"Amazon.com never failed me. Being that I occasionally order from them with items stemming from: Books, electronics, tools, DVDs, toiletries and some clothing as well. All my orders arrived on time, and some earlier than the estimated arrival time. So far, so good that I haven't had a complaint with any of my orders, and believe me - I order from them a lot. "

"I had bought a camera set with accessories from this company. I considered their prices are good.
One thing I didn't like was one of the camera lens package looked like an open box lens, as I found that the box with some dirty finger print on it and the box lid is not fully closed. It seems somebody returned it and just pushed the stuff back into the box improperly. Anyway, I still considered Amazon.com is one of the best internet selling company in my internet purchasing history.

"I bought a Refurbished Nuvi 500 sold directly by Amazon on Nov 24 for a Xmas gift for $133. On Dec 25 (yes Xmas day and over a month later) they cancelled my order claiming they could not get it any longer. Their resellers on Amazon were still selling the Refurbished units for $209, but Amazon kept denying that they could fulfill the order from them. Three weeks later, the refurbished unit from that reseller is being directly fulfilled by Amazon. They straight out lied to me and the BBB. Amazon has extremely poor and untrustworthy practices. As I had already promised it on Xmas day, I had to buy one at full price. Needless to say, I will not trust Amazon ever again. Shop at your own risk.

The icing on the cake is that their customer service is really bad as well, they kept avoiding my complaint and instead replied to items I had not even requested or complained about; completely useless. At one point they replied that they did a search on "Garmin" but could not find any products; but if you try you will see that literally hundreds of products come up (and that is not even the correct search in the first place, they should have read the e-mail before answering) --> shows you that they never even tried, just copied bits and pieces from the e-mail and stone wall everything.

Reading other reviews here, it seems to be fairly common ... if anything goes wrong; good luck having them to the right thing!

"Amazon is hands-down the most professional internet retailer around. I've been buying from them and from individual sellers through Amazon Marketplace for the past 6 years and have gravitated toward Amazon more and more as time has passed. Once in a very long while an individual Marketplace seller will goof on an order, but I've always gotten a full refund at worst. The shipping times around the holidays are particularly impressive, as they seem to deliver every order (regardless of shipping speed chosen) within 2-3 days of purchase when bought from Amazon itself."

"The estimated delivery date passed, which is one month after my order. I haven't received the book. I checked my Amazon account and didn't even find my order. I contacted Amazon by email and it turns out that I have 2 accounts. I must have screwed up while trying to update my account.
So, I was asked to send them a new password and they would fix it. The only thing that changed was my password, yet no order shows in my account.
I emailed them again and asked them to delete/ close any other account, because it must have been a mistake (of mine)and I just want 1 account.
I received an email back asking me to follow the exact same steps to change my password I did that very same day again.
What's wrong with these folks? I don't want to change my password (again)! HELLOOOO!!! Just read the emails I send.
They ask you not to return any emails but to follow up on a link. That's where it goes through too many hands without a history, since there is no email string. What a hassle.
Oh, I should have mentioned that they did tell me the first time that if I haven't received my book by Feb 15 (ANOTHER MONTH LATER) they would send anotherone out. Since it's the second book of a trilogy, I should start reading the first book again, because I don't think I remember anything 'til the second part arrived. Luckily, I already found the 3rd part here.
