"I placed an order on the 12th for a thermaltake athlon 64 heatsink fan. I received an email from an ajump.com CSR stating my shipping address was not on file with my credit card issuer and my order would be canceled if they did not hear from me. Ofcourse my mailing address has been on file with my card issuer for over a year. I even included the customer service number for my mastercard during the checkout process. I called them and simply repeated all the information I provided with my order and shortly after I receive another email stating they had "verified" my address. I've placed orders with several online vendors and never had this problem before.
One week later UPS drops off the heatsink/fan. The outside box is in perfect condition, but when I open it the fan on the heatsink is smashed. It would take a great deal of force to smash an 80mm fan like this so it was obvious it was packed that way at their warehouse or the manufacturer. It could easily be seen through the clear package. I call to RMA the part and after explaining it is damaged the rep puts me on hold. When he comes back I'm told "well, you can file a claim with UPS...". I refused because UPS was not at fault the outside box was in great condition. I'm put on hold again and then told to go to the website and file an RMA request. I didn't have access to a computer because my old machine died and I was in the middle of ordering all the parts for a new system. Then I was told there was no way to do an RMA over the phone. Finally I get the rep to take down my information and do the RMA, because I really didn't want to go to the library or borrow a friends computer just to submit a return. I'm then told I will receive an email from ajump.com in 24-48 hours with the RMA number and instructions. So I still have to get access to a computer to check my email. I will have to pay shipping and a restocking fee to return the $26 heatsink/fan. Apparently they don't consider physical damage done before shipping to be their responsibility.
I'm going to just order a new one from newegg or excaliberpc and let ajump.com deal with my credit card company. I'm surprised they have a decent resellerrating, this is definately the worst experience I've had with an online retailer.

"I used a VISA gift card to make a purchase on the 11th. I first called them to see if I could use this card on-line and they said it would be fine. I have placed four other orders on-line with other companys and had no probs whatsoever. I placed my order and got a confirming e-mail within the hour. A day and a half later I got an e-mail saying my order could not be processed and would not be shipped. I called them Monday (no weekend avaliability for customer service) and they told me my order couldn't be shipped "because the billing and shipping address aren't the same". I pointed out that since I had used a gift card there wouldn't be any billing address and that they had told me before that this would not be a problem. Also, the funds had now been earmarked for the purchase and were unavailable to me to use anywhere else since they had notified the company of their intent to bill me. I gave them the number of the VISA issue company, which I had also included with my original order. The service rep then promised to call back, but never did. When I called (again) he was "unavailable". Throughout this experience they repeatedly ignored calls and e-mail and never really showed any desire to resolve the problem. I got the distinct impression that customer service is the last thing they are interested in. Thank God I didn't make a large purchase and then need to resolve some prob with breakage or malfunction. This is the last place I would shop if customer service was a concern, or I needed to use a gift certificate. "Excellent (and fast) service! I had purchased the wrong memory for my motherboard, due to incorrect specs on the MB user guide, so I contacted the merchant and explained to them about my situation. To my surprise, they went through the trouble to research for the correct specs to ensure I would end up with the right memory (which I got right away)!
Personally, I've been feeling like customer satisfaction is a thing of the past, especially with many online retailers, but I definitely feel AJump.com is one that still believes in gratification, and that's enough to keep me as a loyal customer."
