"I am very satisfied with the PC I got from AVADirect. I did not know exactly what I wanted when I started my search. It was obvious (and still is) from their websites that I was not going to find it from Dell or HP. I could tell I was getting close when I first visited the AVADirect website with its multitude of choices and detailed info about each option. It was the combination of the website and helpful advice from an AVADirect salesperson which got me on the right track. What was the best Digital Audio Workstation I could get which would fit into a certain space? He showed me that a dual processor system would be too big. I then selected a motherboard, CPU, RAM, and SSDs. He completed the design with power supply, cooling fans, and a Corsair tower case which I never would have found and now would not want to be without. In short, this was a great learning experience."

"I was extremely impressed with the quality of the build of my custom PC. My total cost (ex shipping)was $101 more than what all the individual components would have cost at a low-cost competitor. If I had tried to build the computer myself it would have taken me 6+ hours and the result would not have been nearly as well-executed. For only $101, AVA's service is a phenomenal deal by comparison. And their website blows away all the other custom PC builders in terms of options and price. It can be a little hard to navigate but that's reasonable given the variety of choices. Overall I was extremely impressed with my experience and look forward to being a repeat customer."

"Upfront Research: I wanted a new gaming PC and went with AVA Direct for a few reasons. I could have saved some money going with iBuyPower or CyberPower, but from reviews it looks like they have questionable build quality and support. I also looked at builders like Falcon Northwest, Velocity Micro, and Alienware, but for the equivalent of what I got they were much more expensive. What really sold me though was the selection of parts AVA Direct offers, especially cases (I'm a fan of all aluminum Lian-Li cases). I used NewEgg to research a lot of individual components and in almost every instance AVA Direct offered it.

Sales/shipping experience: I worked with an assistant sales manager (Joseph Mundy) to put together a custom build and I really appreciated the willingness to work with me and the quick response times. I wasn't thrilled with how long it took to get the machine, but it was well within the stated SLA and I did like how well it was packaged.

Craftmanship: I was floored by how well it was put together with all the cables routed behind the motherboard and extensive use of cable ties, all making for a clean interior. What a vast improvement relative to the spider web of ribbon cables on the last desktop I built back in 2002.

It was great that there was next to no bloat-ware installed (just Folding @ Home), but I found it curious that there was NVIDIA software/drivers on my machine with an AMD video card. Something about the height of the Windows 8 taskbar was also not a default setting. I’m not sure what exactly did it but in the process of installing/uninstalling a bunch of software Windows 8 got messed up and went into an infinite reboot loop. I went to Safe Mode but realized I didn't feel like trouble-shooting it, so I just did a clean install (or a "Reset" as Microsoft now calls it) and all is well now. That’s another plus for AVA Direct, they included the Windows 8 install media which is so often missing from other vendors.

Overall I'm really pleased so if you're looking for a new PC and have an appreciation for quality versus cutting corners to get rock-bottom prices, AVA Direct deserves your hard earned cash. The extra couple hundred dollars I paid over building it myself is worth it when I think about how well it’s put together and the warranty and support they offer. "

"This is my second purchase from AVA and I continue to be extremely pleased with them. I sent an older Lian-Li case to be retrofitted with all new components. I also included one modem card I wished to have reinstalled in the new system and a card reader as well. Again, the AVA work was top-notch; all my directions were followed, the unit was super well-packed and I am finishing reloading my data. "It's been about a month with my new PC, and I must say, everything is perfect! I got exactly what I wanted. Assembly quality was excellent - the best I have ever seen in any commercially manufactured PC. Very carefully shipped - even the cpu heat sink/fan was secured by foam rubber. Nothing fell out, and nothing was defective. This was my first custom PC and I'll never buy another HP/Dell/Gateway again. At first, I hadn't heard of AVADIRECT, so I initially bought a custom PC from a certain "magic" vendor. Their PC broke after 10 minutes of use. The cpu heat sink wasn't tied down, and the cpu fried. I was able to secure a refund, and when the check came, I decided to try AVADIRECT. Delivery was not quick - 3 weeks. I did at first have a little trouble getting the configuration I wanted. I was forced to buy a (cheap) video card to get my desired configuration at the best price. When I asked for the same configuration without the video card (I already had a good card), the quote was $200 more! Despite these little irritations, I am very happy with my purchase and have recommended AVADIRECT to my friends."

"My last desktop PC was a Cyberpower custom computer. And while it was a great system that lasted way longer than I ever expected it to, this time around my budget was much lower, so I decided to shop around. AVADirect emerged as the best value, as well as one of the highest rated custom builders I could find.

For several weeks I played around with different configurations on their website, did research, compared prices, etc. I finally decided on their FM2 Value Custom Computer system. I configured it with an AMD Quad Core 3.8-4.2 GHz processor with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO CPU cooler, Arctic Silver 5 compound, 16GB of Crucial Ballistix Sport memory, an Intel 120GB SSD hard drive, Thermaltake V4 case, Thermaltake 600W power supply & Windows 8 64bit OS.

I priced each part and realized it would have cost me over $100 more to build this machine myself, and wouldn't have had the extensive quality assurance tests that AVADirect does on every build. Not to mention their 3 Year Warranty! So it was a no-brainer to go with AVA, and I'm glad I did.

The system arrived within the stated timeframe (about two weeks), and was packed very well for shipping. All the component manuals, CDs, etc. were all neatly packed in the motherboard box and the computer was ready to go. After booting it up and checking to make sure it all worked, I installed my other hard drives, DVD-RW drive, an extra case fan, and extra USB 3.0 ports for the front of the case.

I've had it for a month or so, so far it's the best computer I've ever owned. Very fast, almost completely quiet, and dependable. It's been able to handle everything I've thrown at it... graphic design, audio/video editing. At some point I may add a graphics card for gaming, but for now the built-in AMD graphics has everything I need for business and personal use.

Only time will tell how many years of service I get from this PC, but for now I would recommend AVADirect to anyone looking for a well-made custom computer and a great alternative to the big manufacturers that don't always deliver the quality and service they promise."
