I did.. they claim they sent a card in the box that the warrantee is through a different company. number one.. I was lead to believe the warrantee was through minolta. I did not receive any other warrantee card. they charged me on the invoice. they say it is too late I should have complained sooner. I did not know sooner. I just found out that Minolta did not show I had purchased an extended warrantee. I have the invoice. I am new at this... I have been burned ... I not only dont have the five year extended warrantee I paid for. They will not refund the money they charged for it. If there had of been a card in the box I would have sent it in when I got it. I did not know the card was missing until I sent the camera to Minolta for repairs. The camera is wonderful... it just needs to be fixed... the problem with this retailer is not wonderful."

"Looking for a new Canon G3 I discovered that 17th Street Photo had the best walk in price for the NYC area. I had a little trouble finding the store since there were n signs outside of the building. Once inside it was easy to find, and that's when I was very pleasantly surprised. I was helped immediately. The salesman seemed to know everything about the G3, had a brand new pulled from stock (2 minute wait) and asked if I needed accessories, extended warentees, etc. When I stated I had no interest, no more was mentioned on the subject. "These guys are very professional and genuine. I placed an order for a Canon G3 digital camera from outside the US, but there was no problem in processing my order. There was no attempt to sell me anything else other than what I ordered, and it WAS in stock. The only point that lets them down is that the online order tracking is not updated often enough (or at all?) - I had to phone them 5 days after placing the order to ask why their on line system still showed it as "in Process". I was told that the order had in fact been shipped 2 days earlier and was given the fed-ex tracking ref. there and then. The camera arrived safely, was unopened and had a US warranty."
