"I needed an EPOX 8KHA+ and called z-buy to see if they had it in stock, they were polite but a little hard to understand, anyway..they had it in stock and I ordered it..I like how they don't require you to register or anything. They shipped the board out the next day and it got here that week..worked great. I've been looking to buy from z-buy again since they have quick and free(on some items) shipping, and are out of state so I don't have to pay taxes..makes a good deal even better!"
"2nd time i purchased from them. they are a great value company. prices are better than newegg. contact list on website is bare though. shipping was good. will purchased from them again"
"these people are frauds"
"This is the 3rd time I buy on Z-BUY and I'm very pleased with their services.
I bought 2 IBM Desktar 60GB at an incredible price, and I just received a brand new Lite-on DVD player for 35$ retail box !!! I sent the order Friday and received the DVD player Thursday.
I would recommend buying retail things or EOM HD in sealed pack.
Only bad point: the checkout page was not working for at least 2 days, and they were not very fast answering email.
But for the price that they offer, they are really unbeatable."
"Z-Buy ripped me off! I ordered an Epox 8K3A with 6.1 audio, they sent me an 8K3A without the good audio. The packaging looked to have been opened because it was missing some of it's contents. I also ordered some Samsung True PC2700 memory and they sent me POWMAX which is a cheap knock-off. When I contacted them my emails would go 3-5 days unanswered. Then when they did respond it was generic and unhelpful. I called 8-10 times, but only got through once. When I did talk to the person she told me that she had 8 other people on the line and that she was too busy to help me.
Finally after much a-do they refunded my purchase, but only $109.95 instead of the original order price of $159.75! They charged me $50 for no apparent reason. I guess it was a big hassle for them to send me the wrong stuff so they thought $50 was adequate compensation.
I also chose FedEX shipping and they shipped UPS. This might not seem like a big deal, but it's typical of their level of communication. I've been dealing with them since MAY! That's 2 months!
Buyer beware. If they send you the right stuff consider yourself an exception. You will not get ANY type of service after the order. I will NEVER order from them again. I will NEVER recommend them to anyone. I highly suggest you stay away, there are too many other good online vendors. Try www.outsideloop.com www.pcnut.com www.mwave.com or www.newegg.com
You have been warned."
"The website took the order, processed it twice and sent me 2 confirmations. I sent e-mail to let them know I wanted one and to cancel the other, they sent the response a day later saying they had cancelled one. Then, after two days, they let me know they did not actually have the items I had ordered."
"Crap. More crap resellers!
Probably the wrong invoice number, because the email confirmation didn't include one. The receptionist was horrible the 1st time.
Our equipment got sent back and never delivered because of an incorrect address.
I called later to make sure that they knew I wasn't paying for any part of it. I was told that I was talking to cnet.com although this was the same number I had called before! I heard a dot matrix printer in the background.
I hung up and called the new number, talked to a new person and I heard the same dot matrix printer in the background!! What a pain! Is cnet and z-buy in bed together or what?!"
"I purchased a new ASUS A7A266 motherboard in September, 2001. Upon receipt, it turned out to be defective.
I finally received the replacement for the motherboard I returned under
RMA E20852861001.
I paid for a NEW motherboard. The board I originally received was new,
albeit defective. Because of the defect, I was forced to return it. I
did not receive a NEW motherboard as a replacement.
The board I returned was a NEW Asus A7A266 version 1.10. The board I
received in return was an OBSOLETE, used, A7A266 version 1.03. Among
the differences between the two boards that I found are, 1) the 1.03
board has no provision for changing the CPU multiplier, which the 1.10
allows; and, 2) the 1.03 version has no provision for swapping the
center channel on the audio output.
What it boils down to is, at this time, I do not have that for which I
paid! I paid for a NEW, FUNCTIONAL motherboard of the latest revision.
What I have is somebody else's obsolete reject.
Z-Buy has NEVER responded to my complaints!!
New info as of 6/4/02:
I sent a note to ASUS yesterday about my problem. I received an answer within 12 hours. The answer said:
"Dear valued Customer,
Thanks for Contacting ASUSTeK.
If it's me, i will return the rev 1.03 MB back to the Z-buy and ask them to replace it with a new rev 1.10 one. Because a7a266 rev 1.03 can't support AthlonXP cpu. Also the onboard audio is worse than the rev 1.10 one. The a7a266 rev 1.03 MB is an old MB! According to your problem, you say you can't use the second DDR memory on the MB, please set the jumper near the AGP slot to have a try. This Jumper allows the setting for DDR voltage. The default value is set at 2.5V. You may switch it to 2.6V to increase further compatibility. ¡" Also you can updata the bios to have a try. Here i have sent you the latest bios and the liveupdata."
As I stated in my previous message, I have attempted to contact Z-Buy, but they will not respond. They will not accept a return without an RMA, and they will not answer my request for an RMA. Their telephone is usually not answered, but when it is, the woman who answers merely promises a callback, which never comes.
At least ASUS responded.

"It appears that I made a very bad choice in buying from this company. On May 28th I ordered a Apox Motherboard 4G4a+. I verified stock by phone and ordered online. Z-Buy order confirmation to me stated order would be shipped in two days, would notify if no stock and would e-mail tracking no. As of April 3rd. 6:20pm I have not heard from Z-Buy at all. My MasterCard has been charged. I have sent FIVE e-mails asking for shipping information, all have been ignored, no response at all. I will contact my credit card bank and dispute the charge. Seems strange that Z-Buy does not list any phone numbers or even the address in their website site that I could find. The only way I could verify stock was to get the phone no. from another source. I really wonder if the company rating on ResellerRatings is accurate. H.Gallie"
"I ordered Maxtor 40GB harddrive. I got what I ordered and it works fine. I was not pleased with the delay in getting the drive. Z-buy said in the order acknowledgement that they would ship in 2 business days. I ordered on the 16th, it was shipped on the 23rd. I also am not pleased with UPS either as they had in town the next afternoon but didn't deliver it until the 29th."
"ABSOLUTE CRAP! I purchased a motherboard from them and recieved a DOA motherboard and it wasnt even the correct one. I requested an RMA number and they never replied back. Based on my experience with them I would never buy from them again and would strongly urge others not to also unless you like taking chances with your money."
"Worst Company I have ever dealed with. I orderd $350 of merchandise - 256mb PC2100 Micron RAM, 512mb PC2700 Samsung RAM, and a 120gb WD JB hd. The harddrive worked fine, but the Micron ram arrived with a pin burnt out, and the Samsung RAM couldn't even boot to Windows. I called to do an RMA, and I sent the RAM back, then they tell me that the RAM works and I will be charged $25. I am a PC Builder and this ram was OBVIOUSLY non functional, hell 1 pin was burned out. They refused to replace the ram, and send it back, as for the 512 stick they said that it worked althought it didn't and charged me 15% and gave me store credit, this is the WORST by far of any transaction I have ever made. I tell you all, GO TO ANOTHER COMPANY!!"
"Ordered memory and a hard drive. Shipment was very fast, and product were full OEM parts, no duds or substitutions. Very Happy and will do business again"
"Z-Buy.co ripped me off. They sold me a faulty motherboard and when I returned it via their return process, they refused to admit receiving the motherboard. I called twice and even gave them the name of the person who signed for the package from UPS. They still refused to admit receiving it and gave me a different story each time I called. They are crooks in my book."
"Ordered the 1.2 revision of the Epox 8k3a+ motherboard along with an athlon xp-1800+ processor. Prices were very good, and they arrived as promised in new packaging.
Would order from again...."
