted the dress to look. I e-mailed her a picture with a sweetheart neckline, and within 24 hours, she told me that she went to the tailor and showed them the neckline I wanted. I received it yesterday, and it exceeded my expectations. The dress is absolutely beautiful and they used a lot of fabric on the train of my dress, which made it look a lot more expensive than what I paid for. I am very happy with my wedding dress, and I will order from Micwell again.
I think one of the reasons why Micwell gets such negative reviews is because people think that the stock photo they see on the website is the EXACT dress they are going to get because it isn’t. The tailors at Micwell probably keep the photo of the dress that they are making on their work space, and they do the best they can to make a replica of it and tailor it to your specifications. It’s a risk you are taking when you want a $2,000.00 dress for a little over $200.00, but it was worth the risk to me because I really wanted the dress. For me, it worked out perfectly because I was honestly so excited about my dress last night that I could not sleep. Annie Chung was very receptive to my questions and concerns. I am getting married in October, and I am excited to be wearing such a beautiful dress.
Here are some tips:
1. Have realistic expectations. Micwell uses stock photos from other designers, and they recreate their designs from scratch at seriously 1/10th of the price. Did I truly expect a dress I was paying $200.00 for to be the same quality of a $2,000.00 dress from a stock photo they used? Absolutely not. However, the dress I received is the same style of the dress I wanted with similar beading patterns and with a good amount of fabric and it looks expensive. Overall, I am happy with what I got for what I paid for.
2. Use pictures and images. Micwell’s Customer Service responds well to pictures and images. So, if you want your dress to look a certain way, attach photos to Customer Service to see if they can tailor it to that specification and if there is a cost attached to it.
3. Plan accordingly. If you are ordering a dress for a special event, take into consideration that Micwell is recreating a dress from scratch. It takes time for them to make a dress from scratch and it takes time for them to ship a dress from China. I know they have a table of how long each process takes in between making it and shipping it, but I think it is generally safe to add a couple of days for cushion.
4. Very fast shipping. They shipped my dress with DHL Express. It only took two business days for it to be shipped from China to the United States. I imagine it being quite expensive for them to ship it Express, but I appreciated that effort. When I placed my order, Micwell had a 70% off shipping deal, so it only cost a little bit over $20.00 for shipping. They also e-mailed me a tracking number for me to track the package.
I do not normally write reviews for businesses, but when I was waiting for my dress from Micwell, I got a really bad feeling about it just from reading the negative reviews by previous posters on Micwell. I was worried that my dress would never arrive, it would not fit me, it would be in the wrong color, etc. In actuality, the dress arrived at my doorstep earlier than expected, Customer Service responded very quickly and was very helpful, and the dress itself was perfect. Hopefully, my very detailed review would help some people to see whether or not Micwell will work for them."

"This company makes cheap knock offs. I couldn't wear my dress due to its poor craftsmanship. I wasn't the only one, my friend who bought her dress at the same time couldn't either. The stitching, the slit, the fastenings, the waist- the dress has no value in that condition. This dress couldn't fit anyone because of the disproportional measurements. No one should buy a dress from this site ever. I have lost $200 and I will never see it again. And yet they offered me a $10 coupon as if I were to buy from them again. It is ridiculous how much they can get away with and take your money. I have sent the dress back and they claim they did the right measurements even though it wasn't at all. What they claim to give me back will not even cover shipping. "

"DO NOT TRUST THEM! I bought my dress for prom and I ordered a size 4. When I receive the dress, it was at least a size 6. The dress is not only too big, but it didn't fit me right. I order the dress two months in advance so there would be plenty of time for me to tailor and fix it (just in case). Since it was not my fault the dress was in the wrong size, I emailed the company since I can't called their INTERNATIONAL number. The email between me and the customer service took forever. Eventually, Nina (the rep) finally accepted the fault and said that they will pay for tailoring. I took the dress to a tailoring place and it will cost $180US dollars to fix the dress. I took a picture of the receipt and emailed it to Nina/Michelle (the reps) and their respond was that that price is to expensive and they will not pay for it. The website and the rep said that they will pay for tailoring but they changed their minds when they saw the price. If they didn't want to pay for it, they shouldn't have made the mistake. Afterwards, they gave me the WORST options ever. They basically said they will pay $35 dollars for me to fix the dress. That's less than 20% of how much I am paying to fix it. The other option is that I ship it back WITH MY OWN MONEY so they can reexamine it and refund me. But there's a catch, if they don't think the fault is there's, they will only refund me 5%-50% of the actually price. They can just basically claim that it's not their fault and I will lose all my money.
I advice everyone to not trust them. Just pay a little more for a different website/company, it's worth it. "

Do NOT purchase a dress from this company. I believe that any good reviews you find are the company themselves writing the reviews. You can also check additional sites for more information on how this company has not delivered or delivered and less than desirable product. It is unfortunate, we have ordered 5 dresses from the internet and this is the first company we had a problem with, problem was it was my daughters Senior prom this time, anyway she got a beautiful dress off the rack two days before at a local bridal shop and looked gorgeous despite this ridiculous and unnecessary stress by not receiving the dress we ordered.

"I came on this site to update my review from April and, surprise! It’s gone. Notice that all the good (paid) reviews are on the first page and the further you go back the worse they get? Well, anyway, my first review stated that we ordered a dress and paid the extra $29.99 for Express Tailoring to guarantee that we would get it by April 15th. (we ended up getting it on the 25th). We sent numerous e-mails trying to get a tracking number and could not get an answer from anyone. Absolutely no communication from them. So, not knowing if we were going to get it on time or not, we ordered another dress from someone local (which we will do next year). I then started refund proceedings through my credit card. They immediately put a TEMPORARY refund on my card. I also sent Micwell an e-mail telling them not to send the dress, it was too late. She finally responded saying the dress had already been shipped and we got a tracking number. Long story short, we kept that dress and cancelled the other one. At this point, I called my credit card and told them that I kept the dress, so they reversed the credit and put the charge back on my credit card. I’ve sent Micwell copies of my credit card statement proving this. All I’m trying to get now is the refund for the extra $29.99 that we paid. They also offered an extra $20 to us for all our trouble, but they don’t technically owe me that. Now they refuse to refund the $29.99, claiming that I haven’t paid for the dress. They know I have, they’re just trying to save a little money by refusing me my refund. This company is a scam. Their “customer service” is the worst I’ve ever encountered. They don’t even have a phone number (wonder why). Obviously, we, and everyone we know, will never buy anything from them again. I’ve also started proceedings with the Better Business Bureau and I will go on every website I can think of and share this story. I’m sure this review will also be deleted shortly."
