"I have been an Amazon.com customer for many years. And I've always had good luck with them. The few times I've had a problem they were quick to deal with.
One issue I have with them is the speed of their super saver shipping. There seems to be a purposeful lag built-in. However, I can understand this given that they're offering you free shipping. But, most importantly they're upfront about the delay (if not the true reason for the delay). You'll see more often then not when there is something expensive on the order it will ship really quick so that they can charge your card.
Probably one of my favorite things about Amazon is their website. In some cases the navigation has a learning curve, but it's powerful. And the tools are great including the universal wish list which has made it really easy for me since we have family in different States.
My only real complaint with Amazon is their third party sellers. It is especially a problem around Christmas time when these resellers jump on there with ridiculous prices on toys -- and not just hard to find toys. For someone like me it's not a problem to just go to a local store. But, for some people getting out to store at Christmas time is not an option.

"I ordered a Canon T1i from Amazon over 6 weeks ago. They were out of stock, but notified me within a week that they had them in stock and gave me a shipping estimate a month away. I received no further updates, so I emailed them a week ago and received a notice that there was some delay and they were postponing the estimate. Today, I get a notice that they expect further delay and I need to confirm if I want to continue to wait or cancel my order and order from somewhere else. The problem is, the price for this camera has gone up $150 in the past 6 weeks. I go to confirm my order (which the email says I must do before March 10 or else the order will be canceled) my order is missing. I have no outstanding orders with Amazon. So now, I have no camera and they have canceled my order and I am faced with having to pay $150 more for the same camera. I bought all the accessories for this camera when I placed the order for the camera. Those are all here, but of no use. Terrible experience with lots of stress thus far. "
"Amazon is PERFECT. The only Problem is that so many items and benefits only for US "they don't ship to Dubai. I started with them in 2005. If I tell you about a problem, which happened with me. By mistake they send me wrong items. I contact them via e-mail. First they refunded me. Second I was given my items plus I have got 6 extra copies and they told me don't return them and you could give them as gifts, or donate them to colleges "WOW"
About their prices they are the best. The lowest price and the best quality =) I LOVE them.
The only problem some most of the items can't be shipped to my location. and another problem, which is the video games. They don't ship video games anymore to my location! I haven't contact them yet.

If they could at least ship electronics, video games and some used items I will not have to buy from any other store. My two favorite stores are

"I have been waiting a long time saving up to purchase a Nikon 18-200mm lens for general photography use. I have been scouting the different companies that produce the same type of lens. I found that the Sigma with its OS system, though it is more audible, was consistently rated higher than the Nikon equivalent at almost twice the price for the Nikon. I received the lens in record time and was never happier with the service from Amazon. The lens works just fine in the early stages of ownership and I feel I made the right choice in this purchase. Now for the even better news. I revisited the Amazon website and saw that Amazon had lowered the price by some $46. I called their customer service line and asked about this discrepancy. The fellow at the other end of the phone assured me that he would refund the difference immediately. Wow!! Way to go, Amazon!! Now, that's keeping the customer satisfied. You can bet I am staying with Amazon."
