"This is by far one of the worst companies that I have ever dealt with. I decided to deal with them because their prices seem low, but they are very shady with their products. They sell motherboards that are DOA and their customer service is awful. Take my advice and everyone else on this board's and dont deal with these guys."

"Placed order, after a week they called and wanted to upgrade CPU to retail as they were out of OEM. A week later they did not have mobo. Told to cancell order. 4 months later still do not have 1) a refund or 2) a computer. Calls go unanswered as do email."

"I have dealt with this company in the past with no problem. My last order, though, was a nightmare. I ordered identical mobo's and cpu's. Both burned out after a couple of days. I looked up the fans they had sent and they were not rated for the XP 2000+. I finally got through to tech support after four days of busy signals to find out my 15 day warranty had expired. They start the warranty from the invoice date. Our company starts the warranty the day you take the machine out of our store. It took them 5 days to process and an addition 5 days in shipping. So by the time I talked to them, I was 2 days outside the warranty. They did offer to sell me a 1 year warranty for an additional $47.00. I do believe Accubyte is using substandard equipment and using the misfortune of others to make money. "

"Ordered a combo Gigabyte 7DXR+ board + AMD XP 2200 CPU + value package and overnight shipping -shipped in two days, and wrong motherboard, without 90% of the motherboard peripherals including manuals. They won't send the essential peripherals nor any refunds."

"Why should it take five days to process an order of an item that is "in stock?" Seems to me they don't have it all together there. The day after I placed my order, I was called at home wanting to know if I wanted to upgrade my order! I told them I was not interested but the guy continued to try to persuade me. I told him I only wanted what I had ordered - nothing more - just my order! I called Accubyte the following day to request that I be taken off any of their calling lists. The receiptionist responded that she was unaware that they did anything of that sort. I placed my order on Feb. 23 - It is Mar. 3 and I still don't have it. It should only be two days for UPS ground from Illinois. I will never buy from them again!"

"Up until my most recent purchase, I had had good experiences with Accubyte.

Most recently I ordered a PC Chips 810-LR motherboard, an Athlon 2100XP CPU and a HS-Fan. For three days their website indicated that the status of my order was "Processing". I called them, waited on hold for over 10 minutes and was told that they needed to verify my information in order to release the hold from my order. When I asked thtem when they would have done that if I had not called, they said that they wait for the customer to call them. After verifying my credit card and shipping information they attempted to sell me more stuff that I had not ordered - upgraded HS/Fan, extended warranty, etc.

When the items arrived the motherboard was not the same model that I had ordered. The image of the board on their web site showed that the it had an AGP slot. The 810D that I received did not have an AGP slot. When I called back to complain the representative on the phone tried to convinse me that the 810D and the 810LR were identical boards and that the images on their web site were for "reference only" and did not necessarily match the product descriptions. He also assured me that the embedded graphics processor on the system board would run all of my graphics intensive programs at least as well as my current Nvidia graphics card. (What a crock)

Finally the system board would never run with the FSB set to 133. I tried it with 6 different memory sticks (PC133 & PC2100 DDR, 2 different CPUs (Athlon 1800XP and 2100XP), with a full clean install of XP and with 2 versions of BOIS that I got from the PC Chips web site and it would either lock up upon booting or while logging into Windows XP I would get a BSOD.

After all of these problems and receiving equipment that did not work I finally decided to return everything. Accubyte insisted on charging me a 15% restocking fee on the entire cost of my order which included 15% of the shipping cost.

Stay away from these crooks. Don't believe any of their on-hold messages taht indicate how customer oriented they are and that they pride themselvs on customer service - it's all a bunch of bull.

"Accubyte is a total ripoff, making money off of CPU fans and shipping. I ordered 2 Athlon CPU's with no fans asking for UPS ground. They called and said no warranty with the CPU's without their high priced fans. I own a computer repair store. I have the high quality fans already. They wanted me to sign a paper VIA fax with a copy of my drivers license for ground shipping. KEEP AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY "

"I placed an order with Accubyte and after a week of waiting, I finally called them to find out about my order. It too several tries to get through the busy signal. When I got through and survived the "hold' purgatory, I was told my order was delayed because one component (processor) was backordered. I was offered an upgrade for $12. I needed the parts desperately, so I agreed. When I recieved the combo (MoBo + Processor) I found the motherboard to be dead (blown BIOS chip). I tried the processor in my system, and it would not boot. Go figure. I again tried to contact them, it took a week (5 business days) of busy signals, holds, and promised returned calls from Juan (the manager). I was told I could return the DEFECTIVE parts for a 15% restocking fee! RESTOCKING defective parts?!?! I think there's a problem with this, but maybe thats just me. I have not received ANY satisfaction on this issue. I was told I could take the matter up with Juan's supervisor, Ali. Its funny but the supervisor's email address was given to me as ****@****. I am not hopeful."

"A week after I placed my order I received an email telling me that I needed to print out an included form and mail/fax it back to them to allow them to proccess my order. A week! The attempt to get in touch with customer service was a nightmare. It took me around 10 minutes to get a ring-tone(busy for 10 minutes), then I was automatically put on hold for around another 10 minutes. When someone finally answered, I gave them my order number and was placed on hold again for about 10 minutes. I decided to look elsewhere for the parts. I found them for around $15 cheaper at a faster shipping rate, 3-4 days instead of 10-14, and asked if they would at least match that since it was taking so long. No deal. I will never attempt to do business with this company again."

"Accubyte sent out a mobo/cpu/fan package that included a PCChips M810DLU, an Athlon XP 2000+, and a Cybercooler P-10000 fan. The mobo would not reconize the processor and had to have to bios flashed with a Athlon 700. The XP finally start working and then over heat because the fan is not speced for the 2000+. Tried to return the equip. and was charged a 15% restocking fee. They said that that system had been selling like that for 6 months"

"Horrible Sellers!!!! I am a reseller and was taking a substantialy large order of 5 computers and lots more components for a value of over 5000. They need them there by tuesday, So I ordered on thursdaywith 2nd day air, they would be here early and give me a little "cushion" for time. So friday comes and they call me to confirm my order. They say "yes we will ship it out today and it will be there by monday" so I was happy that I got it shipped out, than monday comes and no computers, so I call them up and they tell me they havn't shipped it! So after a few minutes of letting my anger out at them they agreed to ship it out next day. I got the parts put together the computers and kept getting the blue screen of death, and all these really wierd errors. I switched out every component in the computer except for the motherboards and CPU's which I got from accubyte. I went to Computer Stop and bought new motherboards and the machines run great. Accubyte had trouble shipping the products out and then when they finally arrive they are malfunctioning and useless, DON'T BUY FROM THEM! They have low prices, and that is only because the parts don't work."

"I was just recently "screwed" by Accubyte and am giving you info on how to end there business so no one else gets screwed. I am right now dealing with then in court, and I have the Attourney General Of Illinois Office Representing ME:) anyways all you gotta do is go to this lnk and print out the form, fill it out and mail it to them. Then you can try to get your cash back or something, Im also contaction UPS on mail fraud charges.

"I didnt check reseller's which i should have. I ordered from these guys over a year ago, They shipped a little slow but i got the board i ordered. I ordered 2400+ XP since they were the cheapest over a week ago and paid for their super high 2nd day. It's been a week and the cpu still hasnt shipped. This was for my main rig, i sold my 1600xp,I called them to cancel and just order from TCWO. They havnt charged my credit card yet, but they said I would get charged a "restocking Fee" for something they do not have in "stock"??
Man i wish i lived close enough to walk in the door over there and let him explain "how" to me.
Stay away from here.

"ordered 1.4ghz processor. arrived late. arrived "cracked" contacted company, spoke to owner. was told "we do not accept returns on physically damaged equipment. As per the bottom of invoice you received with product." contacted credit card co. to stop payment, and was told to send chip back. Accubyte then sent processor back, Illegally charging credit card for shipping, they also used the most expensive shipping they could sending back, so as to pump up charge. I would advise extreme caution in dealing with this company. They are criminals.

"I ordered an AthlonXP 2200+ CPU from them. But I canceled it via email (while its status is still "Processing") because it takes too long. I received no canceling confirmation, and they SENT out the CPU ANYWAYS. I got it today and it was like "??????" NEVER EVER purchase anything from this company."
