"I recently purchased a Canon Powershot G12 from Abe's of Maine. I had read a few bad reviews so was a little nervous, however, my camera arrived 5 days after ordering in perfect condition. Abe's had the best price online for the camera I purchased and I did a lot of research. I'm very happy with Abe's and will definitely order from them again in the future. "

"UPDATE #2: Upgraded my review from 1 star to 2 stars, because I did finally received a replacement printer and battery today. So all of my issues are resolved, and I finally have everything I ordered... 5 days short of an entire MONTH after my order. They fixed it, but only after I complained to the BBB and buySAFE. Even then, it seemed like nobody in customer service knew what anyone else in customer service was doing. Before today, I had been promised "it's been shipped" or "it will ship" a few times, and "it will be refunded" twice. Too much hassle. Just buy from Adorama or B&H and you won't have to play games to get what you ordered.

UPDATE: Still no credit to my credit card for item not received. Still dealing with having the printer returned. I had to jump through hoops and open a claim with UPS to appease customer service to send it back to Abe's. Again, this place is HORRIBLE FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. If you buy from them, pray you get everything in your order and you don't have to deal with customer service for anything. They're always nice and courteous on the phone, but nothing EVER gets DONE about your problems.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE!!!
I'm glad some of you are having good luck with Abe's, but my experience so far has been TERRIBLE. I would suggest anyone look elsewhere and not deal with these people EVER!
I ordered a 5D Mark III 24-105L kit, grip, extra battery, and a Pixma Pro 9000 Mark II on 7/15. Nearly $5k worth of gear. I ordered online, and promptly received an order confirmation. Well, 4 days go by... my card had not been charged, and I had no further communication from Abe's of Maine. I called customer service and was told my order would be charged and shipped within 24-48 hrs. Okay, fine. I received a new order confirmation email with my order date listed as 7/19, and a DIFFERENT order #. Everything on my order was correct, except for the fact that they ADDED my $15 discount code to the total, then gave me a $30 credit before the final price. Weird, but the total was the same for my gear, so no big deal. Then, later that night I received a shipping confirmation with yet ANOTHER invoice (same Order # as invoice 2 above) but somehow this one was different again. My LPE6 battery was missing, the $15 discount was ADDED again, but this time there was no $30 credit to make it right. Somehow my TOTAL stayed the same! So I was overcharged $15 by a discount code, and lost a battery in the deal, for the same price! Received my order on 7/23, and sure enough, no extra LPE6 in the box, but it gets better! My Pixma 9000 box had been smashed and re-taped. Not the outer shipping carton, but the INSIDE actual printer box. The outer carton was fine! Someone dropped/crushed it enough to break the styrofoam inside completely across the width of the box. Everything is intact it seems, but WOW! On top of all of this, the amount they reported to the click-through rebate site Mr Rebates that I ordered through, was reported as the amount WITHOUT the battery, but the amount I was charged on my credit card INCLUDED the battery. I've contacted customer service by phone and email, so we'll see how this all plays out. As for me, this has to be the WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD WITH AN ONLINE RETAILER, PERIOD! That's saying a lot, considering I order nearly everything I can online.

"The whole process from start to finish was quick and easy. My item came in the time frame they quoted and in perfect condition. I have been using the Canon 430EXII for about two months now with no problems. I'm assuming Steve G. packed out my order because that is who solicited the review. He did a wonderful job and as I said the item was perfect when it arrived. This is the second thing I've gotten from Abe's of Maine and I will be doing business with them again. So far so good!! Not the rock bottom prices but ordering from them saves the cost of sales tax and no shipping charges, that usually makes them the cheapest overall for products!"

Abe's of Maine treats customers really well. There was a delay
in my order, the company upgraded 8 Gig to 16 Gig and sent me the products. Two times they did in one transaction.
Jason explains every step in great details, step-by-step. All company needs such employees for satisfying all types of customers .

"I shopped around quite a bit before I purchased my camera lens and Abe's of Maine had the best price. I thought that the ordering process was easy and the lens came quickly after I ordered. Steve Glenn called to confirm the order and to offer an array of additional items. "I ordered a flat screen TV and went with Abe’s based on the price for the product. With the free wall mount, they ended up around $200 cheaper than most local competitors, which drove me to use them. I read plenty of reviews online, so i knew most of what i was in for with their customer "service". i feel it's only fair that i put this information out for other customers to be aware of as well.
i placed my order one evening. The next day, i received a call from the customer service department, congratulating me for my TV purchase. What followed were multiple blatant lies, in an attempt to drive me towards various upsell items.
1 - free tv mount. The salesman on the phone told me that the free TV mount would "hold the TV roughly 4.5" from the wall, however, if i wanted to pay X (basically the cost of a brand new mount anywhere else), they would ‘upgrade’ me to one that held the TV .75" from the wall. I turned it down. When the free mount arrived, it stated right on the box that it holds the tv 1” from the wall.
2 – delivery service. The salesman told me that their freight forwarding company (which is BTW misstated on their website) had a great option for “white glove” delivery service, for only an additional X dollars. For this, they would bring the TV in to the house, to whatever floor you wanted, and help set it up, unbox it, check it out, and so on. When I refused this option, he said “well just so you know they will give you a 24 hour period for delivery with standard service, but with white glove, that takes it down to 1 hour”. He also stated that the freight forwarding company would leave the TV on my porch, and didn’t require a signature for delivery. All lies. It was a 4 hour period for delivery, it was threshold service (brought it in one door), and the company required a signature on a delivery manifesto before they could leave the product.
3 – warranty upgrade. They offered an upgrade of the standard TV warranty. No complaints about this offer, it could be very legitimate. I am just not a warranty person usually.
Following polite refusal of all 3 options, one final offer for $X for all 3 services clumped was given by the salesman, which I also refused. From that point onward, his prime objective was getting me off the phone so he could move on to the next customer and try to upsell more.
So in closing – I have no issue with Abe's or their products, I just believe they keep their prices low by upselling these other options to people who are unaware of the reality. All in all, great product, good price and bad customer service sums it up well.
