Extremely positive experience

"I have ordered items on 2 separate occasions. Both shipments were accurate and received very quickly. One of the 2 lamps I ordered had a small chip in the base and the glass bulb at the top came unglued. When I called, I was assisted very pleasantly, courteously, and was shipped a replacement without hesitation. Their prices meet or beat all others, and their service is top notch. I highly recommend doing business with them, you will not be disappointed. "

They sent the wrong lights BB-7T

"I ordered 60W and 30W arrived. I didn't know that and installed them and only after the bulbs where in place did I realize some thing was wrong. They do not except returns that are uses so I am stuck with these very expensive bulbs and it was not my fault."

Not a Smooth Transaction

"I placed an online order for 3 Quoizel pendant lights. When I received the order confirmation email it showed they were all being prepared for shipment separately even though they appeared to be coming from the same warehouse. Two of them arrived several days apart, and the 3rd one stayed in a waiting FedEx pickup status. I reached out to 1STOPlighting and was told Fedex never picked up the 3rd shipment? The representative said they would put it in a reorder status. That seemed odd because it would seem they would simply notify Fedex that a package was awaiting pickup??? After waiting several days and not getting any order updates I called back and spoke to another rep who issued yet another order. I finally received the 3rd pendant light about 3 days later. A very frustrating experience. I will say however, the company did give me a $25 credit as is part of their policy for late shipments. "

An issue with quality

"I received the light fixture in a timely manner. The fixture is as pictured and described. Except for the glass bell, the quality is good. The problem is with the glass bell. It isn’t broken, but it has defects that should have been spotted in some kind of inspection before it was packaged to be shipped out. There are two pin **** holes in the glass and one of those holes has a slight crack running a bit above and below the small hole. These defects were not discovered until after the light fixture was installed by an electrician so I couldn’t return the fixture. I discovered them when I gave the glass a cleaning to get rid of finger prints."

Never Again!!

"I bought 3 lights from 1stoplighting. 2 we decided we didn’t like/didn’t fit and returned. The other light was in the wrong finish though I swear I ordered it correctly but was told I didn’t so we had to pay to ship it back and reorder. I reordered another light…and never received it. I’ve called customer service, emailed customer service and no one can provide a tracking number for the light and they won’t reship a new light or refund me until I ship the light back. Not sure how that’s possible since I never received the light! Needless to say, I’ll be getting my credit card company involved for a refund.

I wish I found these reviews before I ordered. Like everyone else has said they have horrible customer service and it’s impossible to get anyone on the phone. Long story short, there are many places to order from so buy from somewhere else with better customer service!

If I could give less than 1 star I would!

"This is the worst company ever as far as customer service goes. I ordered 6 lights that cost around $1500 that they didn't have in stock. They notified me right away that they didn't have them and then proceeded to charge my credit card for them anyways. I told them I would like to cancel the rest of my order since they didn't have the lights in stock and couldn't get them, and that was the main reason for my purchase. The other items were just a ceiling fan with a drop pole. They told me it was to late to cancel the order, even though I tried to cancel the same day I placed the order. They never refunded me the $1500 they charged my credit card for the lights and I finally had to get my bank involved in order to get my money back. The fan and drop pole finally showed up after much delay with no tracking. I kept the fan but decided I didn't need the drop pole. I got a merchandise return authorization after about a week of trying and finally sent the pole back. I never got credited the money for the drop pole and it's been 4 weeks. I've spoke with 2 employees that told me they've credited me the money and it should show up in my account in 3 to 4 days. It's now been 2 weeks with no credit. I've quit trying because this company doesn't even answer their phones."

Terrible customer service

"All 4 of my pendants were defective. Dealing with 1STOPlighting.com's customer service has been nothing but frustrating. I first emailed them asking if we could try to bend the pendant to correct the issue. I was told to go ahead and do that. I emailed them back (twice) to let them know we were not able to fix them. Two days went by without a response from them. Finally, I receive an email from them saying that they hadn't heard from me so they assumed the issue had been resolved. I called customer service to find out what was actually happening. (the representative was awful!) I was then told they were issuing return labels for the defective pendants and issuing new ones. The following day I received an email stating they needed photos (of which I had already emailed). I still have no idea if I will be receiving replacement lights. I would NOT suggest using 1STOPlighting.com. Terrible to deal with!"

Be very careful

"First of all; I wish that I had read theses reviews before making a purchase, but I didn’t which is why I’m experiencing this issue now. I ordered 4 pendant lights (Westinghouse). The picture on the website showed a hammered clear glass- exactly what I wanted and at a good price. So far so good. The pendants arrived, clear glass but not hammered- a definite no-no for me so I requested a return authorization giving the reason for my return. There was no contact from the Company other than instructions to send them the tracking #. UPS charged $110.97 to ship the item - almost what I paid for the lights themselves. I have contacted Customer Service and you guessed it “ sorry, our policy is not to return more $ than what the item costs” When I explained that it was misrepresentation on their website and that I was paying the cost, it was the same answer. I was offered a $25 credit towards a future purchase. Why would I buy anything else from this Company? When I tried to negotiate with the Order Manager she offered that maybe if I placed another order she could “work with me”. I am not too optimistic............."
