"I returned a defective product and was told numerous times by email I would be refunded. They did not care until I made a complaint on this site months later. I returned the product in late December 2010.
3-16-11 After pursuing this for a couple of months I used this site to tell my customer service nightmare. I was contacted the next day by A Matter of Fax representative who is resolving this concern and sending a refund.
3-29-11 I received my refund and have been treated very well by a representative of A Matter of Fax. I have been asked to modify my complaint on this site which I did. But their initial customer service was not driven because they care about customers but only if you complain and make them look bad. I still do not trust them... if they really cared I would not have had such a difficult time getting my money back in the first place. "

"My order was placed back in February. If I check the status on the web it says sent to the warehouse but as of this morning, 3/8, there is no tracking information.
If an item is backordered or cannot be obtained, that is understandable. However, not getting any communication during all this time is unacceptable.
Updated: I did receive the order after complaining twice at the on line center, leaving a phone message and posting this review. Jacob from the company called me and apoligized stating that the person who should have been following up on my earlier messages had not been monitoring the messages. "

"I recently placed an order on an "amazing deal" for a Sharp 42-inch flatscreen TV on 2/28/11 from A Matter of Fax.
I admit, I was a little skeptic at first due to not noticing any change in my order status right away; however, upon contacting AMOF a day or two later, they informed me that there was unfortunately a slight delay in the processing of my order due to verifying credit card payment (which I can accept and very much appreciate due to all the credit card fraud that occurs these days).
AMOF's customer service was very helpful in attending to my order and made it a priority for the purpose of my complete satisfaction.
They did, however, indicate that the product needed to be re-packaged for shipping due to the original packaging being damaged from being placed on the bottom of a skid. They insured me that no damage occurred to the product itself, but wanted to make sure that the product wouldn't sustain damaged during transport. They stated that the product is indeed brand new and comes with the manufacture's warrantee. Because of the slight delay in processing, they also shipped the product out the same day I called.
Furthermore, to obtain my complete satisfaction and confidence due to the delay and need for re-packaging, they stated that I would receive a full-refund if I am unsatisfied once I receive the product.
If I am satisfied with the product once it does arrive, I will definitely consider doing business with them again in the future and will re-rate them as a 4 or 5-star.
I don't mind a little lag-time in shipping in return for a brand new product at an incredible price!"

"I tried A Matter of Fax after my local distributors did not have the item I was in need of. Apparently it has been discontinued! I found A Matter of Fax via an online search. I am so happy that I did! They were very professional even calling me personally to inquire if I'd like to save money buy purchasing a remanufactured cartridge instead of an original equipment one. My order came quickly and was well packaged. I also received a call after my purchase to make sure I was pleased and to thank me for my business. "Having trouble with this merchant..
Order placed on 2/2/11, item shipped on 2/17/11. Received "Reconditioned" product, Original order was for "new" product. Called and emailed and called trying to get resolution, as of 3/3/11 I still have a "Reconditioned" unit that I do not want and A matter of fax is not making it easy. So far they want me to pay for the return shipping on a product that I did not order and do not want. Is this some bait and switch tactic? I want my money back!!!
Shame on you, A matter of fax.

After 20 or more calls and e-mails I have finally received a refund.

"10 days after placing my order and it still hasn't shipped. When I call them they can't tell me why and I get bounced between different departments. Ordered from them because of the prices and location: they're in Jersey and I'm in Philly. For an item that is supposedly in stock, I would expect to receive my order in three days tops. Boy was I wrong!
