Mark, Shipping is one thing we tend to hear about over and over since UPS switched how they calculate costs. Our site is integrated with them, so the cost it shows is what is paid, having said that I did double check the cost. $34.78 for ground shipping was accurate. I know the 48" long Hanging dowel kit, is probably the reason. Please know you can always call our office to check the cost and you're welcome to ship on your own UPS# should you have one. We hope these Hanging Dowel kits work well for you. Thanks for the order and the review.
