"First order from Uncle Vic, for a screaming deal on a Vizio soundbar. Site is organized well enough, and I enjoy the folksy touches that extend even to the automated ordering system. Had a problem with a missing remote on my order and a rep promised to ship it out ASAP. Good experience, absolutely would buy from this vendor again. Just wanted to follow up; indeed I got the remote a few days after the soundbar, and even the shipping method they had opted for was premium and quicker. Seems like a little touch - but now I absolutely guarantee I'll be back. Couldn't possibly recommend Uncle Vic's more based on this purchase."

"I looked around on the net for pricing on a Dell PERC 5/i RAID controller and some accessories, and after awhile found epartsandmore.com . They seemed to have everything I needed for the order and so I ordered. I got an initial email confirmation and then...nothing. I made my first inquiry to customer service later, but no reply. Checking the status of my order over the next week showed only 'Processing'. On the morning of Sept 18 I checked my bank balance and I had been credited back what I had paid for the parts. epartsandmore.com never bothered to notify me once of any step in the process including the cancellation. My second request for information from customer service has also gone unanswered, and I am forced to conclude epartsandmore.com doesn't want my business...or anyone's. Rebuttal to below: This 'fraud prevention' isn't required by any other retailer I deal with. This is also not a policy disclosed anywhere obvious that I saw during the order process, and I do my level best to read things carefully so I'm not surprised. I spend all day on the phone and am unable to take personal calls during that time. That's why i freaking ordered via email instead of calling it in. Finally, other than the automated emails, I never received a single email that was mentioned. Gmail's spam filter is extraordinarily good, but just to make sure I went through 500+ spam messages dating back to just before the order. Nothing. Blatant untruth."

"It's true what they say, that people are more prompt to write a bad review than a good one. So I'd like to post a good one for a company that I am new to, but has my business for future purchases. Bought a CIJ Fender Mustang Bass, 1964 reissue. Price was equitable to other vendors, shipping was VERY fast (made other orders in the last few days and almost everything was delivered early!) and their ordering system works well and is fast to update the customer on order status. Only downside I could find was no way to actually save a profile on their site. I have to enter in my info manually to make every purchase. Overall, very happy."

"This is the last time I will be purchasing from Musician's Friend. I ordered a tweed bass case and paid. I received a cheap, plastic guitar case that does not fit any instruments I own. I made sure to order in plenty of time for a gig I went to and I wanted to make sure my bass was protected. Because of Musician's Friend's incompetence, my lovely Fender '54 reissue P-Bass was protected by a flimsy gig bag instead. This is the second time they have shipped the complete wrong item. (ordered a Dean AEB gig bag and received a cheap keyboard bag) I will buy ANYWHERE other than this establishment in the future, and I will tell my story to every musician I gig with and meet. UPDATE: Their offered resolution was Next Day Air upon receipt of a tracking number. I provided it. On May 22nd, the tracking number was updated by UPS, which indicates that by Musician's Friends own promise I'd have my case in hand no later than the 23rd. Instead, they now say they missed the cutoff and because of Memorial Day Weekend I'll not have my case till the 27th. I am aghast at what this retailer considers customer service to be. They would not upgrade me to Saturday delivery even though they were late shipping out my correct item. Do not EVER risk your money here if you love music. Update 2: They had the audacity to send me an invoice for the tweed bass case, telling me I owed them money for it. I informed them straightaway that I owed them nothing and would be throwing the invoice directly in the trash. Since then I've heard nothing more from them."

"I have never ordered from SVC before, but they have been recommended to me by several other folks in the past. The selection of parts is amazing and them being local to my home in San Jose is clutch. The one minor complaint that I have is that an item was dropshipped from a vendor without notifying me, so I did not receive it with the rest of my order and panicked a bit. I received excellent customer service from Andrew, including a separate tracking number for my HSPC Tech Station. I would definitely purchase from this vendor again."

"*** WARNING: DO NOT BUY FROM THIS RETAILER *** Worst online purchase experience of my life. I ordered a laptop described as a 'manufacturer refurbished' HP and paid for the upgraded shipping so that I could get my brother a laptop before he left the country. This was followed by two days of no contact from Compuvest whereupon I purchased a laptop locally to make sure my brother would have one. Subsequently, I emailed Compuvest a cancellation notice and then received a shipping notification later that day - ETA being one day too late for my brother. I emailed Mark and asked him what had happened and let him know I would bounce the laptop right back. He informed me I was liable for a restocking fee, which I refused. After flailing around for awhile, I got his manager Frayne who said he'd give me a small credit ($50) on the laptop if I kept it, so I decided to. THE WRONG LAPTOP ARRIVED! Half the ram as promised and no DVDRW! The 'manufacturer refurbished' laptop had an obviously pre-used copy of XP, bad scratches on the LCD and a cheap third-party charger. I had to fight with them AGAIN over the space of two days before I got them to send out a return label, and the only reason I got a full refund is because I disputed the charge with my card company! DO NOT RISK YOUR MONEY AT COMPUVEST! When I told Frayne I would leave a review on vendor rating sites, he laughed at me and told me to go ahead."
