"horrible store - ordered a canon lens and flash on the 26th of August. Now we are Sep 15 and still nothing has shipped. I've called these guys 7 times and every time you get a different answer, but it will always 'ship in 2 days, don't worry, you'll get an email'.

"I got an order confirmation number and tracking number from this company saying my order had been SHIPPED on Sep 5th, WITH a tracking number. Today is Sep 11th and after several emails, I CALLED them. "Oh, ma'am, there's been a problem. It appears they missed a scan." WhatEVER that means. What is means to me is They FAILED to ship my order and LIED through their teeth. I am livid. Now he tells me it will be here TOMORROW. Yeah, right. This will be my LAST dealing with THIS bunch.
Yesterday this company assured me my order would be overnighted to me and I would have it today, 12 Sep. I called and they said it would sent TOMORROW. I cancelled my order and filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the State Attorney General's Office."
"i purchased two lenses for my GL2. a .45X wide angle and a 2.2X telephoto. after placing my order on ebay i looked up this seller on Resellerratings.com and became very scared that my lenses would come far to late or in bad quality. out of fear i called 47thstreetphoto to ask about shipping time and quiality. the customer service agent assured me my package would arrive within a week. and sure enough 6 days later i recieved a tracking number from UPS and my package arrived the next day. i am very content with my shopping experiance and plan on doing buisiness with 42nd in the future "
"Here is my story: i) ordered a lens online from 47st on 5/22 which was (and still is) listed as in stock; ii) received an email on 5/23 informing me "shipped," but no tracking info; iii) called on 5/26 for tracking info and went to the UPS site, then found out that "billing info received 5/24," but "voided 5/25," yet my credit card was already charged on 5/23; iv) called 5/30 and was told the item was on back-order, I told them to cancel the item and they hung up on me, I immediately called again and asked the money be refunded; v) called again on 6/5 and was told they were going to put the money back that day. I am still waiting to see if my credit card has been refunded.

"This is my 2nd purchase from them, I bought an Opteka grip. It came quickly, and that last time I purchased 2 camera bags, and they threw in extra lens cleaning kits. Shipping was very reasonable, in about 4 days from the initial email notification that the product shipped."

After several follow-ups, 47st photo finally agreed to refund my money. It is currently 9 weeks from date of payment and no refund has been received. Emails not replied to. Customer service excruciatingly poor and dismissive. No apology whatsoever for disgraceful service. Bad business."

After waiting 10days to hear back on a response promised in 1-2 days, I called to find out that my item was back ordered. Only after I asked whether it was available was I told that it was not. I ordered this product on 1/20, received a shipping confirmation email on 1/23, but did not receive the item. My credit card was billed on 1/26. I called on 2/2 and the CS rep said the item never shipped because it's backordered. He said he would cancel the order. I asked him to reverse the credit card charge. Never happened. After 3 weeks, 2 emails, a fax, and a phone call, 47th Photo finally reversed the charge for an item that was never shipped. They have good prices, but you pay for it with your time."
"Ordered a lens showing "In stock" from their website on 12/26. two weeks later with no shipment notice I called to see what was going on. Salesperson looked up the order and said he would call back. Luckily I wrote the guys name down, because the next day I had to call again and start all over again with the same guy. Then he informs me that they do not have the lens and my order was cancelled. They did not even inform me of this! So in summary bad website data on stock info, and bad customer service. Stay away from these guys."

"This was my first order. I ordered Fuji S7000 digital camera & deluxe package, Pro Smart flash, Ah belt pack. Over 17 days I received the merchandise, you must remember it was just before Christmas and New Year. I could track my parcel and 3 day after it left 47th Street photo my merchandise was n South Africa, it took 6 day for my items to get to me from the South African Airport. So you can see that there service was excellent and our Airport not so good. I had an excellent experience the first time and was hopeful my second would be just as good because I am going to order myself a Canon 20d from them.
I recommended to a friend to get her camera and accessories also from them and she is so happy with her items and there service. I tell everybody to visit there website because I have excellent service from them.

"The purchase of my external Sigma flash from 47th Street Photo is still not complete. I made a mistake on the first purchase and them was able to resolve the problem after talking to a representative from the 47th street photo team. A second flash was sent to me but was not the model I paid for so I have sent this flash back and I am still waiting for the correct one to come. I was really hoping to have this flash for Christmas but the person I talked to did not enter the order so I was without the external flash during the holidays. My original purchase was on the 22nd of December and now it is the 18th of January and still do not have the flash I ordered. I will give 47th Street photo until the end of the year and then will call for an update."
