"I've spent (very literally) thousands on components w/in the past few months, mostly at newegg and tigerdirect ... both frustrate me to no end w/ difficulties using my 'smart' phone on their 'stupid' servers (i.e. I have nearly twenty accounts at tigerdirect, and can't find records for hardly any orders)-;~
And, although newegg is better by far about records? They've destroyed a lot of great deals by making stup!d decisions regarding packaging/shipping.
Monoprice simply worked. It's well designed, w/ function and security as the primary concern ... know what you need, and they lead ya right to it. And, it was cheap. And, it got here fast. And, beautifully packaged for safe transit. And, my records are easily found if/ when I need 'em.
Proof that shopping need not lead to high blood pressure."
"Hey, folks ... just thought I'd throw in my two cents after seein' some negative comments on here, and to those that cry foul over a pricing error? Any company that makes an honest mistake has every moral and legal right to cancel the order(s), and for anyone to take away even a single star merely for NOT allowing consumers to take unfair advantage of an unfortunate error is shameful at best. It's no different than when somebody gives you too much in change, or the waitress fails to add your dinner to the check, or a clerk misses items on the bottom of the buggy -- you've gotta go back, 'n make things right.
Then again? Those that understand these most basic principles will surely ignore such unreasonable rants. So, I'm gonna try 'n type something folks might find useful/helpful, instead.
I, myself, am a very frugal shopper. And, I go to extremes, when it comes to finding the best value for my money. Ultimately, I purchased directly from them, even though I had found a very similar antenna for less money. Here's three good reasons as to why I'd do such a thing:
1. The antenna I chose had a lifetime warranty, and good reviews (when considering only those that were relevant to the product, and my application).
2. The website I chose, solidsignal.com, was well established as a safe place to shop, and offered up more than a fair deal on a really well made antenna (allowed my coupon on what was at the time a sale item, too ~;-)
3. Saving the best for last, as this was far more valuable to me than my money: They were absolutely honest with me about what I should expect, based upon the excellent advice of an extremely knowledgeable (and live) person, rather than the typical rhetoric many use to simply make the sale.
Further, let me add that I was so impressed by the poor lady that answered my call that I felt compelled to tell 'em so: Glendy was patient, and most tolerant of my too many questions. And, her primary objective was absolutely to help me in every way she could, and she really was actually happy to ... simply too rare in today's world (and why I can't imagine me shoppin' for any antenna anywhere else ~;-)
As for my purchase? It was a really good deal, as I caught it on sale, and had a coupon code. It was shipped very quickly, and they kept me updated via email ... very smoothly handled.
