"Upon purchase of some new domains, I un-ticked (DID NOT TICK) the box allowing them to SAVE nor EVER use my NEW Credit card for renewals or other payments.
Unfortunately, 101domains used my card to renew a .MY domain that I we did not want them to renew (planned to delete) and obviously without my authorization charged my NEW credit card USD180!!! .
101domain's support desk's response is continually "read our policies", rather than own up to their payment system's mistake and frankly fraudulent unauthorized use of my credit card to pay for a domain renewal that was not wanted... so they claim their system error is actually my problem and seem to think they are somehow in the right!
i.e. they have refused to refund the unauthorized charge against my credit card (for an auto renewal order and not one I placed) using a credit card they had no authorization to use.
Now they have threatened me that if I request my bank to reverse the fraudulent charge 101domains system made, then they will hijack my domain account and all my domains, until I pay them for their fraudulent charge.
Absolutely - very poor customer service and a SCAM!!!
STRONG WARNING - 100% STAY AWAY AND DO NOT USE 101domains, unless you think it is acceptable to be cheated & find it an acceptable company policy for 101domains to over-ride their payment page boxes that DO NOT give them authorization to save or use your credit card! I.E. find it acceptable for 101domains to make unauthorized charges against your credit card at any time they feel like it and threaten to hijack your domains if you try to do anything about that!
