"The worst company i have every dealt with. Sent out 3 emails, 4 long distance phone calls and got nothing back. Other then the automated email that gets sent out when you first place your order, I havent recieved anything about my order. It has been 1 week and my order is still in the process status."
"I purchased a hard drive from them, and the product was priced well, shipping was a bit high but tolerable, and it arrived properly packaged in a timely manner. The trouble was that up until one day before it's arrival I recieved no email to let me know of the order status, and the web link showed the same info as it had right after the order was placed. I tried unsuccessfully to call and email to find the status of my order. Finally I canceled the order, only to be told it had been shipped, and it arrived the next day. So the story is, good prices high shipping, and terrible customer service. I shudder to think what I'd do if I had to RMA something there. Fortunately my hard disk carries a manufacturers warrantee, and I would only shop there again if the price was really low, and the item carried a maufacturers warrantee."
"It's been so long since I ordered from this company that I don't remember too many of the details surrounding the original order. I believe that everything I ordered was a good price, shipping was a little high but manageable, and everything arrived on time.
That being said, I will never order from this company again. If you have any reason to need support from USSA.com you might as well forget about it. Their response to emails to either ****@**** or ****@**** either takes weeks or never happens at all. Trying to contact them phone is an effort in futility. In all the times I've tried to call there is only one time that I've gotten through to anyone.
Now for the anecdotal details.
I ordered a 512MB DIMM
That DIMM was bad and tested bad
After several tries, I finally manged to get USSA to issue me an RMA number.
I shipped the DIMM back exactly as they requested.
I received an email stating that they recieved my package.
From there I heard nothing from the company.
When I finally managed to elicit a response from their RMA department, it was to tell me that a replacement had bee shipped, and they provided a tracking number.
The tracking number they sent me was for a package that had been delivered before I even received the email from them saying they shipped it, and it showed as having an address in a totally different state.
When I questioned them, they said I must have asked for information on the wrong RMA number.
After double and triple checking, I made sure that I had indeed asked for the number I was sent by them as my RMA number.
Now I have twice sent emails asking for them to clear up this mess, and in those emails I have attached copies of every email I received from them about the RMA.
I have still received no notice on either of those emails, and I still do not have a working 512MB DIMM.

"Excellent experience! Ordered a motherboard on-line. Price was competitive. Shipping and handling cost was so-so(same range as competitors). Shipped as advertised with UPS. It took 7 days for delivery (a UPS issue). E-mail notification for order receipt as well as shipment confirmation. Package arrived in good condition. Would do business with them again."
"I purchased a video card from them. They were the cheapest on pricewatch. Shipping wasn't too bad, $8.00, alittle high, but acceptable. BUT, when it arrived I put it in an old Gateway P166. Power up, no BIOS display on the monitor. Trying a different monitor didn't work (keeping in mind these monitors were plugged into existing cards with no problem). So I though maybe it's the computer. So it's on to a year old Tyan box of mine. No go, still no display. So it's on to a new P4 Dell system. Ditto results. So I e-mailed USSA.com and explained all of this, and requested a RMA. I shipped it out. I received an e-mail, yesterday (05/21/02) only 1 week since I had shipped it out saying that it was found to be working fine in an ABIT KR7A-Raid. Now it's hard for me to believe out of 4 different monitors and 3 different M/B combinations that one wasn't comparable to the ABIT and it miraculously works in the ABIT. In the e-mail it stated that I could either, pay 15% restocking fee, or pay $10 and have it shipped back. I opted for the 15% b/c regardless of whether it works in the ABIT, it doesn't work in any of the computers I tried it in, therefore it doesn't do me any good.
Bottom line, use caution when ordering from this company. Whether they get you with shipping like so many others or whatever game they're playing now, BEWARE.
======== Update =============
Well I had been out of town and everything was happening and I forgot that I was expecting a refund. I realized that I hadn't received it a month after I had fufilled all of the RMA requirements and notified them that I wanted a refund minus the restocking fee. Well after many e-mails, numerous calls and voicemails, with NO response I'm turning it over to the dispute department at my credit card. I think two months is more than enough time to credit a refund back. And the lack of retuning calls or e-mails is rediculous."
"Had I just went by the comments on the board I wouldn't have got such a great deal on these items:
102052 INTEL P4 1.8 512K 478 PIN BO 1 $200.00 $0.00 $200.00
102303 P4 P4S DRAGON Ultra IN RETAIL 1 $140.00 $0.00 $140.00
102231 HYNIX 256MB PC2700 DDR NON EC 1 $60.00 $0.00 $60.00
The items arrived as described. Shipping was a bit high but net net it was still a good deal. I recommend using ussa.com."
"Fast but overpriced shipping. Member account proved useful. When an item was out of stock and you had it in your cart, they took it out. (rather than finding out its out of stock after u ordered). Parts work great, packing was great. E-mails were prompt and they are a few that except money orders. About the shiping..even tho its still high, u sometimes still cant beat the deals. Lowest priced floppy drives i have found!"
"This retailer came up as best priced for Seagate drives no mater which comparisson shopping search site I used. I had read the comments here about outrageous shipping charges and poor customer service and just skipped over them. However, I required multiple drives and prices was an issue. Even with the highly inflated shipping fees, these guys were the best deal, way ahead of number two. Hoping that the odds would play out for me, I placed the order. It arrived in several days, no problems, everything in order. Therefore I have no customer service experience to report, which seems to be the second biggest complaint with these folks. Their over-the-top shipping costs causes me to rate their prices as merely lower than others, whereas if they charged fair shipping, the prices would have been outstandingly low."
"I bought 2 64 mb DIMM memory sticks @ $9.00 each. Sounds like a great price
until you see the shipping! They are making a hefty profit! Both memory
sticks came in the same cardboard envelope. Would have cost no more than $3.50
for US Postal Service 3-day in a package like that, but they charged me $23.60,
and they are only about 40 miles from here!"
"Placed an order on 3/1/02, they didn't ship the order until 3/14/02. And they have the nerve to charge me $15.40 UPS ground shipping (CA to CA) on a 1 lb box."
"Goods arrived in good time, and were just as promised. However, contrary to their own terms and conditions they never advised me, as an International customer, of the actual shipping charge. I would not have paid US$50 shipping for a US$65 item! The actual postage on the item was only $28, so they pocketed a tidy profit. They've refused to acknowledge their error or give a refund, so I'll take it up with Visa now.
Always use your credit card to order!"
"Prices were the lowest I found, greatly offset by tremendously high shipping prices. Their customer service needs some serious work, though. I called in for an RMA on a processor that arrived DOA. No problem, got the number straightaway and shipped it back to them (at my expense). Time passed. I called and left a message with their RMA department. No call back. I eventually did get through to somebody -- NEARLY FOUR MONTHS LATER. They promised a call back, which I never received, but they did ship the replacement chip out."
