"This vendor provided a good experience buying the product and I reviewed it with them when a customer service person called. She then asked me to go through a process of rating the transaction online and said I would get a $5.00 rebate on my credit card for the trouble. It was a more complicated process of getting that rebate than it should have been is why they are not getting a higher Customer Service score.
The good news is that they monitor their reputation and follow through. That should encourage buyers who are concerned."
"I ordered a projector lamp hoping it would be ready quickly since promise of 7-10 shipment with them, and shipment cost was expected to be free. After placing the order, the tagged on a processing fee. They also did not prompt for delivery choice. After 7 days and no delivery, I looked online and their order status tool showed all steps complete including a check box for "at the warehouse", but tracking was not available. In addition, the shipment type showed "swift" - what is that? Their website is non-intuitive and not very helpful. I checked back on the 8th day and again there was no tracking info. I called their support and I was in a queue for 5min which did not bother me too much, but then when they picked up they stalled for another several minutes clearly processing another order. They claimed the product was different from their normal processing and needed to ship to another warehouse location making tool result invalid. They still claimed it should ship in 10 days. After continuing to check daily, I called the operator on the 13th day and the product still did not arrive to their warehouse. They claim it will arrive this week, and ship 16 days after order, but they gave me no confidence in this. I will update when delivered since I am particularly concerned with product once delivered since I have later read people having problems with broken projector lamps.
Update day 14: A Matter of Fax Quality Rep called and has indicated an error on inventory with new shipment recently delivered to them. He addressed my concerns and is expediting my shipment. Since this shows respect for customer care, I am increasing my rating.
Update Day 15: The projector lamp delivered and is working fine. I think the cost savings was worth it."

"A GREAT experience! My part was supplied from Japan and given the tragedy with the recent earthquake and Tsunami the part was not available. I received a prompt call to inform me of the situation and a recommendation of options available to me. I was able to modify my order on the phone to an alternative that was available. "When I received my purchase from A Matter of Fax it wasn't quite what I expected and so I emailed customer service. It was after hours and I wondered just how long it would take to get a response. Well, first thing the next morning I received a reply, however, I could see that this matter could not be handled properly by email alone so I decided to call and talk to customer service directly. I reached a representative quickly and when I was finished explaining my problem she put me in touch with a gentleman by the name of Jacob. Jacob was pleasant to talk to and understanding of my situation and resolved it quickly to my satisfaction.

Website and cart seem ancient but maybe that's part of the charm. Order confirmation step seemed missing this last order; before I knew it I had made the purchase. "I ordered a replacement lamp for a projector only to receive a product that doesn't work. A Matter of Fax exchanged the bulb (at my return shipping expense - FedEx or UPS only) only to send me yet ANOTHER defective bulb. They have agreed to refund me the money, but again, I have to pay the return shipping. $60 in shipping later I still do not have a working product!
Update: Jacob, from customer service, worked quickly to resolve this issue and helped us ship the defective product back in order to receive a full refund. "
"UPDATE: After my initial review I was contacted by A Matter of Fax's customer service who wanted to apologize for my experience and wanted to help restore my confidence in them. Apparently the item I ordered is not readily available which I was not explained to in the beginning. They did a great job with customer service and helped me sort out my mess.
I had some trouble with them. First they wouldn't accept my credit card. Had to three-way in the bank to get them to accept it. Should've been my first hint. I ordered my product on april 6th and it has not even shipped yet. I needed it today... Even ordered it with expedited shipping. "
"Because of some confusing info on the website, I ordered what appeared to be 4 colors of drum kits for my printer. Instead, I received 3 black drum kits and 1 each of cyan, magenta and yellow toner cartridges. Since I only needed 1 black drum kit, no toner cartridges, and still needed the other color drum kits, I called Matter of Fax to explain the problem and was referred to Jacob, one of the best customer service reps I've ever dealt with. He investigated and understood the website issue, got the return authorizations and stayed on top of the process until I got the correct product. I don't think my rating would have been as high had it not been for Jacob's excellent service. In the future, I will call rather than ordering online to make sure I’m getting the right items. "

"I needed my lamp replaced as it blew up quite unexpectantly. Jacob got my replacement out to me quickly. He also made it easy for me to return the busted lamp back to A Matter of Fax. I would use them again for my lamp needs."
"I would not ever use them again I ordered a copy machine that was recondtioned it jammed the copy's were crooked. I contacted them 3 times a week to pick up the broken machine and the only time I got results was when I threatened to file a dispute with my credit card company. They have had the broken machine back for 3 weeks and still no credit to my card to date. I have a dispute in the pipeline I will get my $ 800.00 back someday I hope STAY AWAY AT ALL COST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
