"I had an overall good purchase experience with AccessoryCircut. I ordered the Canon 430EX II Speedlite on June 20, 2010 becaue they offered the most competitive price. The following day after my order, I received a phone call from their sales rep regarding my order. He stated it would take up to 4 weeks to be in stock. He offered another product however I did not want to switch. To me, it is not in an urgent need, so I prefer to wait for my original order. As of July 5, 2010, I received an email from them stating my order had been shipped. It arrived via UPS within a week. I am pleased with their communication with customers. "There are much better internet resellers out there. There is definately a bait and switch tactic going on with this site. My part was said to be in stock, but right away I get a call swtiching out to another battery. Then a Promise of a car charger was made if i accepted the other battery. So against my better judgement i swap out what I really want, for their budget version. Then come to find out my husbands camera is broke, and they also don't allow returns. I've had much better luck and service from other companies. I'll never use them again.

"I ordered the Canon 430EX Speedlite on July 21, 2010 after searching the internet for the most competitive price. The AccessoryCircut.com website stated that the product was "In stock" however shortly after placing my order I received an email and phone call from Mr. Stevens to call him asap regarding my order. He stated the product was not available due to the speedlite being placed on a (4+) week backorder by Canon. Mr. Stevens offered another product however I declined. If the product is on backorder then why isn't their website updated to reflect this product as being on "Backorder." In fact, as of August 3, 2010, their site still shows the product as being "In stock" . . . My question is, if this is correct then how come I have yet to receive my order? **NOTE: Your credit card is charged on the date you place the order regardless if the product is on backorder.
UPDATE: August 5, 2010 @ approx 1PM I received a message followed by an email from Rebecca Court asking me to call pertaining my order. Approx. a half hour later I received an email stating my order has shipped along with a UPS tracking#. I think to myself, "That's great". Well as of 5:30 PM Friday, August 6, 2010 this tracking is not recognized by UPS. This morning I emailed them regarding this matter and I have yet to receive a response as to when UPS will be picking up my package for delivery from their establishment. Hmmmm
UPDATE: Received a call late Friday saying that my order will be shipped out on Monday, August 9, 2010 after 5PM. QUESTION??? Why would I receive an email from them stating my "Order Shipped" if it wasn't going to be picked-up from their establishment for 4-5 days later??????
UPDATE: On Wednesday, August 11, 2010, I received my order. A rep from AccessoryCircut called and left a message on my voicemail on Thursday stating that they were calling to make sure I received my order.
CONCLUSION: I am upgrading my rating due to the fact each of the representatives I dealt with from AccessoryCircut (via email/phone)were professional; once my concerns were addressed they followed through to ensure my order was shipped and took the time to follow-up. For my inconvenience they stated they wanted to send me a free diffuser. Nice touch -- Thank you!
POLITE SUGGESTIONS: 1)Maintain your website to reflect accurate product availability (Ex: In Stock / Backordered) 2) Once a notice has been emailed to a customer stating their product has shipped -- ship their order out immediately not 5+ days later.
I am sure you will agree . . . following these few suggestions will save you a lot of headaches; and gain you happier/more satisfied repeat customers.
**UPDATE** (August 30, 2010)
As of today, I have yet to receive the free diffuser they wanted to send me for my troubles/inconvenience with my order. Hmmmmmmm --- More advice . . . Don't may offers to your customers you have NO intentions on keeping/following through with. Better not to make the offer at all!!!!
Update: Still no diffuser as of (9/16/10) Hmmmm . . . won't hold my breath. "
"I'm not getting a good feeling about my order. Looks like a bait and switch move. Ordered a Panasonic baterry and got the old phone call saying it was on back order, but that i could substitute a "better" non-Panasonic battery for the same price. When I said no thanks I got some pressure and then was told it might be awhile.
I received a battery other than the one I ordered, but AcceccoryCircut volunteered to issue a refund and allow me to keep the battery. All in all that's about the best customer service

"I am very pleased with the service I received from Accessory Circuit. I recently ordered a product from them and once they receieved the order they emailed me to let me know that the item was on back order. I was deeply concerned because I needed for an upcoming wedding in August. I spoke with a customer service rep, who told me that the item could take up to 4 weeks to come in, which would be cutting it very close to the upcoming wedding. After speaking with the rep, I decided to send an email requesting more info and I was pleasantly surprised that within a couple minutes I had gotten a very favorable response. "Hmm... well, despite reading reviews with everyone ordering a out-of-stock flashes, I tried it anyway because of the amazing price. Sure enough, the Nikon SB400 is not in stock (though I read it was in stock as early as 7/16) and I promptly received a call to let me know and make other arrangements. I wasn't interested in another flash so I said I would wait for the shipment. This is a gift for my dad's birthday which is in 4 weeks exactly, so I was willing to wait on a longer shipment. However, the customer service rep would not guarantee I would receive the flash in even 4 weeks.
In less than an hour I received another call from Michael Stevens who assured me the flash would be here by August 25th (my dad's birthday). He happily solved my problem for me and told me I should expect it by the 2nd week of August. As long as I get it before my dad's birthday I am a happy customer!
UPDATE: I received the Nikon SB400 August 3rd, perfectly packed and brand new in all it's original packaging. I can't wait to give it to my dad for his birthday! Thank you! "
"I ordered a Canon 430EX II flashlite on July 24 after searching in webs for the best price. It showed that stocks were available when I placed my order. I got an email on July 26 asking me to call and was told by a sales rep. that it's backed order for 4 weeks. I am a disappointed prospective customer and told the sales rep that they should have updated its website if the product is not in stock.
Update: I received a phone call from Mr. Stevens soon after I posted my review. He informed that somehow the info from the sales reps was not correct and they have the stock. I told him that I cannot wait for 4 weeks and need it by August 5. He said that he could ship it soon to reach me by that date and I said OK. I upgraded my rating for his customer service response. I will update my review and rating again based on the progress and when I receive the product on time.
Update: I received my order on August 10, after several email follow ups."

So, this morning I called customer service and after 15 minutes of hold someone picked up. Custome service guy was telling me that the product is in backorder and I have to wait for 4 weeks. He suggested me to buy Vivitar speed light istead of Nikon.I told the guy politely that I am not interested in Vivitar, and asked the person to consider waiving my shipping fee for inconvenience caused by merchant. --7/30/2010: Well, this SAGA continues. Right after my update here I got a call from a guy identified himself as Michael stevens. He was furious and flat out rude, just because I haven't given him 5 star rating. It is like give me my A+ Grade before taking the test. He refused to ship my merchandise and said that he is going to refund my money and he does not care about any of this review. Few thoughts...
1. This company just lost a REPEAT customer.
2. So hungry about rating but realy don't live upto customer satisfaction in order to have steady business growth with continuous building of satisfied customer base.
3. If they have shipped the product as promised and ask me for rating politely, I would have given him any rating he wants.
4. They just used my money for few weeks INTEREST FREE.
It seems, this company just want to get high rating for few days on the web and then switch their stories..
Old scam of BATE AND SWITCH. I would never ever do business with this company again."
