"Free shipping is NOT free! They charge you "insurance" which is essentially the shipping cost! I did not expect to get the product quickly, but they didn't even process the order for 1-1/2 weeks! After that time they sent an email for me to call them. Then after 20 minutes on hold I got through and they tried to sell me a bunch of accessories and then tacked on $34 for the free shipping insurance!!!"

"I got the Canon Rebel T3i as a Christmas gift from my fiance. He raved about the incredible deal he got on the camera and bundle package. It was an amazing bang for the buck and a thrill to know it came from New York where he spent some time as a kid. Upon opening the package, my jaw literally dropped as I have been wanting this camera for the last year or two. The UV lens and extra battery pack came in handy. However, the camera bag was no where to be found. And I didn't have a legitimate cleaning kit. The kit smelled like moth balls and gave me a migraine and the screen protector was cheapo having scratched the LED screen on the camera. There were no ingredients list for the lens cleaner and so I was hesitant to use it, and who gives q-tips to clean their DSLR? I wished I got a lens brush and air blower dust cleaner instead. Aside from the cheap cleaning kit that did not protect my screen and the missing camera bag, I can't deny that this was a good deal for the bundle. This is my very first DSLR, and I hope to use it well!"
"we placed our original order on-line and found the process to be very easy and fast. that was done on 01/01/13. today i received a phone call from Scott re: the order. specifically wanted to make sure of the shipping address since it was different from our home address. i appreciate that level of concern. he then offered a couple of other options that seemed feasible to me. he was not pushy or rude in his approach to trying to sell me additional products. based on my experience so far with your company i would recommend you to others. "This is an update to a review that I made on A.J. Richies.com about 10 days ago. I ordered a Canon Rebel T3i from A.J. Richies on the 14th of December; after the camera arrived I started checking it out and found a problem with it. I sent and made a number of calls to A.J. Richies Customer Support Department; all of my emails were automatically responded to. They directed me to call the company, which I did and I was only able to leave a voicemail message. Not one of my messages have been responded to over the past week. I am completely disatisfied with this company and would not recommed anyone to do business with them. It is like dealing with a black hole; everything goes in and nothing comes out.

My advice at this point is that you are at risk if you place an order with this outfit. I wrote them a letter on the 2nd of January 2013 expressing my dissatisfaction with their lack of cooperation and complete failure to work with my to resolve a problem. I spent over $800.00 and I got ZIP cooperation from them. No returned phone calls and even my letter has gone unanswered. They got me once but they will never get another chance to screw me over again. What a horrible outfit and they don't seem to give a damn what you think. Not one bit of effort on their end to work things out. "
"FRAUDS! Do not order from this company under any circumstances. Batteries ordered and paid for never received. Ordered a Nikon D7000 with USA warantee. Received a used (possibly stolen working with NY on this) grey market international no USA Warantee unit. Half of the accessories missing from the box. They promised to send out the batteries and an RA# to return the camera kit. Haven't received anything. Calls never answered or voice mail. Emails not answered. Turned over to my credit card company for fraud and working with State of NY. Stay away!"

"Where do I begin? A real bunch of internet scammers? You bet!! Bait and switch tactics? You bet!! Rude or non-existent Customer Service? Of course!! Unresponsive to emails or phone calls? OH YEAH!! Stay away from these guys because they are real crooks!!! I ordered a camera from them on 11/25/12 because it came up in an internet search as a lower price. Got an order confirmation but didn't hear anything from them for 5 days about shipping or processing. Called them and got an upsell routine because they said the model that I ordered would be an "international' model without a full Sony warranty! Got a new price quoted about $80 more than original order! Reluctantly agreed to this and didn't receive any new order confirmation or anything for another 5 days! However, my credit card was charged instantly this new price!! Called again when I didn't hear from them or recive another new invoice and told them to cancel the order! Put the transaction against my credit card on "dispute"! Was then notified within one day that my order was closed and my credit card would be refunded in 24-48 hours. Well the dispute was closed that day but I have yet to receive a credit back to my card and it's been over a month!! They transfer you around on the phone when you call and then bury you in what is probably a "dead voicemail box". You can leave a message with "Zack" but I doubt he exists because he never returns your calls!! My next contact with these guys will be through the NYC Attorney General's fraud complaint process!!"
