Watch for their sales, they have some pretty hot deals, even against all the big well known competitors and you even get Rakuten/Ebates credits to make your savings even sweeter, you can also find many of their store items through sites like Reverb and Amazon which may offer special sales as well. Customer service is responsive if needed. Everything has arrived in undamaged condition shipping all the way from the east coast to the west. Only downside is shipping can take awhile via regular ground if your things have far to travel, surely it's worth the wait and of course you can track it. Thanks Adorama!"

"I have been shopping with Adorama since 2002 or so. Until my most recent purchase I have had nothing but a great buying experience from this company. Customer service over the years has been friendly and helpful. However, I recently purchased a Sony A7RIII from Adorama, and had my first bad experience with them.
Normally I wouldn't drop a company's rating so low that I have shopped with for so long over a single bad experience, but I found this transaction to be unacceptable. I spent $2600 of my hard earned money on this camera that I have been saving for, and someone in the shipping department threw it in an oversized box with a couple of tiny pieces of bubble packaging.
When I picked up the package from UPS (whose service is also getting worse), the gentleman behind the counter handed me the box and commented that there didn't seem to be much padding as the camera audibly slid around inside the box, bouncing off the sides.
After getting it home and opening it, I took a picture of the camera and small piece of bubble wrap in the box and called Adorama Customer Service. The lady I spoke with was cordial enough if not overly friendly or empathetic. I explained what happened and my disappointment with the company. She gave me her email address and I sent her the photo so she could "investigate" the situation. That was over a week ago, and I have heard nothing back.
I tested the camera thoroughly and luckily it appears undamaged and in good working order. I'm keeping it, but I am very leery about ordering from Adorama again. It's too bad really, I have spent thousands of dollars with this vendor on lenses, cameras, tripods, studio lights, filters, cases, light modifiers, you name it. They have been one of my go to companies for photography gear for my business over the years, but the items I purchase are far too expensive and necessary for my business for me to look the other way with incidents like this.
