"The product is beautiful, every board was perfectly without flaws. Mitchell had been the absolutely most helpful CSR!
Our some problem was with delivery, and the problem was serious. I had told the delivery people , who wanted to send a 48' delivery truck, that the trucker could drive our first road but could never make the turn ONTO the road, so please send as small a truck as possible. Because they sent a 48' anyway, the order (69 boxes at 38 lbs each) had to be offloaded by hand by my husband-- it wasn't the trucker's job. My husband is 65, has survived Stage 4 Cancer and a Quintuple Bypass. He and a helpful neighbor unloaded the 48' truck, reloaded half of it onto a pickup truck, drove it 7/10 mile to our home, of loaded it again, drove back, loaded the rest onto three pickup, drove to our home and off loaded it again. And then it all had top be lifted again to be staged.
Because I over ordered by more than the suggested 10-%, I'm road they'll take a whopping $50 offs the return fee.
I find this abominable.
Again, the product is excellent.
The problems caused by the trucking, and the exertion my husband, with the shore mentioned physical problems, was forced top make because my trucking request was not followed, could have cost my husband a heart attack or worse, resulting in a very considerable lawsuit."

"BuildDirect was willing to be flexible as my project was proceeding from estimating through material acquisition. Materials were delivered as promised and communications were good through the process. I was ordering stone tiles and the only issue was in securing the smallest load (about a quarter pallet) for truck shipping in that the load was not adequately secured resulting on the load shifting and stone tiles being damaged. 5% breakage is what they say is acceptable and for small orders you might want to factor that into your margin for cuts and damage."

"Unfortunately if I could give no stars I would but it wouldn't let me. We ordered over $2000 worth of porcelain wood grain tile from Build Direct. It was shipped to us late, and when it arrived we found our tile had been damaged. We were informed by our tile layer that the tile that was sent to us had sat out in heavy rain or was under extremely wet conditions for an extended period of time. Because of that, the tops of the tile had glue stuck all over them. By the time we found out from our tile layer he had already laid a significant amount of the tile. So not only were we unhappy with the way it looks we were stuck with it. We budgeted for and spent a lot of money on this tile and expected it to be top notch with all the research we put into this company. Our tile guy stated he thought he could get it off no problem which is why he began laying it down in the first place but he had a tough time getting it off and demonstrated that to me. We had to pay him extra labour and materials because of it. On top of that I was 5 months pregnant and have a 2 year old so the products he had to use were just added chemicals that I had to make sure were thoroughly cleaned off for my daughter's safety. It was on all the tiles as well not just a few and there was a ton of glue. It seems like a mistake like this should have been caught before the tile was sold to us. When I contacted the man my husband went through to buy the tile he got back to me very quickly which was nice, and told me to send pictures which I did. All he said was to use a certain chemical to get the glue off (like I said I am pregnant so this is not the best option for me; if my tile was just sent undamaged in the first place that would have been nice) and said he could reimburse us for the cost of the chemical. Wow. Just wow. No integrity. This company responds to its bad reviews to make it look as though they are customer service oriented but they don't actually do anything about it. Please just do your research and use a company that cares about it's customers and it's reputation. Don't buy from build direct!!!"

"We appreciated and used the opportunity to get free samples prior to ordering. Following receipt of the samples and making our decision we placed our order and within a day or two got confirmation of shipping with clear instructions on the entire process. Once we placed the order we were assigned someone from customer services as our advocate. We got one email, which we disregarded as all directions were clear--importantly we never heard again, which we appreciated as some vendors drive you nuts once they have your email address. Our floor tiles arrived in perfect shape and exactly like we were told would happen. The driver moved the tiles into our garage where we wanted them (so curbside delivery really seems to mean same level deliver and not we'll care the 29 boxes into your house). We could not be happier with the process and product so far. We will install the tile in about 3 weeks but we expect all to be as the first several boxes we opened."
