"Received flowers on Feb 15th, not Feb 14th which I had to pay extra for. Flowers were frozen when recieved. Gift card enclosed was for someone else, not my wife. Have been trying to contact them on their "Customer Service" number 1-***-***-**** option 4 (customer service), but recieved busy signal for the last 2 days. Now they have removed option 4 as a selection when this number is called. Called the placement order line but they would only refer me to the 1-***-***-****. So now the only access is via e-mail which I do not have much faith in being answered. I have used PROFLOWERS.COM in the past with NO PROBLMS. I tried 1-800-Flowers only because they were offering a discount through my employer. From this experience I would recommend that everyone STAY AWAY FROM 1-800-FLOWERS !!!!
Feb 17th, finally got through using option 2 at 1-***-***-****. Was issued full refund. Waiting for it to show up on my account."
"I ordered the Lotsa Love package to be delivered on Valentine's Day. It was confirmed to be in stock with delivery available by Valentine's day. The order process also asked for a telephone number so they could reach me if there were any problems delivering the order.
By the end of delivery hours on Valentine's day, the package had not arrived, nor had I received a call. I called their customer service department... waited on hold for 32 minutes... and then spoke to a very curteous lady who told me that they found out the item was out of stock late in the afternoon and an error in their system had resulted in my not being notified of the problem.
Since the item was no longer available, they arranged for a substitute of similar items and promised that it would be delivered early the next day. By the end of the day it had not been delivered nor had I received a telephone call, AGAIN.
Their automated system terminated my call 9 times before I was able to speak to a representative (after a 16 minute hold). Again, the rep was very friendly and said all the right things... but after the company's complete failure to deliver on their promises TWICE, I have little faith that the refund will be processed as promised.
On the good side, both reps were very good when I finally reached them. The second rep gave me a number for their "priority unit" so I can skip the main line if there are any more problems.
On the bad side, they failed to deliver twice. They failed to notify me both times. Wait times were excessive and their system ended the call without giving me an option to wait several times.
I have used this service many times in the past as I travel a lot and routinely need to make floral arrangements from hotel rooms across the country - the convenience of being able to go to one place every time and do business made the higher price worth it. However, after this experience I will no longer be doing business with this company."
"My huband ordered flowers for me for Valentines Day to surprise me. Needless to say, the surprise was ruined because he flowers were never delivered. The flowers have still not been delivered and it doesn't seem that they are going to be at all. We tried calling, but we could never get through to anyone; the line would just hang up on us. I called someone in the sales dept. I was told there was nothing they could do and to call back to customer service. After getting frustrated I called back again to the sales department (since they are the only ones that actually answer the phone). He just told me the same thing, to just call back to customer service. I said we can't get through to customer service. He was very, very rude to me. After going back & forth with the sales rep he became frustrated and told me that their company is understaffed in customer service & that I just have to deal with it. Then I told him that isn't acceptable. Then he told me that the company is not willing to pay to hire enough customer service people, that the company uses it's resources where they feel it's more beneficial...the sales department! He said it's because that is where they get the most calls. I told him I thought that was a bad way to do business because customers can't even get through to customer service...that maybe they should invest some more money into hiring more customer service people. He then told me that the company has told their employee's that it's too costly to spend their money on customer service; that they feel their money is better spent on new customers, thus they hire more sales people to take the incoming sales calls. He told me that out of 6 million orders they maybe drop the ball on about 1%, so they are willing to take that chance and lose business on the 1%. Then he told me that their lack of customer service representatives is basically my problem, not theirs. I asked him if their company understands the meaning of repeat business at all! He said that they get plenty of repeat business off of the 6 million orders that they didn't mess up. Then he told me that my flowers were probably delivered and my company probably lost the package. I was shocked! I told him that my company isn't so disorganized, like their's is! I told him that their company clearly doesn't know the first thing about customer service.
I think that this company is a scam!"
"Well there are two ways to look at this: on the one hand, my order (which was supposed to arrive on Valentine's Day), didn't arrive until a day later, and the roses were wilted and dying (probably from getting stuck in a snowstorm during shipment). On the other hand, when I called customer support, they immeadiately agreed to resend the flowers, and when my original choice wasn't immeadiately available, they upgraded me, giving me an extra $20 worth of value for my trouble. The customer service rep that I spoke to was a little strange, but very kind and helpful, and really helped to set things right. I DID have to wait 20-30 minutes on hold, but I'm willing to wait MUCH longer than that for a satisfying customer service experience. All in all, I'd recommend 1800Flowers.com to anyone, anytime for any occasion."
"Worst experience ever. I ordered the Lotsa Love package to be sent to my girlfriend for Valentines Day. I kept calling her at work, hoping to hear her happy with surprise. This never happened. I tried calling all day yesterday and today to ask about the problem, but their phone seem to be broken. I keep getting hung up on. If you receive a Sales Rep, they will just tell you to call the non-working number. They even admit they have been having problems with the phones, and rudely just hang up. I mean if you dont deliver. That's one thing. If your sales rep are rude and treat you like trash. Thats so much WORSE. NEVER DO BUSINESS HERE."
"This was my second order with 1800flowers. The first was last month and it was not bad. So I thought I go ahead and place another order for Valentine's Day. I am still waiting on the delivery. I know there was a little snow yesterday but they tell you it will be delivered by a local florist. So I don't see what the problem could be, since everyone else got their delivery easily. I am extremely disappointed. I paid a Valentine's fee for delivery. I am having the same problems getting in contact with 1800flowers. I feel bad for all of us. But worst for 1800flowers. Cause they just lost a customer!"
"Worse experience, Never delivered my flowers on Valentines day, thay blaim the weather and flowers shortage, when here in GA we had great weather and all stores were full of flowers, I just wanted my wife to have someone delivering them to her..never mind 1 800 flowers, they won't answer phone calss, they have an automated machine that will just say they are congested and will hang on you...BUT if you need to place an new order...That number works Fineeee!!!
DON'T BUY FROM THESE GUYS"
"I had deleted the email, and 800 Flowers system is so messed up they have lost the order information. They also lost the change to my email address that I made last night. I ordered 3 Valentine's gifts a week before Valentine's Day.
I got a call today (Valentine's day) at 1:05 p.m. from someone at 800 Flowers saying that my flowers could not be delivered. The reason? Two cities (Montreal, QC and Santa Rosa, CA) are "out of flowers." (They did deliver one of my orders.)
When I asked what could be done, indicating that the flowers were going to loved ones who I had expected to receive gifts, I was told NOTHING. They and I were simply out of luck. When I asked when the gifts could be delivered, I was told they could not be delivered for a week, and that the entire system was out of flowers.
I will never buy from 800 Flowers again, and recommend that no one shops with them. They have always been on the fringe of quality (poor quality, spindly flowers), but this is beyond the bounds.
One of the gifts was for my 74-year old mother, and the other was for a dear loved one in the freezing cold of Montreal. If I had known a few days ago I could have made other arrangements.
BTW, I was not offered ANYTHING by 800 Flowers.
Terri Reece"
"Don't buy anything at this store.
Otherwise you will be disappointed so much

"I had two separate orders from this company for Valentine's Day and neither order was delivered. This pretty much confirms the experiences others appear to have had. I've tried to call customer service (a term used loosely here) many times and the best I get is transfered to an automated message that tells me they are too busy to take my call and promptly hangs up on me.
Of course, they did manage to find the time to charge my card. And, of course, I will be disputing those charges since they failed to deliver.
Based on the automated message I received from customer service following my order, the Director of Customer Service is Julie L. Kaufman - who, in my opinion, should be fired for providing what in my experience has been the worst online customer experience ever.
Hopefully this review will be a warning to others of the type of service they provide.

"STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!
I ordered the "Love's First Bloom" bouquet for Valentine's Day for my girlfriend but when it finally arrived today, it was a completely different bouquet. The flowers looked half dead. Even the vase is different. There were not supposed to be any baby breaths or ferns in the bouquet but it came with them.
I mean they have almost a full month to get this bouquet right. If there was a problem, then there would be plenty of time to at least contact me and let me know they couldn't get the bouquet from local florists. These people screwed up my valentine's day and I will never order anything from them again.
I mean they wanted to give me a 20% credit for a $100 bouquet when the flowers look like they were bought from Wal-Mart for $10. Give me a break.
Anyways, I'd get the number for a local florist and you'd be better off asking them to put together something nice and pay 1/2 the price."
"This is the second year in a row that my wife did not receive her Valentines day roses from 1-800-flowers! I tried them one more time, after last year, because they sent me a discount coupon as consolation for failing to deliver anything. This year they did it again. This is unbelievable! I have been trying to call their customer service for the past hour. They actually say "due to heavy call volume we must unfortunately end this call" Then they hang up! Their customer service actually hangs up on customers.
(Follow up 2/16) I tried to call 1800 Flowers several times on Feb 15th to no avail. They continually hung-up on me when calling to get a status on my order. Their website was not being updated either. The site still said my order was simply "received". I tried to be tricky when calling and instead of choosing the option to get an order status I chose the option to place an order. Guess what...they didn hang up on me. They did however make me wait for about 20 minutes, at which time I finally hung up.
Then, without warning on February 16th, my wife called me to tell me that 1 dozen roses were delivered to her office! I have yet to receive either an email, phone call, or regular mail version of an apology or even an acknowledgement of 1800 Flowers pitiful and insulting business practices. This was the last time I will ever consider them. "
"I'm completely dissatisfied with their customer service as well. I ordered flowers for valentines day for my girlfriend, and seeing as how their was a snowstorm approaching it would have been wise on their part to not send them from Kentucky (they were going to connecticut). Anyway, the flowers did not come in time and it was impossible to reach customer service, UPS was much more helpful, but 1800-flowers said that there was a large call volume and they couldn't answer any calls...i dont care about waiting on hold, how could they not be able to answer the calls."
"i order online 12 roses for my wife, and it did not get deliver on feb 14 as promised. as their website offer delivery same date as promised. well, i contact the customer service, and never get answer. i was on hold for 45 minute. then i email the customer service.
this is what they said:
"Thank you for your inquiry.
I would like to inform you that we are not able to get the tracking information from shipper as they are lagging behind in updating the tracking information as they are busy in shipping the orders. If you are not still satisfied, please contact oue customer care in the below number.

"I purchased "3 Days of Love" for my fiance and she received 2 days. It was 3 gifts supposed to be delivered on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. She received her first gift correct, then she received the last 2 gifts on Tuesday. I asked customer service what happens now? He said, "she gets to enjoy her 3 gifts?". Where do they find these people."
