"Very disappointed in customer service department. Bought a dishwasher and toe panel piece not included in shipment. Contacted customer service dept by email, took 5 days to get response and was told that I would have to contact the manufacturer. Then, after talking to manufacturer, told I needed proof of purchase sent from Abes of Maine, which was not included in shipment. I called customer service and asked that a copy of proof of purchase be emailed to me. It is over 10 days later and still has not been sent to me. Have since sent two more emails to the customer service dept without response, and now the customer service number has been busy for 2 days. Will be taking future business elsewhere.
After receiving response from Mr. David Mosseri, VP at Abes of Maine asking that I contact him to facilitate resolution of the problem above, I called and left messages twice and sent him email (as he recommended on his voicemail. ) After 10 days, still have not gotten a response either by phone or email from Mr. Mosseri. The concern he seemed to indicate on his response to my resellerratings post certainly has not been consistent with the lack of response I have received from him over last 10 days. Continue to receive abysmal customer service from Abes of Maine. "

"I purchased a product from Abe's of Main on October 8 and canceled it after they could not deliver in a timely fashion...even after paying the additional money for rush shipment. After canceling the order they informed me that my credit card would be refunded right away...to date, it has been almost 2 weeks and no credit.
i have made numerous phone calls and have been put on eternal hold with no answer.
I have left 2 phone messages and 3 emails with no response...customer service is the WORST!

"Im not satisfied with the abesofmaine service. I ordered it on Sunday and item supposed to come in next 5 business days. but it didn't!!!! I had to call them to find out. Plus, next week when I called no one picked up the phone, the company had 2 or 3 days off. I wanted to cancel my order. Later flowing week I got a tracking # on which was saying that my TV and T-Rex Tilt Mount was on the way. In a few days only T-Rex Tilt Mount came in, and on tracking number said that all order was delivered. I called them and they didn't know what happened. I placed a telephone order for a Lenovo computer with Abe's of Maine on October 3. The sales rep told me that I would receive an email confirmation of my order along with shipping information, and that I could expect to receive the computer within 5 to 7 days. I was not provided with an order number at that time even though I requested it.
On October 5 I began attempting to contact Abe's of Maine by phone as I had never received the promised email confirmation and shipping information. I called their toll free number numerous times each day for nearly a week and was never able to reach anyone. The recordings told me what hours the sales department and the customer service department were open, but no one ever answered the phone. I left numerous messages on their answering machine and sent them 3 emails, but I never received a response from anyone. I can't believe my misfortune that someone actually answered the phone the day I placed my order. I would have been much better off if no one had as I would have placed my order elsewhere.
My credit card was charged for the price of the computer the day after I placed the order, but I never received it. I filed a dispute with my credit card company (which thankfully refunded the money to my credit card after an extended period of time) and ordered the identical computer for less money from a company called Provantage. It arrived in 3 days and I can't say enough good things about this company.
Please save yourself a lot of hassle and aggravation and avoid Abe's of Maine like the plague. They are a scam company. If you place an order with them, they will take your money, you will never see your merchandise and when you request that they refund your money because you have not received the merchandise you paid for, they will not. In fact, they don't even respond to you. This is truly a shyster outfit."
"I ordered a color printer from them on October 8th. (Minolta Magicolor 5670EN). I needed it ASAP as our network printer died, our back-up color network printer won't work, and even our old HP4L quit after two days.
I was glad to see that the web site said the Minolta was in stock ("available").
First, the coupon code would not work. I tried calling three times but could never get to a live person.
I placed the order anyway and included a memo about the coupon not working.
I received no responses. No email confirmation of the order---though they did charge my credit card. No response to my memo on the order.
I have since emailed them three times. No response.
I've checked the status online. Apparently, they still have not shipped the printer.
The whole process is frustrating and annoying. "

This was for a pre-order item which required you to upfront the money in advance for the total cost of the item. That's fine for me.
Come 1 month after, I wanted to cancel the order because other retailers like Bhphoto, Adorama, Amazon have the item in stock. I called them 4 times, each time it took 15-20minute on hold waiting in line to cancel the order and get my refund (this was before the item was even shipped). Come 4-5 business days later they finally process the cancellation and release the funds back to my card. So now it will supposedly take an additional 2-3 days to appear on my statement. In summary their cancellation and refund process is longer than the other big names like BH, Adorama, and Amazon.
But what really took the cake, was the male customer representative I spoke with. This guy belittled me, started talking about how he takes great pleasure in playing back to customer recordings of previous calls to prove that he didn't miscommunicate a point (which he never played back to me), I recall he told me the cancellation was processed and that it should appear on my statement 1-2 days ago (hasn't yet and the reason which I called in today about). He never seemed to bother to listen or even try to understand the customer's perspective. He had an attitude like he just wanted to get rid of you and couldn't give a crap less to retain your business or not.
Abe's of Maine's customer service? What a laugh! I wish I read their reseller ratings in advance compare Abe's at 6.98% to Adorama at 9.48% and 9.74%!"

Pretty sad when one can cut and paste bad reviews because the exact same thing happens to you. Buyer beware--this is a company with poor customer service and poor follow through!! Received order after longer than expected delay & upon opening package, noticed that a connecting cable to trigger Canon 5D Mk II camera was missing. Tried to contact via customer service email and after 11 days, & two more attempts, have not heard anything back. Tried calling their CS 800 number and was put on hold for 1/2 hour & then hung up out of frustration. If you purchase anything DO NOT expect them to make any attempt to address any concerns you may have. "
"I ordered a new TV on 8/29/2012. The TV promotion came with a wall mount. I also purchased a 4 year extended warranty. The TV shipped on or around 9/5/12 and arrived about a week or so later. The wall mount and extended warranty DID NOT arrive with the TV. I called immediately and was told they would ship out shortly. The wall mount shipped 9/19/12. I called again and said my extended warranty would be sent in the next couple of weeks. As of today I still don't have the extended warranty although Abe's charged me for it as of my order date. Not sure this is typical but I should not have to keep asking for something that I have paid for. I was contacted 10/22/12 by Abe's and told to call the company who provides the warranty. I did and was told I would get an email with my warranty in 2 to 4 days. Received warranty 10/22/2012."
"This store has great prices but the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. I ordered and have been waiting two weeks for a microwave. I cancelled the first order and was told it would be in a day or two later so I then re-ordered after five or six days. Still no shipment although the web site says shipping within 48 hours. Still no refund on my first order. Wow! Don't waste time with this store ules syou have lots of time to waste. Plan on a 20 minute wait to get a real person to help with your order."
"They will never be called HONEST Abe's of Maine. Purchased laptop on a Friday morning. Delivery was stated as 5-6 business days. Later that Friday, I get an email to call them about the order. Called but their customer service is closed Friday afternoon to Monday morning! Finally got in touch with them to discover that they were holding up my order to upsell me on crap like extended warranties, memory, etc. I told them "no thanks" and please ship immediately. Nine days after order, status still showed "sent to warehouse". I called them and after hours of being on hold, they tell me they do not have stock! I cancelled order and they promised a credit card refund. That was many weeks ago and I never received the credit. Of course, DISHONEST Abe has already charged my credit card even though they never shipped. We had to call the credit card company to dispute the charge. Abes is the worst online retailer that I have ever dealt with. I plan to file a complaint of "fraudulent interstate commerce" with the FTC."

I didn't know how terrible this place was until I read all the Yelp reviews. Almost no one has had a positive experience.
In my case, I ordered a television a month ago, have contacted customer service in several ways at several times, never received an answer, and have now found out they charged me hundreds of dollars and sent me the free wall mount that came with the television (which I never wanted) but are not sending the television.
I will be moving to get my money back if they don't respond (which I already know they won't from experience and Yelp) and assume I will have to go through a legal process to do that. They can keep the TV. I don't want to give my money to scummy companies.
DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE. "
"Make sure you read the reviews, you need to go with your gut. Considering the majority of the reviews are not good ones, why would you order from them? I unfortunately realized this too late. I placed my order with them over a month ago & have yet to recieve my product. It had stated on the website that what I ordered was available & like everyone else they called & told me it was not. I am extremely disappointed because they ended up up selling me with a longer warranty & some delivery charge for it to be personally delivered. I should have never even went through with my order & if you ask me they should have given me those extra charges for free ! I tried contacting this company multiple times in the last month & it is impossible! I even e-mailed them & left messages & I got no responses. The only line you can ever get theough to is SALES how ironic!!!! The one time i got through I was informed that the managers dont take phone calla !! That is great customer service ... NOT!!!
