"Overall, 42nd Street had the lowest price, and delivered the camera I purchased right away, without upgrading the shipping. However, there are a lot of items that Sony does not sell with the camera, which 42nd street uses as high pressure sales tactics to get you to buy them immediately (so you don't have time to do the research on those items). They are very polite, but did make me feel as if my order would be incomplete if I didn't buy the additional items. Can't blame them for pushing further sales, but it is done in a very high pressure manner.

In short, the higher price items are the most inexpensive (such as my camera), however the addons (battery, memory card, case, etc.) are more expensive."

Yesterday (8/20/12), I received a call from Jonathan who was anxious to resolve the problem. He listened to my concerns about engaging in any further business with his company and assured me that he was most interested in rectifying this difficult circumstance in my favor.

Since my initial expectation had not been met, he agreed to immediately ship a new camera which arrived this afternoon to my satisfaction. Given the turn of events, I am likely to make future purchases at 42nd Street Photo.

Ratings reflect the confidence customers have in merchants and are entirely subjective in nature. With an initial score of zero point zero, I am amending the rating to a new score of four. A perfect transaction would have merited a five; however, since this was far from perfect and I was responsible for paying the return freight, I feel a score of four is justified.

Surprisingly did not try to sell me memory card even though I did not order one at time of purchase. Only part I did not like is purchase came with 42nd Photo warranty and not Canon warranty.
