"Be aware that the final price during checkout is not the final price. I got a call the next day with the shipping insurance price. Seems like a poor practice but I still got the best price around even after the insurance cost.

Customer service explained that they are working to get that shipping insurance cost out front on the web site but they are not there yet. Hopefully they'll get it set up soon."

"The reason I’m happy to rate AllTimeTVs.com 5 stars is their customer service rep Frank. He worked with me to find a solution to an unfortunate situation.

I order a TV on June 12, 2013 (the TV is finally shipping Aug 16, 2013). Due to reasons outside the control of AllTimeTVs.com, the Panasonic 60” TV was on back order. This was the case on every online store (I suspect because of cnet’s 5 star rating on the TV). I called up AllTimeTVs.com and talked with their customer service rep Frank on Aug 15. He apologized for the inconvenience and explained the backorder situation with this particular TV. I expressed my disappointment and considered canceling my order. However, before I canceled my order I called Panasonic to get a full understanding of the backorder situation and I figured I could order the TV directly from them. The Panasonic rep explained that the TV was indeed on backorder and I couldn’t be guaranteed this model/size TV for another 1 to 2 months. I asked the Panasonic rep about the same model TV in different sizes and the only size they had was the 65” at $2400. I called AllTimeTVs.com and Frank told me that they offer the same 65” TV for $1885. I placed the order for the 65” TV. He also worked to get me free express shipping and handling because of the 2 months I’ve been waiting for my order.

Obviously I’m not happy that I had to wait 2 months for a TV, but the silver lining is the customer service I received from Frank. It’s nice to know that an online company had a phone number that I could call and talk to a person. It was also nice to have a customer service rep that actively worked with me to find an agreeable solution to my situation.

I haven’t received the TV yet, but Frank told me to expect express shipment and a great product. I have no reason to expect otherwise.
