"Three full years after purchasing my computer from ABS, I was reminded why I decided to go with them to begin with: "Always Better Service!"
My Awesome 1300 desktop from ABS has worked smoothly and mostly problem-free since receiving it back in March of 2004. In April of this year, out of the blue, my computer would go to the "blue screen of death", saying that Windows had experienced a problem and needs to shut down, and would begin "dumping physical memory to disk".
Being an intermediate-level computer user, I did my own troubleshooting process. When nothing I did seemed to fix the problem, I decided to email ABS in hopes they would be willing to offer some advice, even though I knew my warranty had long since expired.
Two days later, I received an email from Jane from ABS Customer Care, who politely and thoroughly explained what she thought the problem was based on the symptoms I had described, and provided me with recommendations on how to correct the issue. After trying what she first told me to do, the problem went away so I thought all had been solved. However, about a month later, the same symptoms resurfaced. This prompted another email to ABS.
Once again, Jane emailed me back and offered guidance and recommendations to correct the issue.
In the end, the problem was a bad RAM stick, which I ended up replacing with three new sticks of 512MB total. Jane was thorough enough to remind me what type of motherboard I had and what kind of memory modules were compatible with it. Not once during our email communication did Jane ever mention the age of my computer or that it was past its warranty.
Thanks to her assistance, I am happy to say that my computer is working perfectly again, and I'm even enjoying the noticable increase in processing speed thanks to my upgrade to 1.5 GB of RAM.
I would like to formally thank Jane from ABS Customer Care for her efforts and assistance. It means a lot to a consumer like me to know that they can rely on a manufacturer for support long after the original warranty has run out.

"I used to buy computers regularly for a small business I owned, but it's been years since I really had a grip on what was going on. I stumbled across resellerratings while crawling the net for information about buying a new computer; this site was a godsend. I'm posting as payback.
All my research narrowed me down to ABS and Monarch, and I judged ABS an overall better value for my system: Antec plusview case w/Fortron 350W PS, AMD 3000+ 64, Gigabyte K8Npro MB, 512 MB Corsair PC3200C2, ATI Radeon 9600XT 128, WD 120GB SATA HD w/8MB buffer, Liteon CDRW/DVD combo, Logitech MX cordless Keyboard & mouse, WinXP installed, total of 2yrs onsite service & some misc. software including a year of Macafee AV, a Wordperfect bundle, Quicken & some other stuff. It all came to $1171 -- even paying California sales tax it was a good deal.
I've had no reason to contact ABS whatsoever -- which is one of the best things I think I oculd say. I received a small stream of emails advising me on the progress of my order and designating my CS contact. The system shipped a day or two earlier than I expected, FedEx had it to me a day earlier than they committed to. (I was impressed to see a notice at the end of the ordering process not to ask for rush orders -- they don't rush, period. Could be hype, but the principle is still a good one)
The system arrived perfectly packed and flawless in both appearance and performance. From first power-on it's been perfect for a week now. The 5 fans make some noise, but it isn't too bad. All the system docs & software came nicely packed in a binder with zip-pouches. Paired with a ViewSonic P95f+ monitor, I've got a system that just thrums with powers and speed for about $1600 with taxes & shipping.
I'm a happy, happy camper. I'd gladly use ABS again."

"I bought an AMD Athlon 64 FX-51 and I am truly impressed with the set-up and performance of this machine. It smokes! After comparing ABS to other systems (i.e. Alienware, Falcon NW, Voodoo, etc.), I found that ABS offered the most "bang for my buck" and many more customizable options than the mainstream companies such as Dell and Gateway. I ordered and received my computer in 7 days! And this was the week before Christmas..Amazing! They would not allow me to talk with a person and I had to leave a message for them to call me back. They did call back about a day later and of course I was not home. I am very disappointed with this level of support."

I ordered a PC from ABS late Jan (3Ghz and 1 Gig Cosair Ram) and it was sweet. It was a bit slow in getting here, but I made a change to the order as it was being built. This week my MB got fried (I think a USB camera did it bec I was told that by Tech). So I called the Tech Dept which called me back in 1 hour and to male a long story short they did an IN HOME repair and 2nd day me new MB and CPU. The IN HOME comes with the computer system and it has a seperate 888 number to call (they outsource this part). Overall I am very happy as when I had a problem with a Dell they wanted me to mail the whole computer lol. "

"I just took delivery of a machine with an AMD^64 3200+ CPU. I actually received it less than a week after I ordered it. All requested components are installed and drivers are in place. The wiring is very neatly done. I'd say it's a smoking machine, but that might be taken out of context. It's an incredible machine, and it's working perfectly as far as I can tell. I HIGHLY reccommend these guys. I spent a huge amount of time researching a company to build my machine, and these guys had the best balance of good parts, reputation, and price. A friend of mine couldn't beat their price builing it himself!
Just as an update, I called tech support recently with more of a question than a problem. I wasn't able to speak to a person immediately, but the call back came within 2 hours, and answered my question. Also, I've had absolutely no problems with my computer after a month and a half."
"ABSPC I highly recommend. After waiting forever for my alienware I got frustrated and cancelled my order. I looked up abspc and they had a system that was twice as fast and less expensive than alienware so I decided to go with them. They were great on the phone and shipped it fast. I got it within the time frame they stated 5-7 days. Shipping was fast as well. I dont understand how when this government guy buys a bunch of pcs for the Navy and expects to get replacement parts without paying for them or returning the defective ones. That is just wrong I know DoD procedures may not let you give it back but you should have to buy another one then. On a business standpoint that is only business and a security standpoint for the Navy they shouldnt expect to get something for nothing. Dont say I dont know anything about DoD procedures either cause I too work for the government. Please think about what you are saying before you post it."
"I have purchased two computers from ABSPC and both of them arrived doa! Now I am being told that their 1 yr. on site service agreement only covers two service calls. Being completely dissatisfied with ABSPC I changed vendors and bought two more PCs from Nutrend, later to find out that Nutrend is at the same address. Guess what, both Nutrend systems also arrived doa."
