"I ordered a $60 thermostat from them instead of Amazon to try to support an actual business instead of a mega-corp that doesn't need my money. Well, after 2 weeks I contacted them asking if this would ever ship. No response. After my 4th ignored attempt to contact them I said I would like to cancel the order. I FINALLY got a reply saying that their supplier was running very slowly and it would be another 2-3 weeks before I would receive my order and to cancel it they would charge a 20% restocking fee for an item THEY DON'T HAVE!!!! I told them if they charge me $11 for nothing I will NEVER do business with them again. They contacted me 2 more times in an attempt to get me to wait another month for something I could get on amazon in 3 days. I told them to cancel it...they kept $11 for my troubles. Now I know. I will never be scammed by these crooks again!
As an FYI, this is what my account says for the item:
REFUNDED OR VOIDED AS REQUESTED, WE ARE EXPERIENCING MANUFACTURER SUPPLY ISSUES, OR THE PRODUCT IS DISCONTINUED. SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE.
Does that seem like a valid reason to keep a "restocking fee"....restocking fee means you have the item and you now have to put it back on the shelf. They clearly didn't get the item!!!"
