Do not order from this company!
"I ordered these "factory replacement speakers" (HA-SPK-PACKAGE128) for the rear deck of my 2001 BMW 740iL. The problems with this speaker set is:
1) They are two different sizes. There are four speakers (all the same size) in the rear deck. The 5.25" speakers "fit" in the sense that the speakers fit the hole. However the mounting holes do not line up. Obviously, the 6.5" speakers are too big to fit the hole.
2) I called and asked specifically if these speaker were designed to fit a different location in the vehicle, giving the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe they are supposed to be for the doors. This question was ignored both times I asked, as we worked through the other issues. After checking the doors, they do not fit the doors either.
3) The factory system is 2 ohm. These speakers are 4 ohm.
4) In there resolution to the matter, they wanted to offer a partial refund, if I was willing to modify my car. I countered with, DO NOT send me a partial refund, send me a shipping label so I can send the 6.5's back, and send me another set of 5.25's. Seemed like a win-win to me. They refused to send a shipping label stating that they will not pay for shipping back to them. Makes no sense to me.
Pay attention to their ratings before you order from this company, I wish I did, but I figured if they say they fit, they fit, WRONG!
Lastly if you still decide to order from this company, DO NOT order these if you have a 2001 E38, or BMW 740iL. THEY WILL NOT FIT!"
