"I ordered a Canon Powershot SD550 and a spare battery for the camera from labellecameras.com on December 14, 2005 so that there would be plenty of time for it to arrive in time for Christmas. My wife was very specific that she wanted the silver model rather than the beige model. Labellecameras.com was one of the only places I could find online that actually advertised the silver model for a decent price, and I even called them before I placed my order to ensure that they would in fact ship the silver model. On Monday, December 19th, I called to find out if my order had shipped. The guy who answered explained that “the place was crazy” due to the holidays, and that I shouldn’t expect my order to ship out so fast. He didn’t offer to upgrade my shipping option for free even though he was obviously aware that his store was moving slowly on my order. He proceeded to try to sell me additional high-margin items like a memory card and a camera case, and that just insulted me further. At this point, it’s obvious that I won’t get my order in time for Christmas. Fast forward to Friday, December 23rd. I get an e-mail from the vendor asking me to call them at a non-toll-free phone number. I call, and the guy explains that my order still has not been shipped because no one ever got around to calling me to verify my shipping address. Once again, he proceeded to try to sell me additional high-margin items. They finally ship my order on December 27th – after Christmas. My order arrives on January 3, 2006, and much to my amazement, the camera is beige and the spare battery doesn’t even fit the camera. They managed to ship the wrong two items. I immediately sent them an e-mail explaining the situation, and demanding that they pay for shipping to return the order and credit my credit card for the full amount of the order including shipping. On January 4th, they send me a note saying that they’ll send me a UPS “call tag” so that I can ship the order back to them, and they won’t credit my account until they receive the items. The following week, I call them to find out where my “call tag” is, and they tell me that I’m not supposed to receive anything. They just put in a call to UPS to pick up the package. So finally, UPS picks up the package, and I get my money refunded on January 24th. I can’t believe how long this fiasco went on! Bottom line: The customer service was absolutely awful, they took WAY too long to ship my order, and they shipped the wrong items. That’s just bad. Then they took WAY too long to get my money back to me. They dropped the ball every step of the way. Needless to say, I am extremely dissatisfied with this retailer, and have no intentions of ever buying from them again. Buyer beware!"

"Beach Camera had one of the lowest prices I could find online for a Canon SD550 digital camera, and their free shpping option made it an even sweeter deal. I placed my order on Saturday, January 7, 2006, and got a confirmation along with a tracking number on Sunday, January 8th. That's fast! My order arrived on time, and in perfect condition. I've very satisfied with my experience, and would purchase from Beach Camera again."

"I placed my order for a Canon NB-3L digital camera battery and Canon PSC-50 camera case on Saturday, January 7, 2006, and they sent me a tracking number for my order the following day (on a Sunday!). That's the best response I've ever gotten from an online retailer. My order showed up on time, and everything works great. This is the second time I've done business with B&H, and I'd definitely do business with them again. This is a great online retailer!"

"After having a terrible experience trying to buy an espresso maker from a different online retailer, I called etailelectronics.com to verify that they actually had the model I wanted in stock. The woman who helped me was very nice, and indicated that they had one more in stock. So on December 21, 2005, I ordered a DeLonghi EC140B Espresso/Cappuccino Maker. I received an order confirmation e-mail very quickly, and my order was shipped out the same day. It was delivered on time with no problems. They didn’t have the absolute best price and their website could use some work, but the customer service that I got and the extremely fast shipping more than made up for it. I am very satisfied with this vendor and would do business with them again."

"Customer service at more4mymoney.com simply doesn’t exist. I placed an order for a Delonghi Retro Burr Grinder (DHDCG59) and Delonghi Espresso/Cappuccino Maker (DHEC140B) on December 5, 2005 so that there would be plenty of time for them to arrive in time for Christmas. My order was confirmed the same day, however the grinder wasn’t shipped until December 12th. I was notified that the grinder was shipped, and there was a comment that the espresso maker would be shipped “seperately in next day or two”. The espresso maker was never shipped. Beware any online retailer that doesn’t have a phone number anywhere on their website. I was forced to communicate with more4mymoney.com via e-mail through a form on their website. They did not respond to at least two e-mails – even after I threatened to dispute the charge with my credit card company. Finally, on December 22nd I disputed the charge with my credit card company, and sent more4mymoney.com a final e-mail indicating that I had done so. They finally responded with a note that they were refunding the cost of the espresso maker. However, they did not refund the cost of shipping. I have three big issues with this online retailer: 1) They sold an item that they obviously did not have in stock, 2) There is no way to contact a human in person, and 3) They charged me for the full amount of the order before actually shipping all of the items. At the very least, this vendor has some ethical issues. Needless to say, I am extremely dissatisfied with this retailer, and have no intentions of ever buying from them again. Buyer beware!"
