"I have never been more impressed with a company. The amount of communication I received from AVA direct during my ordering / building process was staggering. Their engineers were very friendly in a real way (not this call script you encounter now a days), and they offered great advice on system components. The whole ordering process was pretty simple and very easy.

Then, I get my PC and my processor goes bad after about two weeks. Sadly computer components are not perfect; we should all know this. Even building a PC yourself from scratch, there is a good chance you will like need to RMA at least one part.

Needless to say, I was still pretty upset. When I called AVA direct support however, I worked with amazing people who were able to help me troubleshoot the system. I can't express how impressed I was with the service that I received over the phone. It was determined that my processor was bad, however I didn't feel up to replacing it myself - not a problem, I shipped my PC back and they began the repairs.

During this whole process I was in communication with AVA-Direct's splendid support staff. They let me know when my PC arrived, when it was being worked on, what they thought / found the issue to be, etc. It was all very nice, and like I said before, it wasn't scripted at all. I gave me this small town feel, of people who really cared about their jobs.

Overall I was very impressed with the whole process and am very impressed with AVA-Direct. If you're looking to get a custom gaming PC, or otherwise, you really can't go wrong.

"I was looking for a new system so I started to research places that build them. After reading many reviews, I decided to go with AVADirect. I spent some time on their forums first and coming up with a build and discussing it there. It was great, got good feedback.

After placing my order, I was extrememly pleased with the customer service. They have a message board connected to your specific order. I asked many questions, and in the process was even able to add a solid state drive to my order with no problems. When all was said and done, there were 33 messages back and forth between myself and Joe Mundy. He answered every question I had, typically within minutes of asking.

I placed my order on March 28th and received it on April 13th. It was packed very carefully and safely and was a breeze to set up. Everything worked perfectly. They had the OS setup on the SSD and had zero bloatware on it. Nothing. They included all of their testing logs which was a nice touch.

"Summary: 4.5/5 overall. They were very helpful but maybe I was unlucky and got a noisy unit.

Before the sale: I went with an ASUS G75 because of its reputation for quiet fans (important for my studying). Joseph and Vedran were really helpful with advice on their forums. Seeing that AVADirect has some good stuff on silentpcreview, I was hopeful!

Shipping: Styrofoam peanuts packed between the inner and outer boxes (at least for 4 out of 6 sides, I'm not sure why 2 sides were left unpadded). Still, everything came in great condition.

After the sale & RMA: Everything about the laptop was just amazing, except, however, a loose part rolling around inside and a buzzing tone whenever a fan spins. So after a week trying to get used to the sound, I contact Vedran and they take it back for inspection. They fix the loose part but deny hearing any noise. However, they do update BIOS and even agree to install for me some new fans that I bought, hoping to solve the buzzing.

Currently: It arrived back in similar packaging yesterday, including the spare fans. Upon power on, the screen had tiny vertical lines everywhere (or maybe a weird screen resolution), but after fiddling around it seemed to disappear. Whew. However, the buzzing tone is unfortunately still there.

I'd say AVADirect has done for me all that is fair to expect from a leading computer boutique. Since fan replacement didn't work, maybe the only thing left is a whole computer replacement, but that seems like asking too much.

Overall, great service, great knowledge, great website configurator variety, just an unlucky unit they got from ASUS. It happens."
