"Ordered four Duron CPUs, $23 apiece, and four "Duron" heatsink/fans, $8 apiece, to build some computers for family and friends over the holiday. Shipment arrived in reasonable time, CPUs work fine, but the HS/fans are small sinks, about what I'd use on a Pentium 133-150, and nowhere near enough to cool a Duron. They are the exact same type that I could buy for $3 apiece at the local Saturday Sale (but don't because they aren't up to the job). The first sytem I finished ran for about two minutes before locking up, with CPU temp after reboot over 150 degrees. I sent an e-mail to them about these, to which they never responded. I've ordered several CPUs from them and so far they've all worked fine, but I think after this, if I can order what I need somewhere else, I will--Star Micro will be somewhat lower on my priority list."

"Looks like my experiences are about the same as everyone else's. Placed two recent orders, once for a friend and one for myself. Prices are great, items were in stock, shipping very prompt. Absolutely no complaints. I've bought from them two or three other times over the past year or so, same results. Great seller and they'll keep getting business from me."

"I needed some oddball parts for a couple projects. I ordered four 99-cent 16mb sticks of EDO and a Pentium Pro 150 CPU. Since the SIMMs were sold by unit (not by pair) and at a bargain-basement price, I figured they were probably mismatched singles--no problem because the projects involved some 486s. This proved correct. No complaints at all--items were delivered quickly, well-packaged, and shipping was pretty reasonable, especially considering the order's value was probably less than what it cost them to fill and send it. They don't have stuff that I need on a regular basis, but I'll try to send them some more business when the opportunity comes along."

"Ordered four Maxtor hard drives, two 30gb and two 10gb. Delivered quickly, well-packaged and all work fine. I've ordered from upgrade-solution.com a couple times before with same results. So far, no problems with these guys. Drives have mostly been non-branded OEMs but they don't cost as much as branded drives either, it's a trade-off and so far I've had good luck with both the seller and the products. They'll keep getting business from me."
