"I purchased a Callaway FT9iq driver at 275.49 on 3/22/09. Shipping was a bit slow but thats not the problem. I had a minor mishap with the club in June and returned the club to Callaway. I was informed that the club was counterfeit and warned against playing with same. After many phone calls Amazons last e-mail from Amazon indicated to make a claim against my credit card company in that they would not cover replacement or refund. (Amazon will respond only by e-mail) This was dated 11/09/09.It took Amazon from late June till November 9, 2009 to tell me they will not do anything. Don't do business with Amazon.com."
"Great website. Got an LCD and Blu-Ray DVD player during a promotion. Great pricing!"
"Ordered a iPod Touch 8gb. Came wrapped with only two air bags and was rattling around in the box. Was ordered for a birthday present and arrived 10 days prior. Fine...they would send another. They didn't send it priority mail and it arrived the day after the birthday party. Cheap of them to save a few cents with priorty mail doesn't cost more than a few pennies more. The replacement arrived with more air bags and two were deflated and the iPod was able to move around in the box. I have ordered a lot from Amazon, but I will never again order any electronics. They have gone down hill. "
"Good Books and great service with all sellers."
"Amazon is the next to New Egg alternative E-shopping place for me. They also are Very Good at satisfying a customer w/price and service. I have a very good shopping experience w/both. Amazon has resolved any bump that has arisen in a very satisfactory manner. "
"I ordered a huge plasma tv, blu-ray player and receiver from amazon, for almost $1000 dollars less than just the tv at best buy. Incredible. Shipping was on time and all items arrived in perfect condition. What else can you ask for?"
"Ordered a Hard Drive as a gift.
fourteen days after it was shopped & billed, still no delivery. Called today and got an off shore female with a terible accent. Nice person, but unable to speak understandable English. Bummer. I am unsure as to the outcome of the conversation, they may reship the item. I need a dose of patience."
"I placed an order of almost $84 for some video games for my son for Christmas. Unfortunately, the way Amazon.com shipped them was inadequate. They put them in a package that wasn't sealed at all on the sides (not a box, more like an envelope with carboard sides). It wasn't taped and when the package arrived via USPS, the games were falling out of the package. My son got the mail and was able to see everything in the package ruining the Christmas surprise. To me, I'm now out $84 that I spent towards surprising my son on Christmas morning. When I called Amazon, they wanted me to ship the items back to them so they could re-send them back to me. When I asked what sense that made, the person I spoke with, (who had what appeared to be such a thick Indian accent that I couldn't understand her at times) offered me a $5 promo code and an apology. Not good enough for me losing out on $84 worth of Christmas gifts that were supposed to be a surprise. "
"I purchased a Tilt Adjustable HDTV, LCD, Plasma, Wall Mount Bracket for 30"-63" TV's from "MERITLINE.COM".
PROS: A great price. A very nice product. A nice thick guage of metal, a nice arangement of mounting holes in the bracklet, to accomadte the varring stud centers in the walls, and the best part, it comes with evrything you need to mount it to any solid surface for secure support. Also; it came with FREE 15 Feet HDMI v1.3b Male to Male Cable, Category 2 Certified, 28AWG Cable.
CONS: 1) The supplied and intergrated level is not accurate. Had to use my own level to properly level the bracket. Not a big deal, unless you had already mounted it, using the supplied level, put your TV on it and stood back and seen that it is crooked. 2) The bracket should be 2 inches longer to anchor it at both ends to 16" center studs. However, like I said before, the thick guage of the bracket is such that this is not a nesessity but would be nice for that added touch of security."
"Amazon is great. Every year I do thousands of dollars in purchases with them. Never once have I had a bad experience. I have screwed up my fair share of orders (accidentally ordering DVD instead of Blu-Ray, etc.) and they are great to work with. I look forward to shopping at Amazon, they are a great company."
"bought a tv tuner and it didnt work too well so i returned it. quick and easy."
"I love Amazon.com. I shop there almost weekly. I always check to see if they have a better price when I buy online. I have a Prime membership that has saved me so much on shipping costs. Their prices beat everyone 4 out of 5 times."
"I made many purchases from Amazon (both through the "Sold and shipped by Amazon.com" and through the Amazon marketplace with other Amazon-listed vendors. For Amazon itself I have never had an order go wrong. Usually excellent prices, often with free shipping (I cross shop a lot of online vendors so if I end up buying from Amazon its because they had the best deal on the item from a reputable vendor). For example, the Delorme PN-30 I just ordered and recieved from Amazon was WELL under listed prices elsewhere on some Amazon promotion. $199 when the next closest from a reputable vendor was $30 more.
Items usually ship quickly, and pre-orders often end up arriving a day or two before they officially hit the market (particularly books for some reason). I just got a book today (29th) that does not hit the stores until the 2nd. Probably a quirk in shipping to allow the book to reach the customer on the offical 'release' date, but sometimes it works out in your favor quite well!
Highly recommend Amazon.com."
"After buying what seems like zillions of things from Amazon, whose customer service has always been right on top of any problems, I've noticed that times are changing. Customer service numbers that used to get me a live person here in the States, now gets me a live person in the Philipines or elsewhere thanks to Amazon's outsourcing Customer service off-shore. Just try to explain to Philipino native how someone overcharged me for state sales tax on an Amazon Markerplace vendor's product at 4:00am in Luzon. E-mails resulted in another e-mail telling me it was all Jos. E Bank's fault that too much money was withheld for state tax. Then an phone call to Amazon's vendor explains how it isn't their fault, but Amazon's, and then the e-mails just go dead and I never see the overcollected sales tax. Be careful!"
"I must first admit to previously being very disappointed with Amazon's delivery times but this time I take it all back- perhaps they've made some changes in their company or something, because I received this order very swiftly and I could not help but feel taken aback. Top marks to Amazon.. at least for now ;)"
