"I ordered flowers from 1 800 Flowers for Mother's Day on Monday 5/7/07 with delivery on 5/11/07. I was billed 5/9/07. I just found out 6/5/07 from my Mother she never received flowers. When I called Customer Service they told me it was UPS' fault and that they would either give me a full refund or re-send. If I would not have found out from my Mother they would have had my money and not delivered the flowers. Very rude personnel and very horrible service - NEVER use 1 800 Flowers.com"
"I purchased the Moonshadow Carnations (Item #1479) and paid to have them delivered on the 11th, the next day. Problem is, they were not delivered. I tried calling 1800 flower's customer service line, but could not get through to customer service. The flowers then arrived Monday, a day after Mother's Day. So I called customer service and quickly got a customer service rep. She told me that I could receive a maximum of 20% credit back. At the time, I was pretty angry, so I asked for a full refund back, but she said she couldn't do anything. So I just let the issue go without receiving the credit back and I told the rep. that I would not be shopping with them again. However, it doesn't end there.
I went home this past weekend for Memorial Day and found that my mom had not even received the correct flowers. So I called customer service again, and was fortunately able to talk to a very understanding person. He was extremely polite. He offered the same 20% credit back, but this time when I refused it, he said that he would figure out if he could give me a full refund. He promised me to check with the florist as to what had happened, offered me a truly sincere apology, and told me 1800 flowers would give me a call back the next day. At about 9:30 am the next morning, I received a call, and the rep. told me that I would be receiving a full refund. Overall, it wasn't a great experience since the flowers arrived late and not only that, they were the wrong flowers. However, they were very prompt in finding out what had happened and I feel like the service rep. I talked to was truly concerned about my situation. Next time, I will most likely try out another website for flowers. But it is good to know that some of the people working at their customer service do care about their customers."
"On May 8th 2007, I ordered flowers for My Mother from 1800Flowers. They were supposed to be delivered the next day (May 9th, 2007), well in time for Mother's Day which was May 13, 2007. On May 16th, I got as call from my Mom. SHE NEVER RECEIVED THE FLOWERS!!!!
I contacted 1800Flowers that night. After arguing with them for several minutes, a Supervisor finally cam on and promised TO DELIVER THE FLOWERS AND GIVE A FULL REFUND.
I never received notification of the delivery, and I never saw my bank account credited anything. I called my Mother to find out that they finally were delivered on Saturday (TEN DAYS LATE, AND SIX DAYS PAST MOTHERS DAY).
I called 1800Flowers today (MAY 22nd) to find out what happened to my refund, as was told that they never refund the whole amount if the flowers are eventually delivered. They claimed that they had nothing in the notes about it.
I demanded to speak to a supervisor, and when I told him that I would tell everyone I know how I was treated, I was told to do whatever I had to do.
So, I am here to tell people not to do business with this company. THEY LIED TO ME. They ruined my Mother's Mothers Day. They are not to be trusted, and I am telling everyone not to do business with them, unless they find such treatment acceptable."
"1-800-flowers screwed us over for 2 MAJOR special occasions. Here's how:
09-2006 = 1st wedding ANNIVERSARY. My husband ordered white roses. What arrived was "mixed colors" roses. Didn't mind the colors so much... I did mind that they arrived fully bloomed & died the next day. We complained and they said they were going to credit 50% back to his acct + $39 in gift cert (another 50%) AND they will send the right order the next day. After numerous emails, what arrived was ONLY gift cert - and they denied ever having offered us the others (even though I had proof on email, they would not budge).
02-2007 VALENTINE's. with the $39 GC, it forced us to purchase from them again. My husband ordered a bunch "multicolored" tulips (supposedly 30), thinking they wouldn't die so fast (after the $39 GC + 15% cpn, still had to pay tax + ridiculous shipping cost). What did I get? 9 purple tulips; 8-9 orange tulips; and ONE (yes, ONE!!!) white tulips! WTF? Furthermore, the tulips arrived wilted, stems bent all over, petals falling off, etc (I took pictures to prove this).
Their replies were 1st couldn't locate the order eventhough I gave them the necessary info along w/ an apology with no offers to fix it. I AM DONE w/ THEM and making sure everyone I know are informed about this!"
"This store is HORRIBLE. I ordered a plant for my mother for Mother's Day. Guess what -- it is now Wednesday and STILL, she has not received anything! I have spent no fewer that 2 hours on the phone with them. They offered me 20% off on Monday, and assured me that they would deliver on Monday. That didn't happen, so I called back. The person that I spoke to told me that 20% off was the most she could offer me. I asked who could do more, and she said "no one". I called corporate ***-***-**** and asked to speak to Jim McCann, the CEO. I was transferred to a unit where they were supposed to do something to help me. Here it is, another 24 hours has passed, no delivery and no resolution. I HATE this company and recommend that you go ANYWHERE else.
Finally, on Thursday, 1800 Flowers did deliver a plant and credited my account fully. However, the overall experience was awful and I would NEVER order from them again."
"I have used your service in the past but will never again. Not only was the delivery not made to my Mother on Sunday it was not made the following day either. No one proactively called me to say there was an order problem I had to call myself. The customer service rep was terrible and the call quality was awful. I was not given an immediate order cancellation number and was told I would get a credit in "a few days." Not only that but absolutely nothing was done to even attempt to apologize or provide some type of compensation. Worst of all it ruined my Mother's Day present to my Mom. regarding your service I can find. They've lost a customer for life. I would expect this type ofoperation in the Third World."
"I ordered flowers on 5/9 for delivery on 5/11 for my sisters birthday. We just lost both our parents so I wanted to make sure she received something for her birthday. The flowers were not delivered and nothing was sent to me. I called and they had no excuse for why they weren't delivered. They did credit my credit card but that does not make up for my sister not receiving anything on her birthday."
"After I finally reached 3 different people at the company, they figured out that the order had been delivered to the wrong address, not the address I gave them.
They replaced the product, one day late. And then they replaced it again, the next day."
"Through an email mailing, they advertised free Mother's Day shipping for delivery on 5/6-8. The promo code would not work for an online order. I called-in the order and the order taker said the promo code would be accepted, after talking to her manager. I even had her confirm the amount, which did not have shipping charges.
*I later received an invoice with shipping charges. When I called-in, the customer service rep admitted they had a lot of issues with the electronic mailing, but could not do anything. I asked for a manager. He said he could not reverse the shipping charges either. I asked him to reverse the shipping charges or I would have no other alternative but to dispute the charge amount. After that, he said he could not talk anymore.
Additionally, their people have issues with spelling and grammar."
"I've ordered from here multiple times and each time it was delivered on the day i set. I would use them again."
"I ordered the flowers on 4/16 for delivery on 4/17. On 4/17 I was told there was a probelm and that the flowers would be delivered on 4/18. On 4/18 I was assured that the flowers would be delivered on 4/19. The flowers have not been delivered. Now they are saying the flowers will be delievered on the 20th - I cancelled the order and demanded my mmoney back and vowed never to use 1800 flowers again. "
"I wish I had used this site before I ordered the flowers for my wifes Birthday. They use UPS and othe rcarriers to ship flowers. The flowers did not arrive on my wifes birthday nor the next day as the reps have said I tried to use the fully satisified customer that is on the web site and was told by a supervisor Anna Davis that it is not 1800flowers.com fault that UPS did not deliver. I will never use 1800flowers again "
"I ordered flowers that came completely wrong. The Customer Service Department kept me on hold for an hour before allowing me to speak with a manager and a manager actually yelled at me. "
"Flowers were not delivered on date requested and I did not find out until 2 days later. customer service reps were rude and offered no more than 20% off a future order. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told the customer service rep had no boss!
Update: 3/7/07 - Surprise, Surprise - After all my complaints, 1 800 Flowers did send flowers to my daughter in law free of charge. They also called her to apologize and put an apology card on the flowers. !!!"
"I was very happy with the service I got from 1-800 flowers. The flowers arrived on the 13th and they were fresh (still looking good today on the 23rd). Best of all, my wife really liked them.
I know a lot of people posting here have not had good service, but mine was excellent."
