"I've ordered a beautiful dress from Micwell, despite the negative feedback. I've had regular contact via email with Nina Wong and she was incredibly helpful. I received my tracking number so I can see where in the world my dress is and was pleasantly surprised that after 2 days of shipping I will have it here with me. I was wary of how long it would take to tailor and deliver the dress but it hasn't taken as long as I expected. I'm excited for receiving my dress later on today and will write another review on the actual dress."

"Horrendous. My daughter ordered a prom dress that was enormous, had an elastic backing that was cheap and sewn in crooked. The underlining was 4 inches short, very visible under the sheer chiffon fabric. Cheap acetate lining was used. Different fabric was used for the bodice, so the colors were way off. I ordered a petal pink for the dress, part of the dress was made in a medium pink. I had to order express service, so the $140 dress became a $200 dress with all the extra shipping. I wouldn't pay $50 for it in a store. I was a buyer for Macy's so I know construction of garments. Customer service was terrible, I have sent pictures, measurements etc. showing the problems, but Annie keeps dodging the issue. I'm obviously not getting my money back, but I will do everything I can do to warn people about this site. You will be terribly disappointed. Go to a cheap store in the mall. You will do much better in quality, design and price. "

I ordered a prom dress for my daughter from Micwell. The dress came after 6 weeks and was the wrong size. We ordered the size according to their size chart. The dress had no Micwell Tag, no tag showing the size or fabric specifications and how to care for the garment. Dress was way too big and wrinkled beyond believe. The only thing inside the dress was a pair of earrings.
Dress looked like came out of a garage sale.
We were very disappointed and wanted to return the dress for a full refund. I sent several emails to Micwell customer service with no result. I was told they will not refund my money because this is the size we ordered. Customer service did not care that quality and workshop was bad. What a scam. Customer satisfaction should be their number one priority. I will never order from Micwell again. Do not waist your money, don't order from this company. you will have nothing but headache. My daughter was not the only one that got bad quality dress 7 of her friend had the same experience.

"I strongly recommend this company in its products and its conduct. My dress arrived two days early and it looked absolutely amazing and fit perfectly. I live on the east coast of the US and it took a month for my dress to be tailored and delivered. Great company!"

"VERY disappointed with the experience. The dress arrived a week and a 1/2 later than the 6 week estimation and only after I email inquiring as to where my shipment was. It was too late for my duaghter to wear to her event by the time it arrived. It is a good thing we found a replacement a few days before we needed it.

When the dress did arrive it was NOT the same dress represented in the picture, close, but not the dress we thought we ordered. the Jeweles and dress color were not even close to what was represented in the picture. The trim hung bad and drooped. The construction of the dress seemed fine but it fit sooooo poorly, one breat cup was even larger than the other and bulged out at top. I asked for a refund based on these facts and is all I got was, "let us see what we can do, can you send us photo's?". Really? It is too late to try to attempt to have this dress fixed and altered. I actually thought that if I ordered this almost 2 months prior to needing it I would have had plenty of time. but obviously not. Then when failure to preform in the time frame given(on the Merchants part) I ask for a return slip for refund that is all I get, " send us some photo's" I am going on 3 weeks now of requesting a return slip. and FYI there are no Return Policies posted on their web site.

Would never reccomend this company and I am in the process of disputing the charges with my Credit Card Company. Guess that is an expensive lesson to learn."

I placed my order on 4/18/12 and I received my dress 5/15/12, a week and a half before my promised date.. The dress is very beautiful, well quality too.. "I have sent various emails regarding the dress that I need to have shipped before May 19th. I receive no response whats so ever, this is so unprofessional. I don't understand how I am even able to fix the problem. I have been trying to get express tailoring but I'm unable to since this unreliable, bad service, unprofessional company can not seem to respond back to one simple email. I don't understand the ignorance of your business. If I do not receive my dress before the day of my prom May 19th, I will send the dress back and order my money back. Don't tell me that I can't get my money back because no where in your website did I agree or did it state unable to receive a refund. "

"After a bit more than a month since I ordered my dress, I've finally received it today! It took longer than what I expected with the shipping since my house number was mysteriously missing from the delivery, so that pushed back the delivery date by one day. When I first opened the dress, I didn't smell any fish smells like the previous reviews and my dress was flipped inside out. (I thought they messed up my material at first.) The dress itself fits pretty well for a standard size--the bust is a little bit too big, and the dress is too long, however, the empire waist's beading detail is a bit off centre at the back. (It makes it look like the centre's actually somewhere other than the true centre.) Overall, the dress looks pretty much like the picture they put up, just some little detailing flaws. (I also think they swapped the sequins for fake pearls, but I can't really tell from the picture.) The earrings that came with the review are pretty, but they're hoop earrings and I don't think they match with my dress. I don't think I would buy from micwell again as it took quite a long time and I kept having heart attacks whenever I read a bad review about them. Plus, I think attention to detail needs to be looked upon more. "

"Let me start by saying that this experience was a first and a last. I had never ordered anything online that was not from amazon or ebay, so I was skeptical from the very beginning. It was referred to me by a friend of a friend. This is my daughter's first formal ever and she wanted something special and it seemed affordable, so on the advice of someone else, we ordered what seemed like her dream dress. On March 27th I purchased the dress. I immediately realized from the charges on my credit card that I was dealing with a someone from out of the states. I was still not worried at that point. The order said 24-26 business days, which would be cutting it close since her prom is May 5th, but I was thinking with that much time, it must be the worse case scenario and we would still receive it. I was then advised by the friend to go back and pay for expedited shipping, which I did, and then I received this email back from customer service:

I have confirmed your payment for express tailoring. the dress will reach you by April 30!

When I did not receive an email with a tracking by April 29th, I sent an email back to Annie Chung to see if I should have received one. This is the response tha I got back (note how similar it is to the other reviews on this site):

Dear Michelle,
I am so sorry to tell you that your dress didn’t pass our quality inspect, so we have to take it back and get alteration, I will check with our tailor to see when the dress will be ready to ship and get back to you okay?
And I'd like to refund you the express tailoring fee.. We'll refund you upon your answering back..

Now, at this point I am 4 days away from my daughter's prom, no dress, the gentleman has purchased a certain color vest, and I'm out of of $183 plus another $30 for an expedited shipping fee. Prior email response from Annie came in 24 hours. Now that I requested my money back, I have not heard anything in two days about the dress or my money.

I guess if I had checked the reviews first, I would have known better. All I can say is buyer beware. Apparently some people have had good experiences with this company, but if you are like me, you feel like a fool. I'm a single parent that works so hard for my money and to think I'm buying my daughters 1st dream dress just to end up with nothing is a very hurtful feeling. A very hard way to learn that everything that glitters aint gold.
