"Awful ever service I used. Next points were made my decision to get rid from Amazon:
1) They have canceled my order without any notifications;
2) They have blocked my account for investigation notes as they said without telling me anything
3) Customer service in India with poor English;
4) There is no possibility to recover your password on weekends
"
"What a shame. Amazon grew rapidly because of great prices and good customer service. Then, they got greedy and wanted their customers to pay for "Prime". If you don't pay for Prime, they penalize you with extremely slow shipping. Your order can sit for weeks before they finally decide you've waited long enough and then ship it.
As if that wasn't enough to convince you to stay away, Amazon actively promoted the idea of collecting sales tax. It would be one thing if it was forced on them, but no, they willing participated in passing the new law because they thought it would hurt their competitors more.
What was once my vendor of first choice is now my vendor of last resort. I know they're huge and probably don't miss me, but if enough of us take a pass on their BS it might educate the next internet sensation."
"I can't believe all of the negatives about Amazon. From my viewpoint they are an amazing company! They have always gone the 2nd mile for us and we are nobody. On the recent order, I had to return a defective item. They paid for the return shipping & shipped out the replacement unbelievably fast. We were leaving town for 3 weeks & were anxious about the package coming while we were away. Somehow they got it here before we left! That's customer service!"
"Love this website and shop their products all the time. "
"Anyone who isn't happy with Amazon is probably paid to say otherwise or not happy with anything . Amazon is the business every other retail outlet aspires to be. They rock and thats why they have what is probably the largest retail business of all time. "
"Amazon.com has gone down the tubes! What was once my first choice for online shopping has become my last resort. In November I ordered an in-stock item with super saver shipping. I didn't expect fast delivery, but after a couple of weeks it still hadn't left the warehouse. It took several calls to get the issue resolved. I should have learned, but foolishly ordered a $14 item from Amazon again a week a go, paying $7 standard shipping. A week later, the item has yet to ship. It is clear that Amazon is hoping we will pay for their Prime service, expecting that items might then be delivered in a timely manner. After spending THOUSANDS of $ at Amazon over the years, I am DONE. "
"Amazon has a serious inventory problem with their third party resellers. When you order from an Amazon reseller, you're very likely not buying it from that reseller. Amazon has a program called Fulfillment By Amazon (FBA). Thankfully, Amazon indicates who is a FBA reseller or not. FBA centers handle everything for them. They stock, package, and ship the items from Amazon's warehouses. They also handle all the customer service, refunds, and returns for the FBA reseller.
The FBA reseller's only responsibility is to ship their items to Amazon's warehouses, and that is where things can breaking down.
I have experienced this twice. I should have known better, but this time I ordered a USB flash memory stick from a FBA reseller that they said was in stock. Two days later they said it shipped. Another seven days go by and it did not arrive as estimated. I checked Fedex tracking and they showed it NEVER LEFT THE WAREHOUSE! The shipping label was created but the package never reached Fedex. Upon further investigation, the item was never in stock when I ordered, and it now shows it's on backorder. Amazon said I have to wait another 6 days to see if it shows up before I can ask for a refund because they said Fedex tracking may be wrong and it may still be on its way. I've already waited 12 days and I have to wait another 6 days? WTH?
Nevertheless, Fulfillment By Amazon dropped the ball. They do this a lot. Just check for yourself. Look at the reseller feedback. The number one complaint is items not being in stock or not arriving when they indicate they are in stock or have supposedly shipped. Worst of all, Amazon tries to delete the negative feedback because they, FBA, says they are to blame. What a mess.
Until Amazon fulfillment centers provide better inventory control, I will never order from a FBA reseller ever again. I advise everyone else who sees this to do the same."
"I bought an item from their third party seller. They don't list clearly where the third party sellers are located and only realized I was buying from a seller from China after it was shipped. I've had problems receiving items from China and wouldn't have bought the item if it was clear that it was shipped from there. I asked amazon to try to cancel the transaction and they said they would contact the seller and ask them to ask the shipper to return the item and refund me. The seller drags their feet and answers 3 days later that the item is shipped and they can't do anything. I ask amazon for a refund directly as I feel it's their responsibility to list clearly where items are coming from. The response I got was that I should look harder when I buy an item to make sure where it is being shipped from. In this case, the seller page doesn't state where they are from on their main description page and you have to go all the way to their shipping methods to figure out that they use China post shipping. For a website, that has 1-click shipping where you don't have to do any of that to buy something, I think it's hypocritical to expect buyers to have to look that hard to find where an item is coming from.
It's not Amazon's fault that for whatever reason, I've had major trouble receiving items from international shippers, but I think they are partly at fault for not clearly stating where their items are coming from when making a purchase. Instead of accepting some responsibility, all I got was curt responses from the customer service supervisor and a reply that I have to wait the inevitable weeks for the item to not arrive before filing a claim. The supervisors last advice was that I should be more careful before making a purchase on Amazon and in that case I agree. I am going to be more careful not to buy anything from their third party sellers or directly from them. "
"To many third party sellers on amazon are advertising "in stock" but in reality they don't have ANY stock at all, All they do is take YOUR MONEY, keep half and order from some overseas sellers at fraction of the cost you spent. Thats why it takes a package 3 weeks to go from New York to Maine."
"On time and correct. What more could you want. Prime is the best! If I make a error in the order no problem on returns at s]all."
"I have purchased more items than I can count from Amazon and have been very happy with my shopping experience with Amazon. If I could give some constructive criticism on there website, I would admit its not the easiest to find the item I'm looking for if I am browsing for it but if I have a part number from a source like another website, I typically find it on Amazon and they have someone with it in stock."
"Done most of my Christmas shopping thru Amazon and they were amazing!"
"I always thought Amazon was a customer company, but I found out they would care less as long as they get their money. Dealing with a third party vendor like hoot gives them a bad name and will at the end lose them business. I know they have lost my while families business. What a shame a liked them for years."
"I ordered a watch on 12/19/2015 which was in stock. As of today, 12/25/2015, it hasn't even left their warehouse. Other companies I ordered items from shipped within 2 days of placing an order. It's been 6 days and I have no idea when it will ship. This isn't the first time this has happened. It seems Amazon has a problem shipping from their warehouse.
Be careful when ordering from Amazon. This company isn't for me. There are far better companies around to order from."
"I place an order and paid extra to have two day shipping, it was the only Christmas present I could afford to buy my kids this year. The fist package they said was delivered but it never arrived. I called and they said they would gurantee overnight shipping so I could get it today. I even had an email confiming it would be delivered but when I went to check on the status of the delivery it wasn't scheduled to come till December 29th, 2015 when I called they told me there was nothing they could do they were out of stock. THEY TOOK ALL THE MONEY I HAD TO SPEND ON MY KIDS FOR CHRISTMAS AND SANTA WON'T HAVE ANY PRESENTS TO BRING MY CHILDREN
