"I hate to repeat everyone else but this place is a sham. Everything that people are talking about happened to me. I placed an order on Sep 24 for a 3d tv and no sooner did I place the order I got the upsell :(. I refused and kept asking "can you just send the tv ? " Finally Larry said the tv will arrive as the website claims. Numerous calls and unanswered emails made me contact Paypal. Thank GOD I used Paypal. The 3 days after paypal got involved my money was refunded. I did talk to someone before that and they said Jewish holiday and backordered and I laughed----its everything i read here. Paypal is the way to go but stay away from these losers. 5-6 business days shipping is larceny when they charge your card.....Abes will now post 5 positive reviews of their service I'm sure"

"I had problems with Nikkura memory cards in my D7000 Nikon and lost photos. I asked for replacement cards and Jason Scott at Abe's agreed to replace them with Transcend Class 10, 32 GB cards when I said I didn't want Nikkura again. Though I would have preferred a card brand on the list approved by Nikon, Abe's is sending replacements for now charge so that is good."
"What a great company! They shipped a Samsung Microwave which was damaged in transit. They asked me to call Samsung since it would actually heat. Samsung refused any help at all. So I called Abe's back and they offered a price concession first if I tried to repair it myself rather than return it. I took it apart and replaced a broken part, but the damage was too great. It still didn't function properly so I asked for a replacement. They were in constant communication during the entire effort and when I told them I struck out they had a new microwave on the way in hours. Can't recommend them enough. Jason Scott in customer service answered my emails immediately and was extremely helpful."
"ABSOLUTELY HORRID. Stay miles away from this fraudulent company. There website and overall business plan is built upon lies! I ordered a Canon lens 8 days ago. After 5 days of my order "pending" I began attempting to contact Abe's of Maine. I sent emails, I made phone calls everyday while the conartists at Abe's of Maine held on to my order without any notification of it's status or progress.
FINALLY, after staying on hold for 2 hours, no exaggeration, my wife was able to speak with someone and we found out Abe's never had the product in stock. We'll see how long the refund takes. Bottom line, these guys suck. They should not be in business. Stay away."

On October 1st,2012 I placed an order from Abe's of Main for refrigerator. Charge was posted to my account on 10/5/2012. I just got off the phone (on October 10) with Customer service rep. who told me that the item has not been shipped yet. "They may ship it next week." BTW, hold time was close to 30 minutes. When I asked to cancel the order he told me I "need to call back tomorrow and talk to Lisa b/c she is responsible for appliances".
I just sent them a certified letter stating that I am cancelling this order.
At the same time, I am contacting my financial institution to cancel this transaction.

"Ordered Bosch dishwasher online. I went throught the same hard sale for warranties. I refused. Shipment is still delayed. Have called frequently, usually message system answers then disconnects. When you do talk to a person they sound completely unconcerned. Net result, the lower prices claimed at Abe's are not worth the time and frustration. I WILL NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY IN THE FUTURE. Will try to cancel this order."
"The team at Abes of Maine really bad at shipping, they are close most of the time, offline chat does not work, their phone does not work in regular hours.
I ordered something from these guys and these guys did't ship it for 7 days, i called them atleast 30 times to cancel the order and go hold of one representative who told the order is cancelled and now what they shipped the order, i already bought a new one from other retailer.
Extremely poor customer service would not recommend it to anyone even if they are giving it for free

i think it would be appropriate for you to improve your customer service rather than asking customer to improve the quality of feedback.
Couple of things.
1)I write email to you dept ,please go ahead and check when they were replied.
2)Try calling your customer service option 1 or option 2 on a normal working day it takes more than 30 min to reach.
3)Also please check on the reviews that customer are providing you lot of 1 (*) why since you customer service is too bad.
4)Please keep in mind one dissatisfied customer will always discourage other to buy from a retailer since there are so many online retailers to earn business
5)There should be a link to you website to cancel my order if you guys are on holidays.

"DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING THROUGH ABE's Of MAINE!
Please read my review and the many others. I am still dealing with this company as they will not respond to me. I ordered one thing (it was available online and they charged my credit card) and after weeks of no response, I called them, and they said they no longer had what I wanted in stock and was going to send me a comparable model. It was an overhead DVD player for my car that I had to get it installed. Long story short, the DVD player was an inferior model, I had tons of problems with it, but tried to work with it. Once I realized that it would not work (my children yelling because they can't hear the sound, and picture going in and out), I called Abe's of Maine to try to send it back since it was not what I ordered. They wouldn't take it back because it was past 90 days. It was only past 90 days because I had to get it installed, which took weeks for me to find time to do it, and then use it several times to try to get it to work right. My installation people even tried to do some things to see if it would sound better, but since the picture wasn't working, I decided I needed to send it back. I then called the manufacturer (Audiovox) because it was under warranty and they said that Abe's of Maine isn't even an authorized dealer!! So I am trying to get this clarified by Abe's of Maine, and they will not respond to me. There was at least a one year warranty on their website for it when I purchased it. I have since bought another one through my installation people and it works great. Now I am stuck with a $500 device that doesn't work. Audiovox also confirmed that I was sent an older model with inferior features!! I just wish they would talk to me and help me, especially with this warranty issue. When Audiovox is like "who did you buy it from...never heard of them..." then there is a BIG problem. "
