"I ordered a 1/2 HP compressor with 2-day shipping via Controls Central's website late one evening. The next morning I received a call from a Controls Central CSR. She told me that they were going to ship the compressor next day -- at no extra charge -- because Controls Central had a warehouse so close to my location. Moreover, the CSR informed me that they were going to refund the extra shipping charge I paid for 2-day shipping. So basically, I got next day shipping for the price of regular shipping.
What impressed me was that Controls Central could have shipped the compressor next day and still charged me for 2-day shipping and I would have been more than satisfied. Instead they took the time to call me, explain the situation, and actually refund the extra shipping costs. To top it all off, Controls Central had the best price I could find for the compressor. I will definitely do business with this company again!"
"I ordered a 5 tine pitch fork from toolplanet.com on August 21, 2012. I immediately received a confirmation email stating that the item will be shipped the next business day.
After waiting two weeks without receiving the item or a shipping notice I contacted toolplanet via their website, but got no response. A week later I contacted them again via the website and still got no response. I then attempted to call, but instead of talking to a customer service representative I got a voice mail recording stating that they would call me back as soon as possible. Since I knew that warp drive technology will be invented before I ever got a call back, I didn't bother to leave a message.
After four weeks passed without receiving the item or any information regarding my order, I contacted PayPal to dispute the charge. Within a couple of hours I got a notice from PayPal that my payment had been refunded by toolplanet.com. The explanation provided by toolplanet was that they attempted to ship the item twice and both times FedEx broke it. How you can break a steel tined fork with a fiberglass handle – twice -- is beyond me, so I have my doubts. I then immediately checked toolplanet’s site to see if the fork was still available and it wasn’t. My suspicion is that they quit stocking the item after I ordered it, but didn’t bother notifying me or crediting me. (Until I got PayPal involved of course.)
I have to say this is the worst customer service I've ever received from any company with which I've ever placed an order from via the Internet. I give them one star for refunding my money, but that's not saying too much."
"I've made several purchases with Adorama and all have been pleasant. The only problem that occurred was with my most recent purchase. The item I ordered had free shipping, but when the order processed I got a receipt showing a charge for expedited shipping. I promptly sent Adorama an email asking them to remove the charge and then I went to bed (12:30 am). When I awoke the next morning I had an email from Adoroma customer service explaining that the shipping charge had been removed. That's what I call excellent customer service, and why I will continue to buy from Adorama."
"I've literally ordered dozens of times from Meritline.com. The items are cheap and the quality is usually better than one would expect for the price. I've only had problems twice with my item not arriving as expected. The first time it happened I contacted Meritline.com and they promptly shipped a replacement item. The second time it happened they credited me the amount of the purchase. You do have to be careful with some of the items available because they can be junk, but if you read the reviews on the site it's pretty easy to determine which are worth purchasing and which are not. Because of this I was a bit reluctant to order until I checked ResellerRatings.com and saw that they had a very good reputation. I ordered the item on a Friday and it arrived the next Tuesday. The item was packaged very well (too good if anything) and was exactly what I ordered. I will definitely shop with Outletpc.com again!"
"DrillSpot had the best price I could find on the net -- and free shipping was included. I ordered early afternoon on a Thursday and my order arrived the next day before noon!
One thing to consider, however, the package came from Grainger, so DrillSpot might be a "front company" for them. That doesn't bother me because of the awesome experience I had. I highly recommend DrillSpot and will not doubt purchase from them again."

"I purchased an HP ZR24w monitor from MacMall because they had the best price after rebate. I made the purchase via the Internet late on a Sunday night. On Tuesday I received an email stating that my item had shipped on Monday and would be arriving on Thursday. The monitor arrived on Thursday undamaged and working flawlessly so I did not have to contact MacMall's customer service. This was my first purchase with MacMall and I will not hesitate to make another purchase with them."
"Over a seven month period I submitted nine rebates to OnRebate. I can honestly say that I received all the money for every submission. In fact, I even received more than I was supposed to on one submission! I didn't have any problems following the online submission process and was always glad to see that OnRebate would send me an update email informing me of my submission status.
The only problem I encountered was when OnRebate sent me an email stating that a rebate was denied because I needed to send in a copy of the original invoice instead of a shipping invoice. I had sent in only the shipping invoice because I forgot to print out the reseller's invoice when I made the purchase. OnRebate allowed me the option to resubmit the paperwork and I found out that I could still get an invoice from the reseller. Ironically, OnRebate's resubmission form stated that either a copy of the original invoice or the shipping invoice could be used. Go figure. I resubmitted the paperwork--I kept copies of everything--and eventually received my check.
Did the rebates come fast? No, but in my experience few ever do. I'm still waiting to here from some of the rebate offers I submitted a couple months ago (not OnRebate). These places don't even have a website where I can conveniently track my submissions.
Oh, and by the way, the reason I received more money on one of the submissions was because I elected to go with OnRebate's 'fast' process to see how fast it really was. In order to get this fast processing, you have to give OnRebate 10% of the rebate. However, my check arrived with the full rebate amount (the 10% was not deducted)."
"Purchased a Thermaltake case at an incredible price after rebate. ClubIT's order process was straightforward and easy. My order was promptly processed and shipped in the time I expected. I was notified via email as needed during the process. No problems whatsoever and I WILL be placing orders with them in the future.
UPDATE: Well I did place additional orders with ClubIT.com. Everything went fine until the company entered bankruptcy. Now I am most likely out a $5 rebate check. Oh well, I guess that's the way it goes, but I doubt that I will ever order from this company again. Most likely they will go out of business soon anyway."
"After having bought many expensive attachments for 'Dremel type' electric tools over the years, I was happy to find WidgetSupply.com.
Their prices are VERY reasonable and the quality appears to be good as well. I haven't actually used their products yet because I just received my first order.
In regards to my order, it was promptly filled and shipped. I received exactly what I ordered, but was pleasantly surprised to find that WidgetSupply also included a free bag of various other attachments with my order.
These include various grinding bits, cut-off wheels, stones, and polishers. The number of free items I received is actually equal to the number of items I ordered.
I recommend WidgetSupply to anyone and I will be placing more orders with them in the future. My only complaint is that I wish I had known about them sooner!"
