"I FEEL LIKE A DAMN ASS!!! Accubyte sold me a MoBo-Cpu combo that i though was a great deal. the cpu is a Ghz too much for the mobo i suggesst you DOUBLE CHECK COMPATIBILITY IF YOU ARE STUPID ENOUGH to order from them. I'm i n the proccess of trying to switch procs with them and gonna try to get a 1.3 AMD XP but i dont think i will because there waranty wont refund CPUs 15 days after the invoice date. DAMN ACCUBYTE CHEAP SKAPES!"

"Took around 5 days to just process my order for a athlon xp 1.4 before even shipping it. When i get it they send Me a 1Ghz version and a generic heatsink that was not the one i orderd. I will never buy from them again."

"Baught some RAM for my computer a week ago... still has not shipped. Had to call in 3 times now to try to get my order off of hold status. This company offers 15 day DOA warrenty... which sounds great, but it starts from order date.. 7 days past already and product still hasn't shipped. Please do yourself a favor and DON'T BUY from this site... check resellerratings EVERY time.. I've learned my lesson."

"HORRENDOUS !! LIARS !! My order was placed on a monday and I cancelled it on friday because I found a better deal from a friend.They never responded to my cancellation notice and when I got them on the phone they said it was too late now it had shipped out. I said I have proof of cancellation before shipping and they asked me to fax it to them. Then they said the fax came to late and they would have to charge me %15 re-stock fee ?? FAX CAME TOO LATE ?? It is still proof that I cancelled my order before shipping, so their manager says that the website was incorrect, it actually was done being built and shipped on friday, nothing he could do!! Then I find out that they overcharged the shipping,I paid for 2-day air express originally and they shipped it out by ground. To top this off, it never even got here, so I can't return it either, and they have been dragging their feet for 2 additional weeks so far to track it down! NO ONE should buy anything from these crooks, every person will make up his own story to tell you. They change the rules for how bad online buying can get !!
UPDATE:::
After disputing this with my credit card co., UPS, and shady-grady from accubyte,.. I didn't get my money refunded from Accubyte until JULY, 17 !!! OVER 1 MONTH LATER !!!!!!!!!! AVOID THEIR SCAMMING>>NEVER TOUCH THIS CO. FOR ANY ORDER >>>

"I registered for ResellerRatings.com to comment on this disgraceful company. Accubyte has the WORST customer service possible - to even call it customer service degrades the theory itself. This company is NOT customer-centric and would take their time to meet their own needs. I ordered next day shipping for a Xeon CPU, which was assured by a salesman that it would be shipped out on that same day. It has been three days already and another salesman smirked and pondered the validity of my story (when I explained to him about the other salesman). When I asked to get a refund, he said he was going to charge 5% restocking fee, even though the product wasn't even shipped out! This is NOT how to run a business, and because of companies like Accubyte, it ruins the reputation of companies who actually DO care. Avoid to do business at all costs with these people regardless of their prices. I have been RIPPED.

"Cancelled an order before it shipped roughly 2 weeks ago, have yet to get refunded on my money, and when I emailed them asking why it was taking 2 weeks and not 3-5 days, they replied "Order is cancelled, thanks". Customer service seems quite the opposite of friendly, and they seem to want to keep your money whether you cancel the order or not. Definitely better places to go, with less hassle to deal with, than to accubyte."

"Despite all of the other comments posted about this company they really have done a good job with my order. It took about 2 weeks to arrive, which is sooner than they told me it would come. It works perfectly, and after gutting my old comp to put the stuff in the new one everything has gone smoother than I had thought it would.

After I ordered I began reading a lot of the comments left about Accubyte. I got really worried about my order, but they really did a nice job. I'd recommend ordering from them if time isn't an issue.

"It took them 14 business days to get it to me, but then that's how long they told me it would take. I ordered a barebones system with AMD 1700+ XP, 300 watt supply, PC Chips SiS 735 motherboard and ATX case with a cooling fan for $112 plus $56 shipping. Yeah shipping was a little on the steep side, but the system came fully assembled and it was packaged very carfully and arrived in great condition. It took me about an hour to swap in my 2 hard drives, video card, memory, CD drive, floppy drive and have it all up and runnnig. I did have to adjust some bios settings in order to get the cpu running at the correct speed. So far everything's running great. This is my second order from Accubyte and it probably won't be the last. This isn't the best place to get something if you need it in a hurry but if you know a little about building your own stuff and want to save a ton of money give these guys a shot. The only complaint I do have is no documentation or manual for the motherboard. Thanks again to Tony.

"WOW! I was shopping for a new MB source and found this site. Then I saw ACCUBYTE! I had to stop and join, just so I could tell the world WHAT A RIP OFF these guys are. I recently purchased a MB combo.

"Ackie" is the shyster. I think he used to sell swampland in Florida. As soon as I told him I needed the order expedited, the price went up. Then they shipped me the wrong board. And it was defective! It worked, but there was a continuous flow of very low volume diagnostic beeps. No errors, the system ran fine, just beep...beep...beep. I tried to get their "tech department" on the fone, but could never get past a busy signal. Frankly, I don't believe they have a tech "department".

Anyway, I talked to Dave the salesman. He agreed to send me the MB I ordered Fedex Saturday delivery. But I paid for the Fedex. So they shipped it. But it did not come Saturday. And of course they charged me for it.

To be honest with you, I don't even want to deal with these crooks anymore. I'm keeping both boards and will contest the Amex payment for the Saturday shipping.

If you haven't purchased anything from them, keep moving. . . don't stop. Your chances of having a BAD EXPERIENCE are much greater than you could imagine.

"I had a good experience with Accubyte. Because Accubyte is a assembler/reseller, I did not expect the level of design and performace that one gets from the big computer companies.

The machine I purchased, the Acculon XP 1600+, was not perfect, but it has been a great machine. The CMOS settings were not correct for the motherboard/processor combination but after about an hour of work I was all set.

My machine has never crashed and has performed better than expected. The quality of the parts and the workmanship of the computer are far beyond my expectations for the price paid.

I haven't purchased barebone systems or individual components from Accubyte but my complete system is great.

Customer service was courteous and knowledgeable, though I was able to occasionally get different answers from different representatives for the same questions.

Overall, I am completely satisfied with Accubyte and would do business with them again. I recommend them for computer enthusiasts who want to save a buck and enjoy playing with their computers.
