"I called Ahuva to place an order for kippot for my son's Bar Mitzvah. While I was on the phone placing the order, the guy was actually increasing the prices on the website. He then charged my credit card the higher price. When I told him I did not agree to the higher price he became belligerent and said it was too late to cancel. I said I would dispute the charge and he agreed to refund my money. I then got a cancellation e-mail with a nasty comment in it that I will not repeat. Fast forward three weeks. I have already ordered the kipot from another vendor, received them, and am very happy. Ahuva is a distant bad memory. Ahuva now sends me an e-mail stating that they have shipped my order and are charging my card again! One word that immediately comes to mind is chutzpah. Another word is fraud. There is no reason to put up with this nonsense when there are plenty of legitimate Judiaca vendors out there."

"I ordered little tehilim books as a party favor 4 weeks prior to my sons Bar Mitzvah. Ahuva said it would only take 2 weeks. After 2 weeks they called me and said they could upgrade me to some other book for an additional price if I needed it right away. I said that I still had 2 weeks until the event and they told me no problem. Well, it's now the week of the event and the book swill not ship until the end of the week, meaning I will not get my order until after my event. They told me again that I can either purchase the more expensive books and they will ship it out today, or cancel my order, or receive them late. I told them they ruined my party favors and they are horrible for robbing people this way. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM."
"I ordered a product that I needed quickly and the website said I would get it in three days if I paid for expedited shipping. They shipped it from Israel using the US Postal Service and it is over a week late. I will now have to buy a replacement locally, because I need it for my daughter's Bat Mitzvah. When I complained, they told me to take it up with the post office."
"I ordered a talit and teffilin bags which were advertised as Suede bags made in Israel. In fact they were 100% synthetic material made in China. The clear plastic protective bag that came with it was the wrong size and would not be useful. But the looks were good, I even gave a positive review, though I did mention the plastic bag and expresed my worries about a weak zipper.
I personalized my bags with my Hebrew name and bought a custom made to size clear plastic protective bag.
No more than after 10 times I used the bags that the zipper on the talit bag broke.
It is impossible to get a response from the customer service. And as a joke they first offered 5% credit and lateer 10% ($5.90) They also questioned when I reported the problem, conveniently forgetting that it took a month for it to arrive.
I am now disputing the fool amount with the creditor under a buyer protection .
I would recommend to stay away from this guys.

"Ordering kippahs to be delivered to Scotland seemed crazy enough, but Ahuva assured me the shipping would work seamlessly.... AND THEN we suddenly had to move the date UP BY TWO MONTHS. I was panicked; they were not. Although the date had just been printed on the kippahs, they were able to very quickly change it and ship them out to me. "I can only speak for myself and admit to being a bit surprised after reading some other reviews. I ordered two pair of candlesticks which were shipped to my daughter in Chicago. They arrived on schedule, but one pair was salt and pepper in error. When I notified them, they responded immediately rectified this promptly and shipped the right ones! What better service could anyone want? I felt I was treated extremely well and will recommend Ahuva to others without hesitation. Yes, mistakes happen. I ordered a product with a specific design and color and was sent a completely different product. When I called to complain, I was told that the product I ordered was no longer available so they sent me a substitute. However, they did not ask if I wanted the substitute product - which was completely different - and I did not. They just wanted to make a sale and keep my money even though the substitute product cost a fraction of the product I paid for. I was asked to return the product I did not order at my expense to Israel after already paying shipping of $28. And this was right after Yom Kippur! Pure theft! Stay away! I took a chance and was burned and lost $100. Don't make the same mistake I did."
"2 weeks after item ordered and no update, I called and magically the item was shipped. Owner is indeed unfriendly and brusque. Price was better than other sites. I recommend you follow up on all orders and don't expect a kind customer service person."

In fact, once I return it in the Israeli mail, Josh (Ahuva) is going to call the artist and go thru exactly what my specifications are. Chapter 3: As far as the above is concerned Josh had accused me of not ordering the items correctly; yet my order was submitted EXACTLY the way Ahuva told me to do so, i.e., by referencing previous conversations. I mailed the items on the day in Jerusalem I said I would and provided Josh the registered number - I had to do so via email because the phone I rented was inoperable. Although he said he would let me know when I could expect the items, Josh did not update me after he supposedly contacted the artist. The items did not arrive in Israel prior to Rosh Hashonah, not even prior to my departure back to the USA. I have called twice - no one answers. Sent an email with NO RESPONSE. Josh said he has hundreds of favorable responses - where are they, Josh? I must go along with these negative responses. The fixed tallit & bag better be perfect OR I will return it and have my cc company go after Ahuva for a refund! I'll let everyone know if/when I ever receive it! To all who read this, G'mar chatima tovah! All the best for a good year!
Chapter 4. Ahuva has told me to withdraw this negative review! Not a chance in the world would I do so. The lastest is that Josh said the tallit was never received by the artist and it was sent back to me in Jerusalem. The tallit must be floating in space somewhere as it never came back. He refuses to provide me a refund unless I return it to him, which is impossible! He has cursed me in his emails and made other disparaging remarks. I have never dealt with such poor service in my entire 74 years. I have turned the dispute over to Paypal for resolution. If they can't resolve it. I will then go to the credit card company. No matter what he says, he and his company are completely at fault. He has lived up to the negative comments here on this site. I notice that there is a more recent complaint after mine! I kick myself for not checking him out before I ordered the item. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY, FOLKS!!!"
