"I purchased Nero 7 via download from Tekdealers website and was given an activation code. I have later learned the TekDealers puts one copy of a software product on their website and provides one and only one product activation code/serial number to all who buy their cheap software. When a person tries to register their software attempting to get support, they are told someone else has registered that software. One will find that whether they buy Nero 6.6, Nero 7, Easy Creator 7.5 or 8.0 or Partition Magic or a host of others, one product activation code per product will be issued to all. Tekdealers claims this keeps the costs down and that you are buying for full installation only, no registration or support. You are out of luck ever getting any support from the manufacture of the software.
TekDealers also claims to "always answer every complaint" from its customers. That is absolutely untrue. If they don't like a complaint or question, they will simply delete it or ignore it. Dozens of customers have been through this mill.
They also claim their software in not "pirated" and that an "original" activation code is issued for each software product. Well yeah. Buying a backup CDROM means they copied most of the software onto CD's that may work or arrive cracked due to poor packaging.
Before purchasing their software, TekDealers makes you agree that you will never attempt to return or get a refund and that THEY will provide this agreement to your credit card company when you ask for a chargeback. Notice too that they issued a computer encrypted, randomly generated order number to each customer such as TZjHxNem8T-VQYA0D6ED431. So BUYER BEWARE.

Interestingly, TekDealers accuses me--without presenting a shread of evidence--of installing one piece of software on two computers and calling it illegal. Exactly what does TekDealers think it is doing by selling the same activation code per software product to everyone who purchases their software. They are, in effect, complicant in the placing of the same package of licensed software on hundreds of machines."
"To those who would order any product from DigitalMegaStore, consider my experiences with their personnel, "Jim" and "Dave". I ordered a Sony RDR-HX900 DVD recorder on Jan 25. They applied a $19.85 charge for 3 day Fed Ex shipping and immediately charged my credit card.
On Jan 31st a call to "Dave" who stated he couldn't understand what happened with the order, but that he would ship it overnight Fed Ex. Confirming email sent to "Dave" about the phone call. No shipment received.
I called on Feb 3rd and talked to "Jim" who said the item had been out of stock and that he would refund the shipping charge and ship the order on Feb 6th if I would not cancel it. A confirming email was sent on what "Jim" had said and agreed to. The order did arrive on Feb 7th, but the shipping refund did not occur even after a third email was sent asking them to honor their agreement.
The bottom line is...is that DigitalMegaStore may have some good prices and some will probably get good service if the item is in stock, but I would never consider doing business with them again due to their outright dishonesty about stock, promises to ship in a timely manner, refund shipping charges and refusing to respond to emails regarding the order. Their method appears to be to promise you anything to keep that order going.
After this post hit, personnel from Digital MegaStore called me to offer to make things right. They agreed to refund the shipping charge which finally posted on 17 Feb on my credit card. A three year warranty on the product was also offered. They were also very apologetic about their service. I am now mildly satisified with the final results of this experience. These rating companies are so necessary."
