"I placed this order with the the guarentee as a Prime member that I will receive it within 2 days. This was a present for my husband for our anniversary. I received a notification from USPS that I was not home therefor they could not deliver at 9:05pm even though I was home. The instructions from Amazon is always to leave at addresa if there is no response. I did not receive a receipt from USPS for pickup at the post office either. I went to the post office to pick up my package with great dismay only to find out it is not there. They were very rude and told me that I can tell Amazon what I want. As far as I know they are your carrier and they have an agreement to fulfill. Needless to say my anniversary gift to my husband was late and I had a bad experience. What are Amazon going to do about this? I truely hope that this is not the normal way that Amazon want to business with its Prime members?

"Horrible customer service. I have been on hold for over two hours today trying to track down a package that was guaranteed delivery yesterday. Amazon keeps saying the issue is out of their hands but they shouldn't guarantee delivery and let their shipping companies not follow through. "
"I place an order for Christmas on December 8th. I got an email saying it would be delivered a little later than expected. December 17th I got an email that said the company was not going to be able to fill my order and advised me to cancel it. I will not order from Amazon again as this was a gift I really needed and a price I could afford. Now I have to look for something else at this late date, it will be twice the price. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE SERVICE. The company that was sending the item is a bad reflection of AMAZON so I won't use Amazon anymore. "
"I have been a customer and member of Amazon for many years now and probably over two or three items a week through them for our household. This particular item was ordered but was too big and we ordered another the correct size and returned this. To my amazement I had to pay approx 25% of the total cost in shipping fees and when I challenged this with their customer service team they were very unhelpful and put a lot of blockages and obstacles in my way for an hour before I lost patience and decided this review is more than deserved as the window dressing of Amazon is nothing more than a sticker and the real display is pure ignorance."
"I have been an Amazon Prime member for a long time, and I am very happy with everything.
First, Amazon does an amazing, mind-bogglingly good job of shipping. I don't know how it can be done, but they cracked the code on that one, for sure.
The free, two day shipping is important to me because I do most of my shopping online, and I like to get things in a timely manner. The packaging is from fair to excellent, but never bad. Long ago, I had some complaints about that, but they have improved over the years.
The number of movies and stuff that I can watch for free (well, included in membership) is significant, and the selection is very good, especially useful documentaries.
I know that I can always shop with confidence when I select Amazon Prime items that are sold and shipped by Amazon, or at least shipped by Amazon with a reputable retailer behind it. I am so glad that I can look up the retailers' ranking for satisfaction before buying.
Another important thing, and one of the main reasons why I started shopping with Amazon in the first place is the customer, 5 star rating system. That means a lot to me because I have little tolerance for buying junk. And it works, because I have had good luck that way with Amazon.
Maybe my review reads like a love letter, but I don't care; maybe I am a little bit in love with Amazon, and why not? If all my relationships in business were this good, I would be a very happy businessman, indeed."
"I love Amazon for the prices and the availability of items. Anything you need you can get at a good price. I see some negative comments about the shipping problems. I can say that Amazon rarely if ever gets my order wrong. I almost always get what I ask for. The time frame is not really something I pay much attention to. I just look out for the package every day, check my e-mail, and that solves the problem for me. So I cannot really comment on whether or not Amazon is "fast" because the truth is I don't care, by and large. Sometimes I use the independent sellers. I have a tendency to read the reviews BEFORE I place an order with them and that works out fine. I would recommend Amazon to anyone who is fairly experienced in online shopping and does not mind doing a little "digging" for a good deal. "
"I am a Prime member but in the last 15 days, most of my deliveries have been delayed or wrongly cancelled. I do not think that they are coping with the Black Friday and Christmas load. What's bad is that their customer services people I talked to and chatted with (3 people) have such arrogant attitude. "
"I have been doing business with Amazon long before it was famous. I loved the company for it's customer service and customer first attitude. However, recently their customer service has been terrible - It is so bad, I think it is worst than acceptable. The customer service agents fail to understand your concern, sometime they provide wrong information and often they blatantly lie or put fault at customers hand.
I have been shopping with Amazon since 2004 but it stopped today. Cancelled all my orders, cancelled my Amazon Visa card and closed my account."
"Before your items would always ship fast within a few days now it seem like everything I order takes 5-10 days before it ships. I am using the free shipping but really 5-10 days just to ship it. Really not a fan of Amazon anymore. I guess if I want it shipped fast I have to purchase Prime but even small internet companies ship items in a day or so with free shipping."
"I purchased 6 items on Monday (11/30/15). My mistake was to purchase 6 items in the same order. I don't have prime. I noticed delivery would be anywhere from 8 to 11 days. I asked for a free upgrade. The delivery will supposedly come on 12/7/15 (Monday) but it still hasn't shipped even though it was supposed to be shipped on Wednesday.
Customer service was trying to send me the one item I needed but couldn't do it. I asked for a supervisor to see if he could upgrade me. I discussed the mistake I made in ordering everything together. The one item I was ordering was from a company 1 hr away from my home and I should have just ordered directly from the company. The supervisor upgraded me to a full week delivery and told me "That if I agreed to this upgrade that I was in jeopardy of losing my Amazon account." I agreed. Is this supervisor that stupid to think that I cannot purchase items elsewhere? Apparently so! I had to laugh. What a stupid, stupid comment.
I ordered something else from another website on Monday with free shipping for everything. Received the items on Wednesday from one coast to the other. Amazon is having issues. I hope Jet.com blows them away. I won't be purchasing from Amazon anymore.
