"I ordered a camera (Canon 6D) gift for my daughter. Their online price was $1199, which is about $200 cheaper than most places. After I placed my order the company called me to ask if i wanted signature delivery or not, apparently i had neglected to check that box during check out.
I told them i did. THEN he "suddenly" notices that i ordered the 'international" version. The difference being software in a foreign language and NO MANUFACTURER WARRANTY. (It does NOT state this on the website). When i tell him I am fine with this he suddenly realizes it is OUT OF STOCK. I'm LOOKING at the website as we talk and it's in BOLD "In-Stock, ships within 24-48 hours" (Oh, and it STILL does today). I tell him this and he says its a software glitch. It will be 2 to 3 weeks before they can ship MY camera. He tries to sell me the US Version for $1379. I am quite upset at this moment and tell him I'm on the site and that I feel they are using deceitful business practices through false advertising. he asks if it says warranty under the "What is included" section on the site. Oh, for once he was right. Once again, obvious scamming practice. I complain and I'm obviously angry but i do not get rude or irate. he finally offers me the US Version for $1350 and an "upgrade" to the fastest shipping. Well, seeing as this is around $50 cheaper than elsewhere and i do not want to go through this again with another company, I acquiesced. Then they shipped my Camera. Normal UPS Ground. Without signature confirmation.
