"I ordered a camera on Dec 11. The description said it usually shipped in 1-2 days. Then they sent an email saying it usually shipped in 2-5 business days. I called after 7 business days and they said it wasn't in stock and they didn't know when it would ship. Their prices are good but it's easy to advertise a low price for a product you don't actually have. That's the definition of bait-and-switch.

However, they let me cancel the order with no questions asked, did not try to upsell me, and had not charged my card so there was no problem and no loss except a little time."

They then proceeded to try to sell me the same camera in a different color, for $150 more. I cancelled my order with them. "Was going to order D5100 and 55-200 lense. Asked about warranty. Told Nikon would not honor warranty but this place would give their own 1 year warranty. Hmm. Stolen products? Grey Market? Refurbs? No idea but not buying. Also told me they ship from warehouses around the country. And it would take 10 business days. That does not make sense. So I am staying away!

"I purchased a Nikon camera lens on black Friday sale. It was a (too?)good price but I gambled after reading some flaky reviews. The lens was shipped 2 weeks later after and arrived 3 weeks after original order. There was no original (Nikon) packaging or warranty paperwork just a receipt and a plea for good review on here! I tried to communicate many times via phone and email to find out where the original Nikon paperwork was. I eventually got through to Zak after 6 emails at least 10 calls and about 45 mins. He told me that I don't need to register for warranty and that the lens is wholesale so no Nikon packaging or paperwork. (not what Nikon's website says) I am sat here wondering whether I got a good deal, I think I did?


Update 12/20/12: Roger from AJ Richies contacted me and apologised. They have had comms issues and he wanted to rectify the problem and compensate. He assured me that my lens is new and genuine with a full Nikon Warranty and that he would send me a filter as a gesture of good will. I can't fault them for the follow up. "

"Never and I can not stress this enough...NEVER...Order from this company. The prices look good on the surface but it is not worth the rudeness and hidden costs at every turn. The sales department will try to push unwanted products and act like you are a problem when you say no. I was told that expedited was $30 and than told that it would take a WEEK to be delivered. How is that expedited. This company is a not worth the frustration you will experience to save a few pennies...when you are done that is exactly what you will save...a few pennies!!! I could have gone to a store where I live and spent less. NOT WORTH IT!!!
An update to my post...I got a call from this company and they have informed me that because I have given them a bad review they are not going to give me a refund. The only way they will refund my $284 is if I remove my bad review and give them at least a 4 star review...So they want me to lie to get what is mine. Just sent this information to the States Attorney maybe they can bring some justice to this situation. I have a feeling that I am not the first person that has had to take these steps to get justice from this company!! Again--DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY THEY ARE CHEATS!!!!"
