"I purchased 2 t-shirts with Chess Record logo on them. After just one washing the collar separated from the body of the shirt. I returned the shirt for just for an exchange because they assured me this was an aberration. I used their return label and UPS verified that they received it. That was October 31st. It is now February and I have yet to receive a replacement. In the meantime, the other t-shirt has also separated at the collar. They can keep the money. The most upsetting thing though is that when I was assured that the shirt was just a one-off defective one, I purchased another on Nov. 14th for a dear friend in France who had visited the Chess Record Museum with me when he was here in Chicago a 3 years ago. I sent it to him for Christmas. C’est dommage!"
"Returned a shirt for a different size which UPS verified that it was delivered 6 JAN 2023. 32 Bar Blues did nothing for 3 weeks and it is virtually impossible to reach Customer Service -- they did not respond to my emails and their phones are so dysfunctional that several times, I reached the busy signal or the line would drop. Granted they carry unique and interesting high-priced clothes, but if anything ever goes wrong, your issue will not be resolved. The shorter path is to contact your credit card issuer and prove to them that the return was delivered."

"My wife bought several very nice items for me from 32 Bar Blues for Father's Day. However, two items had to be exchanged for another size and one was exchanged for a different item. Returns required two phone calls, one returned phone call and then the burden was put on me to fill out the detailed return form with description, item number, color, size, quantity and color. The customer service rep could do none of that for me. Besides telling me how to fill out the return form, the only other "customer service" performed was to tell me that returns or exchanges would be charged $8.95. Gee. Thanks!"
