"First experience building closets, so I did a lot of research online since this is a pretty expensive proposition. We were doing our two small walk-in closets in our master bedroom and what sold me about this company was their excellent online planning tool. It's by far the best online tool of all the vendors I looked at. You just need to get and enter accurate dimensions of your closet and then you can start designing your closet. Very intuitive tool (even my wife could use it after 5 mins) and easy to use. It really helps give you a very good idea of what your closet will look like and more importantly it allows you to play with the design so you can find the best configuration.
One thing though, I recommend you call the company after you think you have the design you want. It's good to have a human go over the design to make sure there are no problems that the software model doesn't know about. We did this and the helpful customer service representative pointed out a couple of flaws with our design and provided good suggestions on some fixes. The good thing is that the rep also has access to the same online tool so he can easily show you what designs/changes he makes and vice versa.
Shipping was prompt and the instructions were clear. We were very happy with the quality of the closet. Took us about 2 days total to assemble both closets...lot more work than we were expecting. A couple of the pieces were damaged during shipping, but a quick call to the company and a new part was at my door in a couple of days with no hassle.
Really good experience overall with the company. I would recommend them for the do-it-yourselfers who don't mind assembling things on their own."

"Ordered 2 Sony video cameras for my wedding. Was worried about shipping on time, but the items arrived within the timeframes they quoted.
One of the cameras I bought was described as being an "open-box" item. I bought it and it was indeed a return/used camera. However, it came with all accessories and was in like-new condition."

"Ordered a humidifier from them. Shipping was a little slow, but I got the item I was expecting. No issues with the ordering process or product itself.
Couple of negatives is that they aggressively send e-mail advertisements almost daily. I've gotten annoyed enough to opt-out today...hopefully they respect the request. They also charge some type of "order/handling fee" which is a bit unusual. They do state it before you checkout, but it does add to th cost of the item and it's a little misleading to hit you with it at the end."

"Ordered a video card, case, and PSU from them. The case and PSU shipped and arrived very quickly, but they sent me an e-mail saying the video card was out of stock. Their website does not have a good indication of the availability of the item.
I eventually received my video card about 15 days after my order.
Overall, a pretty good experience with them, but they could do better on notifying customers of availability of an item. Also, their website does not allow order status checking...a bit unusual in this day and age for a computer parts store."

"I ordered some PC parts from them from their advertised specials section. All of the items shipped and arrived in 2 days except for a CPU+motherboard combo. I selected standard delivery and it arrived in 2 days which has always been my experience with them. I've ordered from them many times in the past and they are very consistent with shipping.
I got a notice about a day after my order that the CPU+motherboard were out of stock and would not ship. Eventually it took more than 20 days for the items to ship out, but I didn't really mind since I was in no hurry to get it.
A good experience overall as is usual for me with Outpost."

"Ordered 4 RAZR's on a T-Mobile family that they were advertising. The phones were only $50/each out of pocket and the rebate was from T-Mobile so I figured it was worth the risk. I was a bit wary given their poor ratings, but everything worked out for me in the end.
I had a slightly complicated order as I was transferring 3 lines, and adding 1 new one. I ordered over the phone and the customer service rep was outstanding. They made everything clear and even read me the potential charges for breaking the contract up front. They didn't try to hide any fees or pull anything shady.
I received my order of 4 phones plus 4 free wireless bluetooth headsets in about 5 days after I ordered. Everything looked to be in order, phones were new, all the headsets were there, etc. In terms of the product they delivered, everything was as advertised.
I've since gotten confirmation from T-Mobile that all 4 of my rebates have been accepted and valid.
Reading some of the negative reviews, I'm not sure why they can't handle all of their orders like they did with mine...perhaps the fact that I did not have a rebate from them (mine was from T-Mobile) made the difference since they seem to like cheating people out of rebates. In any case, I'm very happy with my specific purchase with them."
