"I placed an order with them for a PC game. We received it several days later to find out that it was the French Version which was not stated on their site. Which is fine, it should still work. So we installed it, then it asked for the CD Key. However it said that the "CD Key was already in use". What? This is supposedly a brand new unopened game and the serial # was already used? I emailed them 3 times and have gotten no response. I also called and got a voicemail and they never returned my call. I feel cheated, my husband has been waiting a long time to play this and we can't even use it without a valid Serial #. My next step is to do a chargeback on my credit card, as this is useless without that Serial #. I will NEVER shop with them again, their customer service is slim to none."

"Fast shipping, but they said to me, "You will receive an additional email from us containing a tracking number after your order has actually shipped."
..Which is a bunch of bull, I never got anything. After several days I was going to email hoping to get some sort of tracking #, but I found the book in my mailbox today. I logged in to their site to view my order status and from day 1, it never said anything. Unreliable tracking, but fast shipment."

"I had previously been a very loyal customer of Newegg. That is until I bought a heatsink/fan about 3 months ago and just recently the fan died on it. I stuck a temporary fan on it so I could RMA the bad fan back to newegg and get a new one. However Newegg tells me I have to send them back the fan AND the heatsink. What good is a computer to me that has no heatsink on it?! I can't be without a computer for 2 weeks. So, I'm just going to have to leave that temporary fan on there permanently and live with the fact that Coolermasters fans have very short lives, and newegg's customer service is horribly unaccommodating.
Edit: The guys at Newegg have contacted me and are sending out a whole new unit. It's good to see how committed they are to keeping customers -- this almost soured me on them for good."

"Excellent prices, great selection, I'll definitely purchase from these guys again. Only problem is the shipping. Although it's free (yeah!), it is slow. I ordered on 3/1 and didn't receive until 3/17. I think the prices more than make up for it, though. Great place to get DVDs!"

"Well, I ordered a barebones system from econopc on March 1st. A couple days later I ran across this site and became very wary and thought about cancelling my account. However, I decided to stick it through. I'm very happy with the system, however I have a couple of complaints. 1) I ordered it on 3/1/02. I didn't receive it until 3/13/02. 2) $40 for shipping? According to ups.com it costs $8.17. 3) They never update their site....it is now the day after I received it, and their site still says my order is 'In Process'. 4. I tried for 2 days straight to get through to their customer service line...got nothing but either busy signals or 'Our customer service is currently closed, please try back...' blah blah blah. Bottom line: great prices, very horrid customer service."
