"I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I received from USSA.com. I ordered a Radeon 9500 Pro from them on 5/29/03 because they seemed to have it in stock (they had just changed their price listing w/ Pricewatch that morning). My order status sat in "Processing" for a week. I sent them two emails requesting status and to know if the item was in stock on 6/2 and 6/4 I cancelled my order this morning 6/5/03 and this evening I get an email saying my order has shipped. Um.. I cancelled my order because USSA.com would NOT respond to my emails and because they took forever to "Process" my order. I ordered another card this morning from MWAVE.com... and the card shipped out tonight as well. So now I've paid for 2 cards when I only wanted good service and one card."
"I ordered a CD-Rom through USSA on May 8th and it finally got processed on the 13th of May. Then it took till 20th may to get to my door. They advertise nothing about how long it will take to process or even an option of speedy processing. Last they say 5-6 days of ground time to ship. I will never do business with this company again..."
"They don't have their number on their web site. I found it on my bank statement.
I paid an additional $200.00 for 2nd Day Shipping. According to the USSA.com web site the products were in stock.
If it's going to take 5 days for them to put the product in a box and ship it to me I would like to be informed of that before I pay an additional $200.00 for 2nd day delivery.
Their phone number is ***-***-****, but don't bother it won't even let you leave a message.
I've had problems with other companies before from Pricewatch.
**UPDATE** I received a call, only after mentioning the Attourney General's Office, and Fraud By Wire Charges. The caller mentioned that they we're out of Micron Memory, and asked if they could substitute in order to ship on the 20th. Yes, of course you can substitute! How long was it going to take for them to call if I hadn't mentioned the Attourney General. I think the business practice of taking the money before even checking to make sure they have the product ready to ship is unethical. Of course this is how they trap you into the deal.
I do not recommend dealing with them.
"
"UPDATE 4/29/03
Turns out it arrived in the mail today - don't they e-mail any kind of shipping confirmation?
-------------------------------------
I ordered a USB 802.11b adapter, and 10 days later (on 4/29/03) its still listed as "Processing" my order. Bzzzt. I canceled...at least they had a way to do that thru their website.

"I bought a computer for my wife's business. The processor, fan and motherboard went out. I sent it back for warranty replacement on 2-11-03. To date I have received nothing back from them. I believe that the USSA.com is just hoping I will forget about my hardware and go away. I have sent them several e-mails, I did get an answer from them. But still no motherboard, fan or cpu.

"UPDATE: THIS FLOPPY WAS NOT BROKEN. REMOVING THE BEZEL TO FIT IT IN MY CASE MADE IT NON-FUNCTIONAL. I REPLACED THE BEZEL AS AN EXPERIMENT TODAY,AND IT DOES WORK, THOUGH IT WAS USED NOT NEW. They took 17 days to ship, but for $6 I don't feel totally ripped off, and they are not peverse. They sent something that works with their $3.85 postage to try and placate me. I didn't have a good experience with ussa.com, but they don't deserve the whole rap I gave them below. Sorry I spoke early.
I ordered a new Sony oem floppy drive from USSA.COM, for $6 shipped. A good buy, no? No! Not when dealing with this bunch. They shipped a used, broken, Teac floppy drive 17 days after it was ordered, after 5 increasingly annoyed e-mails. At $6, I dare not pay for shipping back. It is just not worth the risk that they will try to rip me off again to recover the difference between shipping and $6. They actually spent $3.85 Priority Mail postage to ship me a used broken floppy of the wrong make, so they are not only delinquent as a vendor, but perverse as well. STAY FAR AWAY is my advice. "
"I made an order on 3/24 and it took a full week before the item was shipped on 3/31. I feel that is too slow."
"They hide their phone number on their site for a reason!!! Ordered a 19" monitor... Sloooow delivery... when arrived realized it was junk and had problems. Only offered to allow me to send back to factory to wait for another. Not good. "
"At first this company looked ok, decent prices for multiple items I was looking for (512MB PC133 Ram, and Geforce4 Ti4200 128Mb). I sent them a money order on Feb 28th. On about March 6th I started to wonder, because they should have received funds by then. I emailed them twice, got no response... checked their website, it was down for some reason (not for very long, but it freaked me out), then lastly I find this resellerrating site with sooo many negative reviews, I thought for sure my money was long gone and I'd never get any products. I was deciding how I could cancel the money order.
The next day I got an email and what do you know, It's a FedEx Tracking number, with my delivery which was shipped on March 7th. It finally arived at my door today, March 11th. I recieved both products I ordered from the site. In the end I was satisfied, but I am pretty sure I will avoid using this company due to so many prior complaints. There are a lot of online stores and reliability is a must. I am glad I was in the lucky % who got their products in a timely fashion hassle free from this company."
"I bought a Gigabyte GA-7ZXE motherboard from them. When I got it home I found out it was pumping 1.88 volts to the core of my Athlon XP 1700+. THAT'S WAY OVERSPEC! It should be around 1.75v for the older ones and 1.65v for the newer. This board was putting out 1.88v (its "autodetected" and there is no way to force to a different voltage)! No good. So I took the board back (I'm local, oh yeah, they also charged me a $8 "handling" fee.... on a LOCAL pickup!!). They tell me they're going to have to test the board and varify my results. Then they tell me I might get charged $30 for this "testing". The next day a "technician" calls me and asks me what OS I am running as if it has anything to do with the core voltage, so right away I know they're full of sh!t. 3 days go by and I don't hear anything, so I call back. They tell me they got 1.88v also and that they already gave me a refund *minus 10% restocking fee and shipping*!!! How do you charge a customer a restocking fee for a defective product!? A restocking fee implies a working product returned for no reason that is going to be restocked and resold. But this board is no good! After half an hour of working them on the phone, trying to get all my money back (the difference they didn't refund amounted to a "lousy" $13), they reveal that they see no problem with this and the fact that their whole stock is the same is somehow proof its not a defect and that they are going to sell off their stock of 7ZXEs knowing this. I tell them this is rediculous and that I want a full refund. They tell me that I'm "wasting their time" and that I should be happy I wasn't charged $30+ for testing!! I'm the customer and I'm wasting THEIR time! All this over $13! If I was running a business and a customer was as upset as I am, I'd give them their $13 just to get them off my back and possibly continue to have them as a customer in the future. But I guess if they gave me my $13 back, little Lin couldn't afford to order pizza on me tonight. Hope they all choke on it. That's the last of my money they'll ever see.
BOTTOM LINE: Their customre service is atrocious! DO NOT! NEVER, EVER EVER EVER, buy from these people. If you don't believe me, just read their return policy. It should make you cringe."
"I order a Gainwards Ti 4200 xp/650 golden sample card . Credit card was billed and a week and 3 days later never recieved it though I asked for priority mail. Called them and they told me it was shipped. I asked when they told me 12-18 . I told them I never got it and they transfered me to shipping ... which was no one there . Order shows up on website as processing. I'm thinking about submitting going to the BBB for this and US Postal service as electronic mail order fraud. It seems alot of people have been duped by this company . my reccomendation is >>>>> DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM HERE ! ! ! ! ! "
"I recently ordered a Radeon 9700 Pro video card and a Soyo P4x400 motherboard from USSA.COM and my business with them has not gone smooothly. I got all the products on the exact shipping date specified, but one small detail was wrong. They had sent me the wrong motherboard. Sheesh. They sent me the AMD version of that motherboard, the KT7 Dragon. I don't see how a large company can mix up motherboards when each of them has a different box, different name, and different sku number. I will never order from them again, as I had heard many, many, MANY horrible things about them here on Resellerratings.com. This is not the first time they have done something like this to a customer.
12/27/02 Update:
I emailed ****@**** and ****@**** with an email stating that I received the wrong motherboard and UPS says that they already got it back in the mail. I asked them to ship it to me overnight at their expense, but I could anticipate that not happening. They received it on the 24th, and it's now the 27th and I still don't have a motherboard for my PC. This company is horrible. "
"I ordered a 17" LCD from this company due to their price. I received an email stating my order was shipped and had a link to Fedex to track my order. The link they gave me was to Fedex but without the tracking number. I have emailed them five times now with no response at all. I have no idea where my monitor is at and they will not get back with me. Please do not order from this company unless you like frustration to the tenth degree. The BBB is next on my call list.
Update 12-20-02 I received an email with a tracking number that started with "1ZA1526...." with a link to Fedex to track it. I knew this was wrong becuase UPS tracking numbers start with "1Z". Well I tried this number at both UPS and Fedex. This was a invalid number. I called back and this time the person on the phone gave me a tracking number that started with the numbers "0743774..." and told me that it was shipped Fedex. So I track this number with Fedex and it shows that this tracking number was shipped on 08-02-02 to a place in VA. I am in TN.! This is just a poor run company that has no business selling to the public. My question is how in the world do they keep the doors open ? I guess people like me who forget to check this website before making purchases.
UPDATE:12-23-02 Got an email today from ussa stating that they have just received the monitor and wanted to know if I still wanted it. I also got an email with yet another bogus tracking number that started with a
"1Z" number with a link to Fedex. Well I called the ussa and told them to forget it. I was told I would received full credit to my card. I will post the outcome of that when it happens."
"i came to ussa.com because they seemed to have the best price on packs of 50 jewel cases for cds, about $15.
when i tried to place my order, they tried to charge me more in shipping than the order cost, about $20.
i noticed that they happened to be located in my town, so i called them on the phone and asked if i could stop by their store and pick it up. the woman whom i talked to spoke very poor english, with a heavy chinese accent, and said if i came to their store to buy the cd cases, i would have to pay a $20 "pick-up" fee. lol! they want to charge me money for coming to their store and doing business with them!
i cancelled my order. i don't think i would ever buy from them, they seem pretty shady, and don't seem to care about the customer."
"I wish I had checked this site before making a purchase with this company.
On pricewatch, USSA had the motherboard I needed for a great price, so I placed the order.
Within 24 hours, my CC was charged the correct amount. Approximately 48 hours later, I received an email stating that my order was cancelled. No reason given.
I sent an email back, requesting the reason for the cancellation.
No response.
2 days later, I sent another email requesting the reason again, and also inquiring about the status of a credit for the previous charge.
No response.
1 day later, I tried calling the number listed on their website.
No response.
All in all, I sent a total of 7 emails, within the next 2 weeks, gradually letting my temper get the best of me in the emails.
It took a threat of contacting the local BBB and legal action to get the credit issued.
As of today, 12/8/02, I still haven't received the reason for the cancellation, nor have I even received a reply from any of my emails.
I'll chalk this up as a lesson learned. I also learned that I need to check out this site, before making any purchases.
Buyers beware."
